Mancala… is back from the trash!

After Virus Hunter, it appears we will have another adventure… well, of course, I suppose. But it appears Poptropica is recycling old ideas.

First, you may remember the game of Mancala that must be won against the mountain man on Nabooti Island to continue into the cave. (Remember, if you have yet to complete Nabooti Island, the help you need can be found on the Nabooti Island Guide listed on our Island Help page.)

Sounds to me like somebody’s running out of ideas. Let’s prove it: how many times have we had to dig around in trash cans for clues? Many, many, times. But look at this latest sneak peek:

And yes, that is a Bones reference. From time to time we get a reminder of some of the great little things that Poptropica offers. One of those things is the abundance of free Mini-Quests that are available. Good ol’ Captain Crawfish is giving us a reminder about those Mini-Quests. Legendary Swords, Shrink Shot, Prepare for Impact, Dr. Hare’s Secret Lab, and the Haunted House are free and available for you to play.

Go out to the Poptropica Store and get any of those epic free adventures you don’t have right now!

Speaking of Legendary Swords, when are we getting those updates promised a year and a half ago? I would be pretty excited getting a Battle Arena or some new legendary adventures!

In other news, some strange images have been showing up in the Daily Pop. I don’t really know what to make of these sneak peeks.

  • On his trip abroad, he acquired a foreign disease
  • It is our job to cure that disease
  • The common room could be Bob’s Place Barbeque (coupon)
  • Lastly, maybe the disease isn’t a real disease… what if it’s… nanobots?

In the U.S., it’s been announced that the United States Postal Service is going to quit delivering on Saturdays to save money. It seems the Creators have a response for that; they have a response for everything.

Notice that on the lockers, there are names of Creators, like Ashley Lange, Nasan Hardcastle, Jennifer Wood, Christopher Barney…

This could also double as a cameo for Virus Hunter Island. See “Test Subjects Wanted” on the bulletin board.
