Daily Pop, Mystery Train Island

It’s a mystery!

The PCB just announced the latest island: Mystery Train Island! That’s right.

Remember all those sneak peeks the creators had 0n the Daily Pop about all the cabooses and trains? Well, it’ll all be in the next new Mystery Train Island!

You creators are fast :D. Boy, Shrink Ray Island just came out and now you’re announcing a new island? The creators have been working at a fast pace lately. New islands are constantly being released after another. In the past an island seemed to come out every 4 months…but now.

The new island has also appeared on the map with a coming soon sign! The symbol shows  a train with steam smoldering around it. Really do hope there’s going to be a sneak peek game like shrink shot. 🙂

My bet on this island is that it’s about some robbery or criminal act that occured on a train, and so it’d be your job to solve the case and catch the culprit. Guess we’ll just have to wait for details. So far we’re left with a name and a few sneak peeks. We just know it has to deal with a train and mystery. This island is still a mystery…for now. 😉

Shrink the shot!

Do you have what it takes to beat Shark Boy’s high score on the Shrink Shot minigame? Be sure to check it out on Shrink Ray Island if you haven’t already.

According to the ending of that video from the PoptropicaCreators, as well as Poptropica’s official Shrink Ray Island info page, Shrink Ray Island starts on June 30th! It didn’t say whether that applied to members only or to everyone, although we can assume they meant the members first (but you never know, right?).

Stick the banner's HTML code into your website!

In other news, comics are back up and running on the Daily Pop, and Director D. thanks you for your patience. 🙂

Also, check out our Poptropica Help Network site (www.poptropicahelp.net)! It’s recently been updated for accuracy, and the banners page has seen the most improvement. Six new banners were created to advertise the PHN, which you can embed into a website to help spread the word! (Click the labels at the top to navigate the site.) Remember, the PHB (blog.poptropicahelp.net) is only one part of our large Poptropica community!

Daily Pop

Don’t panic, folks, trained monkeys are on it!

This is one of those posts you might think “What in the world is going on?”. Truth is, it’s only a minor glitch in the game of Poptropica :). A minor glitch has occured in the Daily Pop. Yes, the comics are no longer being updated *for now*. When was the last time someone saw a new Peanuts strip in the Daily Pop? Like three months ago! At first I thought the creators just forgot about the comics, turns out that a glitch is keeping new ones from coming in!

Some of you have noticed a glitch in the comics section of the Daily Pop. They’re not updating! Our team of trained monkeys is working overtime to fix the issue. We will let you know just as soon as it’s resolved.

DIRECTOR D.

Don’t panic, people! I’m sure everyone will live for the rest of the day without comics on the Daily Pop! A team of “trained monkeys…” are being put to work on the issue. Are you calling yourselves monkeys, creators? 0_0. Umm, how smart are these “monkeys”? Hopefully they’re smart enough to actually use the computer and not completely wipe out poptropica’s servers and files in the proccess…hopefully. The creators blog will be updated, and the Poptropica community informed when the issue is over. Seems as if Director D hasn’t been posting in awhile. His last post was when, 2 months ago?

CC: Does that mean I’m safe?! Finally! I won’t be forced by those monsters to do all these posts! I’m free!
Elmopwns: Nah, it just means you’ll live for about one more day…before we invite the entire phb community to a feast in the next time you post (idea taken from conversation in the previous comments!).
CC: NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! Why?! Why must you nom and torture me?! Why?!
Elmopwns: Because lobsters are delicious :D. Have you ever tried lobster Bisque?
CC: What in the world…
Lobster Bisque, yumm 😀 :

CC: Me in a soup? The horror 0_0…
Well, what’s your favorite way to nom Captain Crawfish?  Comment below!

In other short blogging news: My music theory exams are on Saturday (Pacific Time/LAX) time. They’re really hard music analysis questions with technical terms, over 100 words to memorize, different and complex notes and rhythms to answer questions about, and hardness overall :(. Wish me luck, everyone.

I will not be online for the next two days to post because of this and study. I’m also sharing just a bit of my parent’s companies. My dad’s www.bundled.com has officially launched into beta stage. The company helps people (18+) manage money and stuff. Read the webpage to learn more/manage money. Just a quick note, thanks for your help! It’s appreciated, guys. You’re the best community in the world. Ep signing out for two days, bye for now.

Creator Clips… and some Creator data!

Curiosity might have killed the cat. But the Creators know it won’t stop you. Thirsting for some knowledge? A new feature has been added into the Daily Pop: Creator Clips!

Introducing Creator Clips!

We’re thrilled to introduce a new feature in the Daily Pop: Creator Clips!

  • The most embarrassing thing that ever happened to Rick Riordan, the author of Percy Jackson and the Olympians
  • The worst job that Jeff Kinney, author of Diary of a Wimpy Kid, ever had
  • The scariest thing that ever happened to Mary Pope Osborne, author of The Magic Tree House
  • Something that Lincoln Peirce, writer and artist of Big Nate, has never told anyone before
And much, much more! Check out Creator Clips now in the Daily Pop. A new entry will be posted every Monday.

CAPTAIN CRAWFISH

Thanks for that, Captain Crawfish. Maybe we won’t eat you just yet. 🙂
CC: Whew! I’m still alive!
Hijuyo: Watch it! I said YET.
That’s not the only place you can get information about people who have played a part in Poptropica. The Poptropica Help Blog offers, among other cool stuff, the Poptropica Creators Database – a collection of data we know about the identities of the Poptropica Creators, the very people who work to create for us such an awesome game!
Recently a new section has been added to our Creators Database, and our thanks goes to Quiet Eagle for discovering the identity of Director D – who is known to his workmates as James Lema! Besides being the former director of Spy Island HQ, James is also the Director of Product Development at Poptropica’s Headquarters! Read more about it in our database.
CC: Bet you’ll never find MY real name!
Hijuyo: Do you WANT to be eaten?
CC: No, arrrr!
Hijuyo: Then keep a low profile, would you?
CC: Aye aye Captain.
Hijuyo: I can’t hear you.
CC: AYE AYE, CAPTAIN!
Hijuyo: Wait, I thought you were the Captain. Captain… Crawfish.
(At the word “crawfish,” crowds of hungry seals rush in to nom CC.)
CC: Aye, ’tis an omnom life for me.
Daily Pop, Skullduggery Island, Sneak Peeks, Store

Trees, Japanese, ships on seas and a winter freeze.

Hey guys! GB here. So sorry I haven’t posted in like, a MONTH. I was busy with… errands and stuff. 😛

Anyway, off the off-topicness, and on with the on topicness!

I report PCB posts!

Go climb a tree

What do you suppose is happening here?

I’ve never seen a Poptropican do that before…avatar image
CAPTAIN CRAWFISH

OMBR (Oh my blinking radish) that’s so cool! It looks like a tall tree too, and what do we grip on to?! What are we, part monkeys?! (BTW, I know a few siblings of mine who already are part monkey, in the noise factor, they’re howler monkeys)

Memoirs of a Poptropica costume

Looking through the store, it seems there are even more Japanese-inspired costumes that can get you geared up for the upcoming launch of Red Dragon Island. This Geisha costume for girls comes with a special item.

The Shamisen is a traditional three-stringed instrument found in Japan, which is a speciality of the Geisha. Put on this costume and press the spacebar to strum your Shamisen. Then sing yourself a happy tune as you await Red Dragon Island.

BLACK WIDOW

Yeahhh…. we kinda knew that already…

From the vault

Time goes by so quickly on Poptropica. Hard to believe that it’s been a year since we started working on Skullduggery Island. Here’s an early sketch of the Phoenix Warbird, dated from April 2010.

Somehow, that ended up being the ship that sank… me! Incredible.avatar image
CAPTAIN CRAWFISH

OMBAWRWO! (Oh my blinking and winking radish with onions… lol, I love being random) It’s a birthday!!!! WE NEED A CAKE!!!!! CANDLES!! RADISH!!! SONG!!!! 😀
Happy birthday to it,
I almost had a fit,
When I forgot it’s special day,
But we’ll PARTY anyway!! 😉
I am such a poet… 😆

Sleigh ride

It’s time to check in once again on our top scorers in the Daily Pop. This month, let’s take a look at our Sleigh Shot leaderboards. Because who doesn’t want to play a Christmas-themed game in April?

The scores are pretty tight. As of this writing, the day’s leader is Sticky Spinner with 7,917 points. The week’s leader is Green Catfish, with 8,310 points. But your monthly leader is…

Hyper Crumb, with 9,081 points! That looks like a beatable score to me. Do you have what it takes to become the top Sleigh Shot scorer in the month of April? You have a little over a week to find out!

CAPTAIN CRAWFISH

The creators are always just having posts telling us what we already know. Geez creators, get your game on. More peeks, less repeats.
Not that it rhymes, but it should be good. (did I mention I’ve got nearly 450 words in this post! Geez! I write such infrequent, mammoth posts!)
Later peeps!
