Realms, Timmy Failure Island

Timmy Failure tour page & new Realms video!

Heyyo Poptropicans, it’s Ultimate iPad Expert here to bring you some new info from the upcoming Timmy Failure Island. The Creators just officially announced the island on their blog last week and now have released the its island tour page.

Along with the above logo and character design (which were revealed when the island was announced), we also have a little more of a look into the plot in this description:

When danger lurks, and criminals hide around every corner, you need the best detective money can buy. That detective is not Timmy Failure — but don’t try to tell him that. You’re about to come face to face with the craziest cast of characters ever to appear on a Poptropica Island. Trying to solve this mystery is only the beginning!

Next up is a look at the island scenery through these sneak peeks:

For more sneak peeks, check out our Daily Pop Sneak Peek Archive as well as our trivia page for Timmy Failure Island, where you can discuss the upcoming island!

Lastly, there’s a printable poster design as well, featuring Timmy and his buddy Total:

In other news, there’s a new Poptropica Realms video from the Creators to show off some of the newer features! Check it out below:

That concludes this round of news! Are you excited for Timmy Failure Island? I personally haven’t read any of the books, but some of the other authors have been mentioning to me that they’re hilarious, so hopefully it’ll be comedically great. Comment your thoughts below!

Daily Pop Sneak Peeks, New Islands, Sneak Peeks, Timmy Failure Island

Timmy Failure Island is coming this September!

Hey guys, BT here to try and bring in some good news after the downer of the 7 sponsored members-only islands news.

Timmy Failure Island is officially announced, in, I shall say, in a unique way. Instead of the standard YouTube trailer, we’re given a short gif revealing an approximate release month for the island: September 2015.

There is an emphasis on the fact that this island is going to be in full color, similar to how Wimpy Boardwalk was advertised to be (as opposed to Wimpy Wonderland). Captain Crawfish also notes to keep an eye out for more “news, giveaways, and other great stuff” on the Creators’ Blog. I’m particularly curious about the giveaway part.

Although I have never personally read the series, I’m still semi-curious. HPuterpop told me it was about a kid who solves mysteries. I can see that working in a Poptropican environment. Can’t judge a book by its cover, so I’m willing to give this island a chance.

While we wait till September, please enjoy what I assume to be the product a bored Creator who must’ve been playing Silent Hill lately. And then decided to show a Poptropican version of a gore-free Pyramid Head off on the Daily Pop because why not.

Daily Pop Sneak Peeks, Timmy Failure Island

Daily Pop Peeks: Here comes Timmy Failure!

Hey Poptropicans! News has been a bit sparse lately in the Poptropica world, so now seems a good a time as any for another peek into the Daily Pop sneak peeks. This month’s peeks (and a few from last month) thus far have all been pointing to the previously confimed Timmy Failure Island:

It looks like this sponsored island will be drawn in a more flat, cartoony style unlike the typical Poptropica graphics (think Big Nate Island or Galactic Hot Dogs Island).

Personally I much prefer Poptropica’s usual style – even sponsored islands like Red Dragon or Nabooti are often forgotten to not be completely Poptropica-original quests because their art style fits the rest of the islands, and they tend not to be remembered as “just another [mediocre] sponsored island quest.” Let me know in the comments what you think: is the idea of Timmy Failure Island a failure, especially for those not well-acquainted with the franchise?

Meanwhile, the underground cave island we were hoping for this year seems to have been placed on the back burner as TF Island takes its place, according to this tweet:

In the rest of the Poptropica illustration world, we get a peek at a loose concept art painting (calling Poptropica “the Spirit of Adventure”) stated to be “new and not for any specific purpose”. Popstorm #27 has also been published, with the caption “Meet the frog family”.

Poptropica also casually mentioned this fun little protip for the next time you’re playing around on Realms: pressing the F key causes an avalanche!

Stay popping, Poptropicans. 🙂
