Welcome to a future where robots rule. Building computers to compete on TV game shows seemed like a funny idea – until the machines wanted more. Now, after years of robotic dominance, Poptropica needs a savior. Are you clever enough to beat the robots at their own games, and restore the dignity of all Poptropicans?

Sounds interesting! Looks like the “super-smart robots have taken over the world by winning all the money and prizes from game shows.”  (PCB) This is probably the island where the E.Vile robots originate and where the Mr. Yoshi stuff come from. IF you remember all of the Daily Pop sneak peeks about robots and such, this is the island! Can’t wait for this one! 😀 More info will follow soon!

Two new members-only costumes have made their way back to town too: The Cryptids Nessie Hat and the Hypnotic Costume!

The Cryptid Nessie Hat was only obtained if you happened to spot the Loch Ness Monster in the Cryptid minigame! This was one of the rare prizes. The hypnotic used to be obtained by clicking the middle window four floors up from the ground on the green building in Poptropica Towers on Early Poptropica. It’s still there, but if you click on the window, it will say member’s only. This has been noticed by many PHB readers. Get them while they’re hot, because you only have a week to date to get these elusive costumes! And if you haven’t got the 4th birthday costume, keep trying! 🙂

Well, you know the drill. One or two days after a new island is released, the creators put up “The Top 10 Finishers” of that island. The new Mystery Train Island has just been out for not more than a week. It took me a full DAY to get from beggining to end. I wonder how long it took these people…introducign *drumrollll*…THE TOP 10 FINISHERS OF MYSTERY TRAIN ISLAND

Congratulations to Messy Ghost, Smart Sky, Spotted Lizard, Shaky Chicken, Scary Peanut, Mighty Bird, Zippy Brain, Funny Lobster, Brave Rider, and last but not least White Lightning! These people sure finished fast! I wonder how long it took to finish it for these awesome gamers…probably less time than it took me xD

Mystery Not Solved…Yet!

Well, today is September 9, and guess what today is?

MY BIRTHDAY! Not really. It’s the release of Mystery Train for members! It was released at 4:21 PST, as you know from previous posts, in honor of it’s 4th birthday and 21st island.

 

Us non members get a special treat! Once again, we get a small demo of what the island is like until non members get to play it on October 7th! 😀 On the homepage, a silhouette of the train rushes past in the background, in honor of this release! Awesomeness!

Just so you know, once Edison’s invention gets stolen, the demo will end.

Another update was made to the Poptropica store adding in two more LE costumes for members for their 4th birthday!

The Robin Hood and Light Ninja will only be available until the end of this month, so get ’em while they’re hot! Also, get all the other updates they made, such as the balloon and the minigames!

Well, have fun on Mystery Train, and congrats to the people who finished it already!

I know I haven’t posted in like A YEAR but I’ve had computer problems and stuff. Plus I don’t have school holidays for 4 weeks and I am a bit backlogged. But anyway, I’m not here to make excuses. I am here to report a new post on the PCB.

Counting down the seconds to Mystery Train

If you’ve been following the Mystery Train countdown clock on the Poptropica homepage, you’ve probably noticed that it’s set to go at a rather unusual time: 21 minutes past the hour. In fact, here at Poptropica headquarters, Mystery Train will be launching at 4:21 PM on Friday. Can you guess why?

Go ahead, try to guess. Take a second away from the computer.

Okay, ready?

The time is in honor of two things. 4, because it’s our 4th birthday, and 21, because this is our 21st Island.

Now that you’ve solved that mystery, you’re ready to take a ride on the Mystery Train! Poptropica Members will be able to play all of Mystery Train this Friday. Non-Members will be able to play the first part of the adventure in advance of Mystery Train’s public launch in October.

Poptropica Store Surprises! + Heat Maps and Coutdowns!

I had some free time this week, so I thought I would post about the new things that the Creators added in the Poptropica store!  Many things have been added 😀 I’m sure most of you know about the birthday balloon:

Anyone who visits the store can get the Fourth Birthday Balloon for free! Isn’t free awesome? 🙂 Also in celebration of Poptropica’s 4th birthday this September, they added in the last two minigames to hit Poptropica: Shrink Shot (Shrink Ray) and Prepare for Impact (Red Dragon)!

You can add these games to your inventory for free and play whenever you want! 😀 You can get all the previous prizes available! They also included a special treat for all you Members out there (lucky :P): They re-released the Mech Pilot costume (Steamworks) and the Renegade robot for a limited time!

If you missed them before, or if you have just become a member some time ago, you now get another chance to get these Members-only gold cards! 🙂 If you aren’t a member, the Creators are encouraging you to sign up! Well, stay tuned for more Birthday fun coming to Poptropica!

The Creators said that this is a feature they were working on for one of the new islands. Could it be for the E.vile Legen-wait-for-it-dary island? Looks like we have to wait to find out! 🙂

They also put in a  countdown timer for Mystery Train, letting you know the exact moment when your train leaves the station (Get it? 😀 )! It releases in less than a week! Excited, members? 😛 So what’s your departure time?
