Ohhh… you must be pretty upset with me for ruining that perfect, happy in the last episode with another planted blueberry smoothie machine and ANOTHER zombie. But I didn’t like all this… peacefulness and decided to send certain people to their doom (if you’ve ever written a story, you’ll understand). But now you want to know what happens next! Of course, of course! (Or start from the beginning here.)

Episode Six: Chaos in City Hall

The City Hall of Goofball Island is frozen. Nobody is moving. Athena has her mouth open, and Birdy, Pick, and Hawk seem to turn to stone for a moment, because of that terrible, terrible shock. And then fear floods the bones of all the Poptropicans in the City Hall. Fear that is so surprising, so frightening that for a solid minute, everybody is staying still, like they are made of ice. 

Zombie

Bleh?

And the chaos erupts. Poptropicans screaming, fainting, running. The  zombie chases the scared-silly mayor around until…

Bosko

No!

…The mayor becomes indigo as well. Another zombie.

(Start from Prologue) (Continued from Chapter 2)

FADE IN.

FRIENDLY THUNDER, DIZZY CLAW, and ICY SNAKE are in the pipe. They go through the pipe and enter a dark room.

DIZZY CLAW:
Why is it so dark?

ICY SNAKE:
I don’t know! I can’t see my hand in front of my face!

FRIENDLY THUNDER goes over to three switches.

FRIENDLY THUNDER:
I’d love some light right now.

DIZZY CLAW:
I second it.

The lights turn on, and a claw starts moving.

DIZZY CLAW (sighs):
Was that supposed to be a name pun? You know, Dizzy Claw, and that’s a claw?

Crickets chirp in the background.

DIZZY CLAW:
No? Fine.

FRIENDLY THUNDER:
Come on, Dizzy Claw!

Heya! The day that you have all been waiting for— Zombies, Zombies, ALWAYS ZOMBIES. I might as well give you a brief introduction, but if you had missed the last chapter you can catch it here, or start from the beginning here. I also have some art that you can find here.

The story ended last time when Clumsy Bird, Witty Toothpick, and Jazzy Hawk got word that there were more people out there surviving, and that they would hold a meeting on Goofball Island, in the city hall. So they set their yellow blimp on course to that island… but… someone is watching their every move. And the team knows nothing about it at all. 

What happens next?

You’ll have to find out for yourself.

Episode Five: Goofing Off

It’s nearing morning. 

The yellow blimp passes several peaceful fields, gliding through the crisp morning air, over dew-spangled grass. The sun, just peeking over the horizon of hills, is bright and pure. 

And then there are the zombies.

They are a bright indigo color, and occasionally speckling the grass. But they are what turn this rather calm morning into something of a nightmare. The birds tweeting and calling are drowned out by the eerie moans and groans.

Clumsy Bird

It’s MORNING? Isn’t this WONDERFUL?!

Clumsy Bird (or Birdy) seems extra cheerful this morning, perhaps because they were on their way to meet fellow survivors. She is bouncing around the small blimp, making it shake a little.

Witty Toothpick

Stop shaking the blimp! It’s too early in the morning! *yawn*

Clumsy Bird sits down on the chair by the blimp’s steering wheel, and keeps bouncing her feet off the group.

Clumsy Bird

I can’t help it!! I’m just TOO EXCITED!

Jazzy Hawk

Stop talking! We’re t— *yawn* t—tired.

Birdy

Well, too bad! Wake up! WAKE UP!!! I CAN’T WAIT!

FADE IN.

We see FRIENDLY THUNDER, DIZZY CLAW, and ICY SNAKE sitting at the factory. DIZZY CLAW quickly sees something blue near a window. He grabs it. They’re blueprints!

DIZZY CLAW:

Hmm, I think this will be important, will it?
