Hello, everyone!

Lucky Joker here, presenting you with “Mighty Magiswords”, the all-new Cartoon Network animated show and latest Poptropica advertisement!

The series revolves around the twin team of, Vambre and Prohyas, “Warriors for Hire” who go on radical quests around the world to collect magical swords. With that said, let’s POP right into it!

Upon shuffling on Home Island, you’ll see the ad in its usual spot with the twins standing outside. Click on the characters for dialogue if interested, or just walk inside. 😛

When you walk in, go ahead and click Vambre (the girl) to start the game. All you have to do is collect all ten magical swords before the time runs out. It’s fairly simple, as you have two minutes to do so, but if you need help, go ahead and check out this video. ▼

If you successfully complete the game, you’ll win the Oinkus Magisword and the Tomato MagiswordBT’s weapon. These prizes are pretty fun to use, so get them while they’re available!

Ah yes. Here is the culprit… middle school.

(Hey Poptropicans! This is a guest post about a new ad, and it’s written by Shaky Skunk, a Poptropican who also blogs over at the Poptropica Skunk Blog. Enjoy!)

If you’ve seen the ad sidebars on Poptropica lately with the characters from Mystery Train Island, it’s, um, creative… but misleading. This new ad is really for the new movie Middle School: The Worst Years of My Life, based on the book with the same name.

unknown

Anyway, the ad can be found in on Home Island in its usual spot, as well as on other SUIs. You’ll see a boy, Rafe, standing outside. Enter the school and talk to Rafe.

You’ll find the interior covered in sticky notes, thanks to Rafe. A pink-haired Principal Dwight will blame you, a person who isn’t even a student at the school, and will begin chasing your character. Run for it!

The game is very similar to the Pete’s Dragon ad. You’ll have to run across the screen, and jump over the obstacles, such as books, a bin, a pile of balls, and a trolley filled with basketballs.

Eventually, you’ll reach Rafe, and get two cool (albeit recycled) prizes: a Whoopee Cushion, and a Paint Gun. Poor Principal Dwight, he just wanted to give some kid detention…

By the way, this ad room is also a common room!

If you want to watch the movie (Middle School: The Worst Years of My Life), it’s being released in theatres on October 7, 2016 in the US. Who wouldn’t want to watch it? Just look at the principal’s hair. It’s customisable, too. Thanks for reading, and goodbye!

The Lost Tudor in the Wildlife!

Hey everyone, Slip here!

baaaymax

It’s been a while since I posted here, but now I’m back!

Anyway, there’s a new ad for the movie The Wild Life (called Robinson Crusoe outside the US) on Home Island! You may remember Robinson Crusoe coming to the Poptropica app a while back, but now, he’s landed his way to Poptropica online! (Thanks to Friendly Foot for the tip!)

Let’s see what’s inside…

Unlike the ad on the app, this one is a common room where you can talk to the characters in the story, check out the fun stuff, and collect prizes.

When you land on the left side of the ad and click the vine, these quirky animals will swing by on your screen:

Up near the exit, there is a costumizable Robinson Crusoe costume, so make sure to get it before it goes!

If you move to the right of the cavern, you can get a free Mak Follower! Just click and you shall receive it right away!

In other news, Mitch Krpata – the author of the second Poptropica graphic novel The Lost Expedition – is inviting everyone around Plainville, Massachusetts on September 14 to attend a book talk about Poptropica’s latest graphic novel at Jeff Kinney’s bookstore, An Unlikely Story. Don’t worry, it’s free!

If you’re interested, don’t forget to register for the event here.

Lastly, the Poptropica Creators’ poll for the new Poptropica houses has ended as of Sunday midnight, Eastern time. It looks like the “Tudor” style (#4) won! (It’s the one on the bottom left.)

I hope we can see it later this year when the New Poptropica launches! Although I really liked the Beach one (#3 in the middle) as well, because it reminds me of a modern version of the house in Steven Universe. 😛

…and that concludes our post for today! For those who are wondering about Stolen Snapshots and Community Celebrities, don’t worry because *hopefully* I can do them this month. :)))

When Robinson Crusoe appears beyond Monkey Wrench Island

Hey Poptropicans, what’s popping?

Crusoe’s on Home Island! Okay, it’s not the Crusoe of Monkey Wrench Island – it’s Robinson Crusoe from the new animated movie, The Wild Life (but titled Robinson Crusoe outside the US). There’s an advertisement for it on Poptropica, but only on the mobile app (which you can get here – looks like they’ve updated the promo page for that as well!). (Thanks to Friendly Foot for the tip.)

Anyway, I personally found trying to enter the ad room a bit glitchy – you should be able to enter just by tapping the door entrance, but it took me a few tries of logging out. Sometimes an “Action” button would appear in the bottom corner that you could also tap to enter the room.

Once you enter, you can head up to the top left corner of the room to play a game where you have 30 seconds to tap on fruit before they get too close (as indicated by their size). If you experience the glitchiness of some fruit not appearing and causing you to lose like I did, try exiting the game and going back to it – that fix worked for me. The prizes for winning are a Carmello Follower (floating chameleon; pressing the Action button makes him camouflage) and Pirate Costume.

In other news, RedRiderYT recently pointed out to us that the online Poptropica Shop is no longer selling the custom Poptropican t-shirts and hoodies. Searching for “Poptropica” on the third party website that made the clothing, TV’s Toy Box, results in a “forbidden” error.

If you have one of these shirts or hoodies, that means it’s now a (real life) rare item! Treasure it, keep it, and wear it proudly. You’ll be missed, Poptropica shirt shop.

Oh and by the way, there’s a new Poptropica tool for customization around, no download required… those who are interested can check it out on the PHB’s Glitching page. 🙂

Don’t forget, this weekend is the Closing Ceremony for the PHB Tribal Tournament! It’s going to be a lot of fun, so try to make it if you can! Check out this post for all the details.

That’s all for now – thanks for popping in, Poptropicans!

Ad-venturing with Pete’s Dragon!

(Hey Poptropicans! This is a quick guest post by Lucky Joker, a blogger over at People of Poptropica, whom you may recognize from his recent MPIP on the PHB. Enjoy!)

Before we get started on the ad, I’d like to say that I actually like the walk-in ads, as I find them more eye opening and fun! They’re much better than the ones where you simply watch a video to earn prizes. With that out of my hair, let’s POP right into it!

This ad is for Disney’s remake of its own original movie, Pete’s Dragon. Upon landing on Home Island, you’ll see the ad in its usual spot and Pete standing outside.

Go ahead and walk in, and let’s see what we’re up for. When you walk in, click on Pete to start the mini-game. The task is to help Pete find Elliot, though what we really want to do is beat him in the race by staying ahead of it (don’t let him catch up!) to find Elliot first.

The game is pretty similar to the game from the Nine Lives ad. You simply have to click and drag your mouse to the right of the screen to run, and jump over the obstructing animals – bears, eagles, owls, beavers and bobcats. Check out this video for a quick guide:

At the end, we get a cool shot Elliot flying. Once you win the game, you’ll earn two awesome prizes: Elliot’s Swishing Tail and Elliot’s Flying Wings!

The film premiers in theaters starting the 12th of August in the US, in 3D, and you can even purchase tickets by clicking the posters inside the ad room! Are you going to see it? Share your thoughts in the comments! Thanks for bearing with me, I just love these types of ads. POP on, jokers!

Thanks again to Lucky Joker for writing this post! Hope you enjoyed it! 🐉
