I’d rather be sailing
(You hear the neigh of a horse in the distance. The sound of horse hooves clomping closer and closer gets your attention, and you turn to see… Captain Crawfish riding a horse!)
Hijuyo: Woah there, Crawfish! What brought you here? Fate? Destiny?
CC: A horse.
Hijuyo: Oh, right.
CC: Someone get me off this crazy thing! Turns out a horse is harder to control than a pirate ship! At least it doesn’t smell as bad as my scurvy crew, but dang, I would much rather be sailing…
Hijuyo: Well sir, I do hope you’re ready to be nommed.
CC: Whaaa…?
Hijuyo: *clobbers CC with a pan* Wow! Frying pans, who knew, right?
CC: *falls to the ground. opens one eye* Gah, and all I wanted to say was that I hoped to see some Poptropica members on Wild West Island this weekend…
Hijuyo: *clobbers CC again and stuffs him into a refrigerator* I’ve got a person in my fridge! 😀
*The PHB mob runs over each other and make a beeline for the fridge*
Hijuyo: Eat up, and don’t forget, the horse meat doesn’t taste too bad either!

After much work, the Poptropica Help Network is pleased to announce that all our island resources are updated for the new release of WILD WEST ISLAND!

Yeehaw! Riding west to the wild!
At least, that’s what the paid members of Poptropica are probably yelling gleefully as they start logging in to play the newest island that just came out. Yup, that’s right, Wild West Island just came out.
Just for members, of course. -_- That leaves the rest of us sitting here sadly waiting for that glorious day when we nonmembers can too join them on the wild adventure to bring Grande’s gang to justice. That would be March 14, 2011 for non-members, according to the in-game Map. (thanks, Neat Turtle!) That’s also Pi Day, for you math nerds. 😉
Hopefully, we’ll have our video and written walkthrough guides up on our Wild West Island help page soon. Any help is appreciated, just comment on this post! 🙂

Wild West Wonder
For those of you who have been playing Wild West Island’s sneak peek game of Round ‘Em Up every other day to get all the prizes, Captain Crawfish of the PCB wants to remind everyone that there’s just one prize left, and that’s the Wunder Bubble Tonic.
Unfortunately, he consumed too much of the drink and has passed out in that corner over there. *points* We have the plates, knives, and forks on the other side, so feel free to take a little snack break if you’ve been lassoing too many cows and want a rest.
Thanks to Luke from the PHC for modeling some of the cowboy prizes, including the all-new Wunder Bubble Tonic, which makes your character flash random colors and blow bubbles of different colors. It’s pretty epic, so if you can, I’d recommend trying your best to win this prize!
New prizes were available every other day for a total of 7 prizes. Those prizes have expired though, but congratulations to those who won them while they were available. Past prizes include, in order starting from the first one:
- Sheriff Hat
- Sombrero
- Hat and Bandanna
- The Loaner
- The Hombre
- The Kid
- Wunder Bubble Tonic
The PCB has a poll asking, “How many Wild West prizes have you won?” 47% said 2 or more, 10% said just 1, and 42% said none.
