Wild West Island

Yeehaw! Riding west to the wild!

At least, that’s what the paid members of Poptropica are probably yelling gleefully as they start logging in to play the newest island that just came out. Yup, that’s right, Wild West Island just came out.

Just for members, of course. -_- That leaves the rest of us sitting here sadly waiting for that glorious day when we nonmembers can too join them on the wild adventure to bring Grande’s gang to justice. That would be March 14, 2011 for non-members, according to the in-game Map. (thanks, Neat Turtle!) That’s also Pi Day, for you math nerds. šŸ˜‰

Hopefully, we’ll have our video and written walkthrough guides up on our Wild West Island help page soon. Any help is appreciated, just comment on this post! šŸ™‚

  1. (Warning: There may be spoilers)
I love this island, but parts are hard. I couldn’t find all 5 cows my first few times, and the shooting games (not the contest; I mean the things like the train ride and the last bit) are really tricky.

  2. Very good use of the mini-games, as well as the power-ups. Word of advice, don’t try to jump to the canary, just click on it.

  3. I hate the train part because its too long and hard. Isn’t poptropica also for little kids who can barely hold a mouse in their hands?

Hijuyo: Many children are capable of controlling a mouse. Don’t look down on people just because they are younger. Of course, the challenging parts of the island quest depend on skill, too.

  4. I am waiting, Creators! It had better come SOOOONNN!!! I LOVE Wild West movies so I’ll LOVE the island unless it is really, really, wimpy. Like, REEEEAAAALLLYYY wimpy because it takes a lot to disappoint me. šŸ™‚

  5. Guess who I found under the transformers ad in Wild West Island.

its the guy that the creators use to portray poptropicans. I couldn’t customize him but you can find him by zooming in the screen and he is under the ad.

  6. Wild west is looking good!! I can’t wait for March 14th!!!!! :]
    THIS IS SOOOOOOOOOO EXCITING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Also, here is a story about pie, uh, i mean, Pi day:
I’d never even heard of it until last year, when my maths teacher told us it was Pi day. Anyway, after a stupid remark from a classmate who commented that “doesnt pie come from cows?” and the teacher simulated a cow pooing out a pie and saying “pppzzzff! here’s a pie!”, he got us to watch a video on youtube on our smartboard featuring an annoying song deditcated to pie. Then he got us to memorise as many numbers in Pi as we could, then we all tried to remember and recite in the right order as many as we could. The winner, who was able to remember seven digits, won an apple pie. Then then teacher went on this website and we told him our birthdates to find out who was the oldest and youngest in Pi (meaning, whoever’s birthdate, eg 1/2/1999, was closest and furthest to the start of Pi). As it turns out, in my class, I am the youngest in Pi.
It was a very interesting lesson indeed. šŸ™‚

  7. You know it opens today right? and i also hate membership and the train game. Isn’t poptropica for 8year olds too? I mean, i’m a lot older than 8 and that train game makes me want to hurl my computer across the room!

What's popping, Poptropicans?
