Last round I had a TON of people comment their Poptropicans (which was awesome, by the way!). I only drew a handful of them for round 2, so if you don’t see your Poptropican this round, don’t worry yours will get drawn at some point! 😄

I hope that everyone is happy with their doodle! All of your Poptropicans were SO fun to draw! I think I said that last round too, BUT I really do mean it, all of them are so fun and unique. 💖

How to get your Poptropican drawn next? Here’s what you need to do:

💬 COMMENT BELOW (on the most recent DYPAE post) a reference screenshot for your Poptropican (using a public image sharing site like Imgur), their name, AND which facial expression you would like them to have from the chart near the top of the post (for example, C1).

🙅‍♂️ When asking for an expression, please don’t ask for one that has already been claimed (either by someone in the comments before you, or one that has been crossed out or circled in the chart). First come, first served!
❗️ Please only comment ONE Poptropica character per person, and then we’ll see how that goes and I’ll let y’all know in a later post if you can submit more. 😝

(I also had a few people reach out to me on discord because they couldn’t figure out how to comment an image of their Poptropican. It’s already mentioned above but A good way you can comment an image is Imgur which doesn’t require you to sign up! But if you are still struggling, and really have no other option, you can send it to me on discord just as long as you also comment the emoticon you claimed, so other’s don’t ask for the same emoticon. 😁)

⏳ After you comment, WAIT PATIENTLY. Everyone who comments and wants to have their Poptropican drawn will get added to a list, so no one gets missed. Each round I’ll only post a handful of them, so hang tight, yours will get drawn at some point. 😃

Drawing Your Poptropicans As Emoticons: Round 1 ✏️✨

Ever wanted your Poptropican drawn? Well, today is your lucky day!

WELCOME EVERYONE, to Round 1 of this new series: “Drawing Your Poptropicans As Emoticons” which will be hosted by me, Magic Kid!✨

I’m super excited to be getting started with this series, where I will draw your Poptropicans with an emoticon face of your choice (from the chart below), then share them here on the PHB. 😄 Once an emoticon has been claimed, it can’t be claimed again, so it’s first come, first served!

(The crossed out ones I have already drawn, and the circled ones have already been reserved by other people. 😃)

For the first round, I asked my fellow PHB team members if they’d like to get their Poptropican drawn, and they delivered! So without further ado, here is ROUND ONE!

Piñata Man: A Poptropica Fan Comic 💥🪅

Piñata Man is a quirky, wanna-be superhero whose dream is to prove himself to the Mighty Action Force! This comic follows a silly adventure of his, in which he attempts to save The Wizard’s soda which is stuck in the evil vending machine! Will he be able to do it or… will he fail terribly?

BONUS! Here’s my comic making process:

First, I get the script for the page I’m working on (the amount of times I lost it while working on this was actually insane). Using that as a guide, I make a messy doodle of what I want the panel to look like.

Second, I ink the panels. Not much to that.

Then (third), I roughly sketch out the characters. For some reason I decided to use pink for all my sketches and stuck with it the whole comic 😛

Fourth, I ink the comic and detail the characters!

Unlike the other pages, I gave this one a black background to make it ✨EXTRA DRAMATIC✨

Fifth, I color the characters and the backgrounds! The colors I used for the characters were not the actual colors of them in-game — I used simpler, brighter colors to make it easy on me to draw. 😀

Finally, I add shadows and highlights to help bring these silly guys to life!

For the rest of the pages I added speech bubbles for the very last step. But for this page there is no dialogue, so I just added a white outline on the evil soda machine.

And that’s my process! Now repeat all of that 11 times over the course of two and a half months, and you get this comic! 🥳

Hiya Poptropicans, it’s Magic Kid!

Guess what? Recently I received an email from Lucky Joker asking if I’d like to become an official writer for the Poptropica Help Blog!

Guys, I’m going to be honest with y’all: I legit thought that the Halloween candy was making me hallucinate. 🤣

After re-reading the email multiple times, exploding with unbridled joy, zooming to my bedroom, and screaming like a fangirl into my pillow (like the totally nonchalant person I am 😉), I wrote back to LJ. And now, here we are! 🙂

I’ve been playing Poptropica for about 7-ish years. You can read my MPIP story to hear how I discovered Poptropica and then also when I realized a few years later that the fandom exists. My journey has definitely extended from that post but it might be fun to read ✨The Origin of Magic Kid in The Poptropica World✨ anyway.

My favorite island is Monster Carnival (how dare you suggest otherwise? 😝) but I also really like PoptropiCon, Survival, and Zomberry Island. Honestly though, I love pretty much all the islands I’ve played. My favorite character is most definitely Edgar because how could you NOT adore that little fried dough loving, friendly carnie–in–training? My favorite villain by far is (you guessed it!) Ringmaster Raven.

So some more things about me are: I really enjoy drawing and writing (check out my Poptropica fanfictions: Zombies, Zombies, ALWAYS ZOMBIES! and Murder at Myron’s). I also like animated movies, bright colors, anything with high amounts of sugar, music, theater, and daydreaming in the woods.
