Redeem the code!

Hi, it’s Elmopwns here. I’m here with a new post on how to redeem your code from any Poptropica toy! If you don’t know about the Poptropica toys yet, see Hicoga’s last post (complete with a nifty looking picture. nice job :D). Anyways, every toy comes with a special hand held item to use in your online game. So your getting a virtual item as well.

They can only be obtained by buying the actual toy and redeeming the code that came with it. The creators have done a new post detailing instructions on how to redeem your virtual gift!

How to redeem the code from your Poptropica toys

We’re hearing that Poptropica toysare starting to show up on the shelves of Toys “R” Us stores all over the place! Hopefully you’ve had a chance to check them out in person. But you may be wondering how to use the code that comes with each toy, which gives your Poptropican cool new powers and costumes.First, make sure you’re logged into your saved game. If you don’t yet have a saved game, create a new character, press the round “save” button, and create a username and password. Make sure to keep the username and password safe!

Next, you can enter your code in one of two places. When you log into Poptropica with an existing account, you can enter your code in the lower righthand part of the screen.

Or you can visit the Poptropica Store by pressing the star icon in the top right of your screen. The place to enter your code is located in the upper right.

The code works the same way in either place. Once you’ve redeemed it, go to your in-game inventory and select “store items” from the dropdown menu to use your new goodies.

Last, and most important: Enjoy!

So it’s pretty self-explanatory. You enter the code by clicking the star and typing in the promo code, and then you get a new gift or power! Thanks for the instructions, creators! The virtual items have a long range of things:
  • Sir Cador
  • Dr. Hare costume (Does that mean they fixed that cheat to become Dr. Hare?I better go check…hopefully not!)
  • Shark Boy costume
  • Stealth Agent
  • Spy Agent
  • Crystal Crusader
  • The Green Hawk (Note: you can get this via playing super power island, but the green wires that comes with the costume cannot be obtained)
  • Captain Colbat and Crimson (come with flying parrots…ftw!)
  • Booga Shaman (I’m pretty sure you can costumize him on Shark Tooth Island)
  • Shark Surfer
  • Dr. Hare hand held toy
  • Hare spell! It brainwashes anyone you control! Too bad it actually doesn’t brain was them…jk 😀
  • Cool kid hand held toy
  • Cool kid power, cameras flash for you since you’re “cool”
  • Shark Boy hand held toy
  • Jump the shark power, throw a fish and try to get it over the shark!

That was the list of all the powers, costumes, and hand held items you can redeem by buying a toy! Note: If you want costumes, the 6-inch plastic toys are for you! If you want powerss or hand held toys, the plushes come with those!

Daily Pop

This is one of those posts you might think “What in the world is going on?”. Truth is, it’s only a minor glitch in the game of Poptropica :). A minor glitch has occured in the Daily Pop. Yes, the comics are no longer being updated *for now*. When was the last time someone saw a new Peanuts strip in the Daily Pop? Like three months ago! At first I thought the creators just forgot about the comics, turns out that a glitch is keeping new ones from coming in!

Some of you have noticed a glitch in the comics section of the Daily Pop. They’re not updating! Our team of trained monkeys is working overtime to fix the issue. We will let you know just as soon as it’s resolved.

Don’t panic, people! I’m sure everyone will live for the rest of the day without comics on the Daily Pop! A team of “trained monkeys…” are being put to work on the issue. Are you calling yourselves monkeys, creators? 0_0. Umm, how smart are these “monkeys”? Hopefully they’re smart enough to actually use the computer and not completely wipe out poptropica’s servers and files in the proccess…hopefully. The creators blog will be updated, and the Poptropica community informed when the issue is over. Seems as if Director D hasn’t been posting in awhile. His last post was when, 2 months ago?

CC: Does that mean I’m safe?! Finally! I won’t be forced by those monsters to do all these posts! I’m free!
Elmopwns: Nah, it just means you’ll live for about one more day…before we invite the entire phb community to a feast in the next time you post (idea taken from conversation in the previous comments!).

In other short blogging news: My music theory exams are on Saturday (Pacific Time/LAX) time. They’re really hard music analysis questions with technical terms, over 100 words to memorize, different and complex notes and rhythms to answer questions about, and hardness overall :(. Wish me luck, everyone.

I will not be online for the next two days to post because of this and study. I’m also sharing just a bit of my parent’s companies. My dad’s www.bundled.com has officially launched into beta stage. The company helps people (18+) manage money and stuff. Read the webpage to learn more/manage money. Just a quick note, thanks for your help! It’s appreciated, guys. It’s that time again, folks! That’s right! I’m pretty sure a LOT of you know what I’m talking about…barbecues, free time, fun, fun, and more fun…No, I am not talking about nomming Captain Crawfish! But pretty close to it in terms of funness! 🙂

CC: Something about nomming me?! I thought I was safe here! *hides back into ship.*

Elmopwns: I’ll get you eventually, you crawfish! *prepares hot water*. So far your record for being alive is…two posts.

CC: *pops out of ship* It was longer than that! Way longer!

Well, looks like our little “guest for supper” got away…for now ;). He either drowns in the ocean, gets caught by one of the authors, or he meets a race of cannibals that either make him their slave or noms him alive…ouch. In the meantime, there’s a new update on the creators blog! I mentioned the feature of this update (costume) some days ago, but of course, it wasn’t too official. Take a look at this new post, guys. Bounce into summer!

The stylish Beach Ball costume is the perfect way to beat the heat this summer. Sure, it may not cut the most flattering silhouette, but when the temperature starts rising it’s all about function over form.
Speaking of this volleyball costume, summer is right around the corner! Some of you might be going back to relatives houses like me (back to China in three weeks where I plot world domination on a global scale…mehheheheheh), playing video games, hanging out with friends, watching TV, playing sports, going to camps, sleeping in until one, or waking up at one in the morning. So this new costume certainly will let you “bounce into summer”. Get the pun? Get it? Volleyball, bounce, Summer? Heheheh :).
The volleyball costume is pretty much a ball that goes around your body with colors in stripes of white, green, blue, and yellow. Head down to the Poptropica Store to recieve your own copy of this Summer costume. Well, just a heads up, players. This costume might seem fat based on the way you view it ;). But if you think this costume is for you, go straight down to the store and purchase it! Giant volleyball FTW!!!

Balloon boy on Shrink Ray Island?

The title may say it all, but that’s not true. Hi, everyone, it’s Elmopwns here to cover some a new post I missed. This one dates back a few days ago to a sneak peek of a boy holding a Shrink Ray Island balloon.

Balloon Boy returns?

 

Not exactly. But don’t be surprised if you see more and more Poptropicans toting around this balloon in the days to come.

 
 
Remember balloon boy? Veteran players might remember on Counterfiet Island when Poptropica’s parody of the balloon boy took to the air…no, not in a giant one…in a helium balloon smaller than someone’s head. As far as we know, the poor kid is still up there. Imagine flying thousands of feet above the ground…holding onto a baloon.
Impressive isn’t it? I’m pretty sure the FAA is gonna be in some kind of trouble. A first look at this image from the creators blog might have gamers confused. Is that balloon boy? Nice try, but unfortunately no :(. This post is actually just showing a poptropican holding a baloon to advertise the upcoming Shrink Ray Island with the Shrink Ray gun on it, the logo of the island.So sorry balloon boy fans…he hasn’t landed yet :/. Hopefully the creators set him down on some island. These balloons are currently being spread around Poptropica! They do not come from the store, so my guess is a creator spread it! Customize to get your own Shrink Ray balloon!
 
 
Quick note:
There’s a new costume in the Poptropica Store! To kick off the start of summer coming VERY soon for most of us, the creators of Poptropica have released a beach volleyball costume! Can’t wait for Summer vacation when the fun begins. :). what about you guys? Share your thoughts in the comments below!

Hi, everyone, Elmopwns here. I’m here to update everyone on the latest post! If you haven’t heard of the latest news, please read about the upcoming Shrink Ray Island here on its info page.

Yep, about getting zapped into miniature sizes, there’s usually an evil villain, too… there always is. But enough about the upcoming island. I think most of you on this blog have heard about the new island. Well to get us all frizzled and hyped up about it, the Creators are releasing a new game based off of it!

The object of the game is to bounce your miniaturized Poptropican around a room, causing as much mayhem as you can to rack up big points. Achieving high scores will earn you bonus powers that will help you score even more points! Can you unlock all of the upgrades and win the grand prize?

Poptropicans, member and free to play alike, can now travel the map via the blimp to play this awesome game ^^. Once arriving at the sneak peak, the main menu of the game will give you some instructions. The main objective is to literally cause as MUCH mayhem and destruction as you can by being fired while you are in miniature size!…yes….FINALLY…destruction…except on a smaller scale.

There are a number of things you can hit, this is the good part. You can get more points by hitting the point balls. But there are also many other things to hit and recieve points! You can also hit a miniature version of the blimp, a car for a ride inside, and arrow shaped balls that change your direction. These are especially helpful if you’re looking for a new area to score points in.

But that’s not all of it. I’ve taken the time to make a list of things you can hit below. And please not, most of the things you bump into will let you receive prizes:

  • Car to reach new areas
  • Crayons for a new item
  • Balloon to get a shrink ray prize!
  • Blimp for extra points
  • Soda bottle for special prize
  • Bubble gum for a new flavor to chew!
  • Point balls for points
  • Arrows to change direction.

So it appears that you can really get a lot from this game…but…of course, it takes much work if you want all of these prizes…maybe even more than an hour or so! Many of the prizes are moving or located in tricky spots. It is also worth to be mentioned that the snow globe prize is strictly a members only… awww, you take all the fun out creators :(.

The game is also designed in a system of ranks. You get a new costume for each new rank that are all unique. For getting a certain amount of points, the costume will be awarded. The costumes are mainly hats…they are:

  • hard helmet
  • bounce ball
  • propeller hat (members only)
  • spiked hard helmet (members only)
  • spiked bounce ball (members only)

As the ranks progess, they get harder and harder to achieve because of the amount of points. If you want prizes, you should stick to hitting to the objects like soda bottles or snow globes. If you want the costumes for hats, then things like the blimp and point balls for definitely for you.

And finally, have fun, everyone… may the force be with you… 😀
