News flash! RawrDude reports that Poptropicans everywhere are falling under the power of the mysterious Phantom and are vanishing into thin air! One moment you see them, and the next thing you know they’re gone. For some people, it’s not as strong; but for others, they look as if they’ve seen a ghost! There are different levels of transparency for different people, but who knows what kind of Phantom could be trying to take over Poptropica??

So, if you wish to maybe disappear for a while, the price is only 250 credits ($2.50 US) at the Poptropica Store. It’s in the Cool Stuff section, and it’s awesome; you can even choose how visible/invisible you want to be —

Wait, what are you saying? Too expensive? Well, don’t leave yet, there’s more. For just 75 credits ($o.75 US), female characters are able to purchase the grand, purple Gothic Cheerleader costume! Remember the Cheerleader costume a few days ago? ♪CheerfulPanda♫ has kindly provided us with a list of similarities and differences between the two, so you can decide which one you’d like to buy!

The Gothic Cheerleader’s action is that she has that angry emoticon (not the one where your head turns red & flys in midair!) I also compared and contrasted the 2 cheerleader outfits:

Original has the following:
blush on her face
pink lips (smiling)
the letter P (for Poptropica) for the outfit design
yellow pom-pom
comes in 3 colors=red, blue and purple

Same=
hairstyle: pigtails
outfit appearance (excluding design)
pom-pom

Difference=
Gothic has the following:
skull earrings
front hairpiece
“bags” in her eyes
purple lips (obviously NOT smiling)
skull design on outfit
purple pom-pom
comes in 1 color

Thanks also goes to Director Lion (Gentle Lion) for informing us about this costume being added and that there is currently a Froot Loops sidebar ad for younger players (aged 6, 7, or 8). It is advertising FrootLoops.com, where you can ”help Toucan Sam save breakfast from the FrootOctopus”!

Also, check out VladtheViking’s updated Poptropica Tour video! It has now been uploaded to YouTube, but not updated at the Poptropica.com homepage yet… 😛 The title is ”Poptropica Tour: Summer 2009”, and includes Astro-Knights, but not Reality TV Island. Orange Tummy noted that it’s still not very updated, because the old Games Icon is still on the top-right corner for all the island previews, except Astro-Knights, which has the old Poptropica Store symbol.

Wow, take a look at these sea animals! According to Lazy Feather, this was once posted on Nate Greenwall’s blog (a Poptropica Creator whose other identity is Shark Boy) but was taken off one day. Well, that makes sense: Sharks can be found in this aquarium. There are also two crabs that look like the one from Time Tangled Island, as well as some littler fishies, two seahorses, a snail, and a submarine.

One of the pictures on one of Nate’s blogs shows him in his office, using the computer. This mysterious aquarium, which is currently not released on Poptropica.com (if it was even meant for Poptropica, which it looks like it was), is on his screen. (For more information, click here.)

Notice how it’s got three floors, like a Main Street multiplayer room usually has. This may have been Shark Tooth’s multiplayer room until they decided to use a Coconut Cafe instead (maybe; but we’re not sure), or as MoNKeYTaCoZ suggests, possibly the one for Reality TV Island? Bony Melon reckons it could be one of the upcoming Party Rooms, such as the one shown with pink crystals. Anyway, click on the picture to view the full picture!

  3. They didn’t update the footage on the new tour clip, They all have the Games symbol except the AK piece which has the old Stat/Store/stuff, not the new. I think that the aquarium was supposed to be from Shark tooth, but they changed it.

  5. wow long news flash. lol That vid is def Not new, it just got a few edits (ak part). The fish tank looks cool, and i agree with bony melon, the place with the pink rocks looks slightly similar to this aquarium.

  6. I wonder y they didnt add Reality TV if it was going to be released in summer.

    I noticed in the video they also updated the map, which shows Astro and Reality TV. And they used the clips from the trailer of Astro Knights except the last clip, which shows him battling the Dragotank.

    ST: Yeah, that puzzles me too. After all, they did add Nabooti and Big Nate into the first Poptropica Tour video, even though they hadn’t been released at the time. Maybe they were in a hurry.

  8. The first thing I thought of when I saw the Phantom card was Danny Phantom. Lol
    I think that the aquarium is probably a party room since most of them are about three floors… Hah… >.<

  12. ha danny phantom! I seen a picture of a poptropica mermaid an this lady’s blog I forgot her name.i think the picture of the mermaid is related to the aquarium picture.to tink we could go under water!

      ST: Like I said on the forum, the hacker is not the real Poptropica Creator. The person you saw in the multiplayer room is the Creator Binary Bard, not your hacker. 😉

    3. no. It must be the Binary bard who hacked the PTB! You have not witnessed it right?

      ST: Hackers can lie. I don’t think that hacker was a Poptropica Creator, and the Creator’s account’s name is clearly ”Binary Bard” (impossible for regular players). Sorry, but the hacker was only claiming to be the owner of the Poptropica Creator’s account, which is false.

  15. WHOA! You guys, if you look on second 1:43, on Spy Island, it shows the B.A.D. agent with a different sort of face mask! Not the usual bandana! And, I looked and they haven’t changed that. Weird.

  16. Not only has the game icon not been changed, but the footage 4 big nate island is old! it still shows just nate walking around and a random charicter at the playground. They really need 2 change that.

  17. Ha! I miss Danny Phantom/Fenton. That show was awesome.

    On a more related note, that Phantom item is seriously creepy. One time, I noticed that there were only 5 people in my multiplayer room (including myself), but then I started to vaguely see right behind me what appeared to be a strange figure. I looked closely and saw it was actually a scary, phantom robot with a sword in its hand. o_O

    Also, I just need to notify you guys that I will be on vacation for a mere 1-2 weeks. I won’t be able to access the Internet most of the time during my trip, so I won’t be able to make posts. =/ Hopefully, I will be able to catch up with Poptropica news when I get back. 😀 Also, don’t forget to check out the July version of The Poptropican’s 911 that is coming soon!

  18. im confused. the video was titled poptropica tour SUMMER 2009. and on the vid the second thing it showed was the map. reality tv island in the bottom right hand corner said coming SUMMER 2009. why didnt they show a sneak peek of reality tv?????????????????

    ST: I think they just haven’t gotten around to making it yet, so it wasn’t included in the tour video. 😦
