Ten Things You DIDN’T Know About Poptropica!
Hi Gs,
I’ve been poking around a bit, connecting some dots, and here’s what I’ve come up with:
1. Gamer Guy’s real name is Abe.
Don’t believe me? Check inside the bakery on Ghost Story island. It’s a nice trivia, I thought.
2. Joe Puddy has visited Super Power Island.
This one is only logical. Zomberry Island has a lot of subways, right? In the subway on Super Power Island, under the stairs you will find “Joe was here” written on the walls.
3. You have never been here, but have tried to get here before, maybe when you were younger:
I’m not going to tell you where I am, but when you figure it out, you’re going to flip. Guess in the comments!
4. Betty Jetty is Ned Noodlehead’s sister.
This may be known by some, but not to others. It came from the Poptropica Nintendo game, which I will be posting a review about soon.
5. Dr. Hare was created by Shark Boy as an arch enemy to a carrot super hero.
Pretty kewl stuff.
6. Balloon Boy is actually based off of a real incident.
It’s true! Craziness is the world we live in. xD
7. There is a site for the Mews Foundation (from Cryptids Island).
This may not be a surprise to everyone, but there is a site made by Poptropica, pretty silly stuff.
8. Poptropica Toys are not listed on the Poptropica Shop!
I’m serious! None on the main homepage, even when you click View All. Start buying these babies off of Ebay, peoples, before they disappear forever! They can, however, be found on the Poptropica Toys page.
9. Islands used to have a rating next to it on the map; it would say “hard”, “medium”, or “easy”.
It was a nice feature; I actually thought it was helpful… nothing else to say about it. 😛
10. Islands can be selected via the Tab and Enter key.
One instance of keyboard input that effects the game. I wonder what else can be done with the keys… ❓

Poptropican Portraits Round 1
Hi Gs,
Have you heard? Samwow5 was on the ball when he updated you guys on the new and improved Time Tangled Island! I literally flipped out when I saw that update email in my inbox… I’m sorry, but NZMSFNCJFVWHINJA GERCBFOAYWBFQIJA3RNFJIOQFI!!!!!!!!!
Time Tangled Island is the third to be released, and if you have been playing Poptropica for a while, you know the feeling I felt. I was about 5 when I first played Time Tangled, and even though the new player is awful, the soundtrack is totally worth it! Every different time period has a different soundtrack, something I think they should have done with a recent island, except with events instead of periods.
I might be doing a review on this updated island soon, so stay tuned, but until then, everyone in the whole universe has been waiting for them, the requested Poptropican Portraits!
I don’t know how I’m going to be doing these now; I talked to Fishy about it, and I think the best idea is to make a post that acts like a page for the portraits. I’ll make one soon, so bookmark it to your toolbar when I do! Without further ado, here they are (you can click to enlarge them!):
I’ll have everyone else’s soon, but I did all of these yesterday, so maybe next week? Perhaps a once a week thing, where you request them on the post that I release the last ones on, and then I post them the next week – tell me what you think!
Now, my reply to Gamer Guy — first, I wanna say that I know his real name. I mean the character name, not the actual creator’s name. It may be Bob, it may be Abe, it may be Jonathon Mcloud, I’ll be revealing it in my next post, 10 Things you DIDN’T know about Poptropica!
I really think this is a great idea; to make Gamer Guy a creator. His txt talk is funny, he has a cool costume… but who is he? We may never know, but perhaps we should look toward the newer islands, and their genre to figure out who he is… hmmm…

Time Tangled isn’t Tangled anymore, and a new creator!
Hey everyone! It has been confirmed, Time Tangled Island has now been updated with the new navigation/soundtrack upgrade! Here’s the weird thing: the news was posted by an intern for the Poptropica Creators. His name is Gamer Guy!
You may have seen him in previous Daily Pop sneak peeks, and he is also on Zomberry Island (where we had the opportunity to play a video game in his apartment). Anyway, it sounds like Captain Crawfish is a bit wary of him too… (Hey Crawface, why don’t you hire the PHB crew?) Gamer Guy thinks the island isn’t his “type” – there’s not enough music, aliens, or fighting robots for him. Yeah, sounds like one of those 24/7/365 gaming addicts…
Anyway, that’s it Icicles, and I’m TI!

Our first look at some possible Mocktropica Island locations!
Hey everyone! I didn’t disappear, I have just been REALLY swamped with school work this semester, but I’m finally having time to both play and blog! Don’t worry, I’m going to be very active from now on that I managed to get through this first semester of high school. Back to the news!
With Mocktropica Island getting nearer and nearer, we may be getting our first look at what the inner workings of the Island will look like via the Daily Pop. Click the thumbnails to enlarge the pictures:
It looks like some of these resemble already established islands such as Twisted Thicket or Astro-Knights! Do you think that we will have to go into old islands and fix them? Some others look like we could either be creating new locations or maybe finishing locations. Either way, I think that these new locations shown in these previews will be pretty exciting!!
What do you think of these possible locations? How do you think that these locations will play into Mocktropica?
