You would not BELIEVE the success of the live stream last night!  This is the first time I’ve ever done anything like that, and it was pretty incredible.

It was a solid two hours long, and I only got through one poptropican… sorry Blake.  I couldn’t find a full picture of the guy — but, I have a feeling that we will be doing this again!  In fact, I think that this could be a new monthly activity.  I have a few ideas of what I could do with Poptropican Portraits; please vote in the poll below! 😀

I drew the infamous Poptropica Gossip in this live stream!  You can watch below. 🙂

Where’s my Poptropican Portraits?

Hi Gs,

You may have noticed that I did not post the round 4 of Poptropican Portraits last Saturday.  I’m really sorry.  One reason is that I’ve been busy, the other that I procrastinate.  A lot.

I have some of the Poptropican Portraits completed completely, but they all will be posted this Saturday.  I’ve decided to go on leave for a while on these portraits, but expect me to be back doing these in a couple of weeks.  So, don’t bother leaving requests on this post.

I was overwhelmed by the immensity of requests I received last week, and even while I was quite pleased, I was biting off more than I can chew.

I don’t want ANYONE to think that I’m putting them at the end of the waiting list because I’m releasing these today.  These requests today were not done in order, so keep that in mind.  I hope you guys can understand.  I’m terribly sorry.

I also wanna give a warning to everyone, that I might miss a few posting days here and there in the next few months.  I’m getting on a new, stricter schedule than I was doing before, and I’m not going to have as much time on my hands that I had before.  I’m sure you will be able to live without me… 😉

I wanna make it up to you guys, so as a treat, I will be hosting a Hangouts on Air, where you will be able to watch me draw a couple of Poptropican Portraits live!  I hope you can make it! 😀

Mega Fighting Squirrels ?

What’s up guys? While cruising through Night Watch Island, I found a new advertisement building for the upcoming movie The Nut Job. You can also find the building on some other islands including Back Lot, Virus Hunter, and Mocktropica.

Once you enter the building talk to the grey squirrel, Surly, standing beside the door. He will tell you that he has a new sure fire plan to get the nuts. Your instructions are to use a nut catapult to shoot the nuts over to Surly the squirrel. This can get really tricky, but do your best to launch the nuts while the catapult is just perfectly in the green area of the base.

Once you launch ten nuts into the bag you win! You receive two prizes, the Surly Power and the Pistachio Costume!

The Surly Power shows a little cut screen of Surly dropping down to steal a nut on ropes and pulleys Mission: Impossible style! The Pistachio Costume is just what it looks like, a big Pistachio that you can walk around in all day PSY style.

Lastly, there is a new piece of news on the PCB. They realize that we may have seen through their little Mega Fighting Bot ruse pretty quickly, but that doesn’t mean that they love those little bots any less! You can now find some Mega Fighting Bots extras on the Mocktropica Info page, their very own wallpaper and poster! You can find the wallpaper here and the printable poster here.

They also promised that the Mega Fighting Bots themed Members Only Bonus Quest is coming soon, so stay on the look out for a new bonus quest featuring some fighting robots!

The mystery of Monster Carnival Island continues to thicken with some new posts that have made their way onto the Daily Pop! Are these monsters our newest sneak peak for Monster Carnival, or is there another new island brewing bellow the surface? Check out these Daily Pop posts and make the decision!

The first picture shows us a tree with some evil looking owls in it, so what? The important part are the streamers and flags that are seen, is this a festive scene? Festive like a carnival? The rest just show various monsters.  The first two show a metal faced bird, a taxidermy  Jackalope, and multi-eyed dinosaur dog. The last picture shows an evil looking toxic waste monster.

It should be noted that the last two pictures are similar in that the monsters are labeled with numbers. Are these exhibits to go and see on Monster Carnival Island?

So what do you think? Are these our first official look at the Monsters of Monster Carnival Island or something totally new, only time will tell!

Exploring the Cosmoes (or maybe not)

What’s popping, Poptropicans? Blake here, with another piece of fresh-popped Poptropica news. (Seriously, I can’t stop with the puns! HELP!)

So anyway, I was doing my usual round of the island’s common rooms, and found out that (SURPRISE!) I was America’s next top model! Not really. Anyway, I found out that Cosmoe, the main character in the new Funbrain graphic novel series Galactic Hot Dogs (some of you may read it, I personally don’t, for fear of another Spider-Man 3) is in some of the common rooms (such as Vampire’s Curse). As you can see, he’s got a flawless 5-star battle ranking, plus you can add him as a friend! He shows up on your friends list with a green star instead of a yellow one (to prove he’s ~special~), and all of his images are stills from GHD telling you about Cosmoe.

You can also customize him (but not his Goober Sword), and that’s pretty much it! First time Poptropica has placed a character in a common room as an ad. (EDIT: His username is npc:cosmoe, so you can add him to your friends that way too! Thanks to raqk for the tip!)

Blake’s rant about the quality of his script went on for another two hours before he was shot down by 5 tranquilizer darts. Thank goodness for that, because that’s enough tranquilizer to take down an elephant. But what do I know? I’m just a narrator! Tune in next time for Blake’s newest piece of Poptropica news.
