I’m bear-y excited about these details that I’ll be reveal– what, we’re not doing that anymore? Oh. Ok. Well, we’re nearing the end of the Poppies, our very own Poptropica awards event, and you guys have spoken! (Haven’t voted yet? Now’s your chance!) We’re going to celebrate the winners with a couple of fun parties, the details of which are below:

The climax of the event will happen on the Saturday of this week – the 25th of July at 8:00 pm EST (that’s 7pm CST / 6pm MST / 5pm PST) – starting with a livestream hosted by yours truly, where I’ll be announcing the winners of the awards. At the same time, you can mill about on the PHC chatting and joining Multiverse rooms with other awards show attendees! For this, we encourage you to formally dress up in your Poptropican best: ties, tuxes, dresses, and all!

We’ll also be having an after-party on the PHC on Sunday, July 26th at 10:00 am EST, so people have a better chance at making it to at least one of the two party times. Plus, Sunday is the date of the PHB’s 7th anniversary, so come in your 7th birthday balloons and join our Multiverse rooms!

To join the chat hangout, just visit xat.com/thePHC or click on the “Chat” tab in the navigation bar on the PHB. The Poptropica Help Chat, or PHC, is the official PHB chatroom, but besides hosting parties, you’re welcome year-round to come chat anytime with other Poptropicans online there (sometimes even PHB authors!).

First off, there’s a new advertisement around Poptropica’s Main Streets featuring the newest Cartoon Network series, We Bare Bears! You just need to watch a video and you’ll get a Bear Stack hat! There’s too much bears, I can’t bear it. We’re bear-y sorry but this is only for younger players.

If you can still bear the puns, better prepare for a panda-monium!

Next up, there are two new bear-y amazing cards over at the Store! Let us paws for a moment and celebrate. They’re the Hat Trick and the Capes ‘n’ Cowls! They only cost 75 Poptropica credits and comes with three different variants (Hat Trick hats are different for girls and boys).

Meanwhile on Twitter, Poptropica has recently made a bear-y relevant reference to the movie Mean Girls and a Poptropica remake of Taylor Swift‘s 1989 album cover! Oh it’s unbearable.

The voting round for the Poppies is still on and you can’t bear-ly miss the post. I can’t paws-ibly win Best Author because Fishy, HP and BT are bear-y amazing. I bear-ter stop. 😛

Hey Poptropicans, and welcome back to The Poppies Awards Show with the Poptropica Help Network! A week has passed since we last met on the red carpet, and you guys have brought up some phe-nom-inal nominations. (That’s a double use of “nom” right there. Hey, could we have some snacks to nom for this next part? It’s no secret they serve some pretty good crawfish in the Poptropica blogosphere…)

Anyway, the nomination round of the Poppies is now over, and we here at the PHN have taken a look and narrowed each award category to five of the most popular options suggested by all you readers (with some exceptions). Now the next round is upon us: without further ado, you can now cast your votes in the survey below! This survey will be open all throughout the week.

Meanwhile, PoptropiCon Ep. 3: Reign of Omegon is now available for download as a free update to the mobile Poptropica app for both iOS and Android. Over on iOS, the app icon has also changed from the yellow blimp to a picture of Dr. Hare holding a carrot in both hands!
