Lalaloopsy Mystery Bananabee

Hey Poptropicans!

There’s currently a Lalaloopsy ad on Main Street of Escape From Pelican Rock, and it’s a common room building. At the top, you’ll find two dummies of doll costumes you can costumize from!

Interested in more free stuff? A website called TechSavvyMama is giving away a prize pack of Poptropica stuff to one lucky raffle winner, in celebration of the release of Mystery of the Map! This includes the print copy of the graphic novel, a 6-month Poptropica membership, the Poptropica blimp toy, and Dr. Hare plush toy. Follow the link in the tweet below to enter.

Also, in addition to the MotM book event in Massachusetts on March 10 (details here), there’s also another chance to meet the author (Jack Chabert, the alias of Max Brallier) at the Barnes & Noble in Rochester, New York’s Pittsford on March 26!

There’s also some monkey business going on at Night Watch Island

But we’ve got more news and sneak peeks on these escaped Monkey Wrench lackeys coming to you in another post, so stay tuned! In the meantime, be sure to get your very own Night Watchmonk follower outside of Bananabee’s on Main Street. (Note: Mysteriously, the booth is not showing for some people – if that’s the case, use a different web browser!) 🙊🍌

Stay popping, Poptropicans!

Home Island, Monkey Wrench Island

Monkey Wrench Island tour is here

Hi Gs,

Quick update to let you guys know that Poptropica has (finally) released the Monkey Wrench Island tour page! The description reads:

The Flying Ace Race is underway! But one evil pilot is about to throw a monkey wrench into your plans. To beat the Red Baroness and win the race, you’ll need to build the fastest yellow blimp in Poptropica! Get ready to take flight in a compact adventure made especially for first-time players!

Also on the tour page is an image of Amelia Earhart posing with the wrench saying, “Talk to me on the Home Island to get started!”

Couple things to mention, first being that the official name for the race is apparently the “Flying Ace Race”. I’d also like to note that there is no mobile “Coming Soon” button or anything of that nature – just a “Play Now” button for online users. This might mean that this island will not be added to the mobile app, but we’ll see.

The page is surprisingly short, only containing a description, logo, and character picture. I’m hoping for a trailer! 🙂

Just in case you cry foul in that it’s going to be the same thing as was published a year ago online, don’t worry – Skinny Moon confirmed to us – right in the comments of this blog – that this is different from the original version!

(As for the bookstore event, see this post for more details!)

I’ll be getting a hard copy of this book in a few days, and I’ll be happy to share any new or interesting information to those of you who can’t get a copy of the book! If you can get the book, it would be a helping hand to the Creators to go ahead and buy it. 😉

In case you haven’t seen it yet, though, the second graphic novel’s title and description was uncovered a few days ago as well, so check that post out too!

This post will be updated in the future with any new information I obtain when I get the graphic novel.

In other news, if you log into Poptropica, you’ll receive two Zombie Goldfish ad items: Zombie Transform (power) and Zombie Eyes (costume part)!

That’s all for now, but check back on this post in a few days for possible updates about noteworthy things in the book!

Heyyo Poptropicans, it’s Ultimate iPad Expert here.

That’s so true F-Dizzle, these memes are frizzity-fresh. L-Day is here and it’s gleamed steamy beam stream of meme themed regime teams has been deemed a supreme unseen dizzity-dream scheme, fiend. Welcome to round fifteen of PMFM (Poptropican Meme Face Mondays)!

PMFM-Round15

The lucky meme-faced Poptropicans this week are Daisy, bilal, and ArgentumWings! And here are the memes:

Feel free to click on the images to view them in their full glory. 😛

Want your own meme face?

Well, it’s simple. Comment on the most recent PMFM post (just choose the one of the list here). Be sure to follow the criteria below:

  • Very crucial: Wear the outfit you want to have in the meme face on Poptropica and keep it on for at least a week.
  • As mentioned, find the most recent PMFM post (it will be at the top of this list)
  • Include your Poptropican username in a comment.
  • Include the meme face you would like on your Poptropican in your comment (a link to an image of the meme is very preferred).
  • Post your comment and wait! (PMFM is operated on a first come-first serve basis, so your meme face will come after all of the ones before are released).
  • Just a note: You do not need to re-comment on newer posts if you haven’t gotten yours yet. Once I reply to your comment mentioning “You being added to the list,” then I have seen your comment and added it to my literal list, so yours will be made after each one before is made.

This completes round fifteen of meme faces. Tune in next Monday for the next Poptropican Meme Face Mondays!

What do you think about this week’s meme faces? Comment below.

Announcing the 2nd Poptropica graphic novel!

This post has been updated with new information.

Hey guys, Brave Tomato here with a bit of interesting news – graphic novel fans, hear me out!

So I decided to go on Barnes and Noble to pre-order the Mystery of the Map graphic novel (which is available March 1st). You know, standard “Add to Cart” and all that stuff. However, I decided to go ahead and look up “Poptropica” in the search bar of Barnes and Noble. As I scrolled down, I was met with a very interesting sight…

The release date, cover, and title of the next Poptropica graphic novel!

The Lost Expedition

The Lost Expedition.

Mya, Oliver, and Jorge are back, and have now arrived in a more arctic setting, as contrasted to their previous viking adventure. It’s written by Mitch Krpata (aka Hades), and Kory Merritt is back for illustration, of course.  According to the Barnes and Noble page, the release date is not until August 16, 2016. Plus, you can pre-order it now, along with the first book.

Unfortunately, other than these facts, there is no other information on this book.

Update: Plot twist! I actually just discovered a description for the plot of this book on the Amazon page for it! Here’s what the description reads:

In book two, The Lost Expedition, Oliver, Mya, and Jorge continue their search for home, with a few hilarious stops along the way. As the friends set sail for new sights, they find the evil Octavian is still hot on their trail, and he’s determined to get his hands on their magical map. To make matters worse, a mysterious organization is keen on expelling the three friends from Poptropica. As the pals travel, they find that each island is filled with its own unique brand of peril, and the mystery surrounding the map and Poptropica itself begins to unfold. Will our trio be able to once again outfox Octavian and discover the identity of this secret society?

A secret society. Expulsion from Poptropica. Peril. Mysteries unfolding. Identities. And a few obvious answers. Part of me wonders… this Society… would it be one that Octavian was once part of but then went rogue? And could Embed (the “Viking” Octavian tied up, and told the trio that they should be wary about Octavian) be a part of that society? Well, there’s only one way of officially finding out: play the waiting game.
