Lunar Colony Island, PHB Parties, Sneak Peeks

I Don’t Wanna Fall Another Moment into Your Gravity….

Hey guys! 😀
So it’s been one day since the release of Wimpy Boardwalk to all! How many of you finished it easily? How many of you need a little help? 😉
Well, the Creators have released a sneak peek into the new and upcoming island (Or technically not an island), Lunar Colony!

I wonder what this picture depicts and what role it plays in the quest! It looks like a space greenhouse of something… Tell us your opinions in the comments!

The PHB’s 4 Year Anniversary is in 6 DAYS! 😀 Can you believe this blog was started 4 years ago? Well, here’s a little reminder of what’s gonna take place:

We hope to see you all there! 😉 If you have trouble figuring out the time it will be for you in your time zone (if it’s not either of the times up there), type in one of these times in Google and see! 😀

Well, that’s all for me today! 😀 Have a great summer!

We so excited

On July 26, 2012, the Poptropica Help Blog turns four years old! Just like last year, we’re celebrating with a PHB Author Night at the Poptropica Help Chatroom (PHC), in which you, dear readers, will get to talk live with the authors of this blog and meet lots of other awesome Poptropicans!

DATE: Thursday, July 26, 2012

TIME: 5:30pm PST / 6:30pm MST / 7:30 CST / 8:30pm, EST
(There’s no set time for it to end, so stay as long as you can!)

PLACE: The PHC!

Be sure to check which time zone you’re in to make sure you come at the right time! (Though it wouldn’t hurt to be early.) EST is Eastern Standard Time in the USA, but if you’re in the GMT+8 time zone like me, that’s 8:30am.

PHC
The PHC – where Author Night will be taking place. A safe chatroom environment with moderators, and of course, PHB authors!

The PHC can be accessed by clicking the “Chat” link in the navigation bar above, or by going to xat.com/thephc. Be sure to familiarize yourself with the chat rules and ranks (this information can be found by scrolling down on the Xat page). Even on regular days (before & after Author Night), you’re welcome to use the PHC.

See you then!

3|THREE: Happy birthday, PHB! *inflates balloons*

Three years. We have come this far.

Three Spree!

Three years ago on July 26th, 2008, the Poptropica Help Blog was created by an 11-year-old girl and the support of her younger brother, collectively known, as some old-timers may recall, ‘Scary Tomato’ (the Poptropican’s name), then later as ‘Hijuyo.’ It turned out the girl was mostly the one running the blog, so she started going under the name ‘Hijuyo’ independently and writing posts with other hired blog authors.

Three years later it’s July 26th, 2011, Hijuyo is now 14, the blog has over 5 million views, a great community, and awesome contributors everywhere. We have invited everyone who wanted to come celebrate, and come they did. The PHB just celebrated their big 3|Three party on our chatroom, the PHC, and met in Multiverse with tons of supporters coming to inflate their “3” balloons (of varying sizes!) from Poptropica’s own 3rd birthday. It was also our third Author Night, and people were able to meet and talk with some of our great PHB authors. Hicoga made a video of the party you can watch here.

These three years were also Hijuyo’s three middle school years, and though I would probably never delete the PHB, high school would mean I may have less time here. Which is why, for everyone’s enjoyment, the PHB comments are now set so that a comment made can immediately go through instead of me having to manually approve them. Hopefully this will bring more discussion in each post as people can read and respond to each other quickly – however, authors will still need to monitor the comments to make sure they don’t get out of hand and everyone has to be responsible in following commenting rules. I will still be around, although I do hope everyone in the community does their part in helping the PHB continue to prosper.

Long live the PHB and the rest of the network!

PHB Parties

It’s back!

Sorry I haven’t been posting lately guys, been really swamped with Reading and English projects. So when it comes to good grades Vs. gaming, I have to make the right choice.

But nothing is going to stop me from being there with you guys on Author Night! Did I mention Author Night 2 is this coming Friday? Yup, that’s right. If you weren’t there last time, this is your chance to meet with some of your favorite PHB Authors! Here are the details.

It will be the 25th, this coming Friday.

It’s Frydayyyy, Fryydayyy

Gotta get down on Fryydayyy

Everybody’s looking forward to the weekend, weekend

Compare the time with Central Standard Time (CST), and do some math to figure out when Friday 8pm CST will be for you. Time zone depends on location.

We hope to see you there!

PHB Parties

Tonight’s the night, let’s live it up

The PHB held its first Author Night last night, and it was a huge hit! Lots of you came, and everyone was excited to hang out with several of the PHB authors, ask questions, go hyper, eat crawfish, joke around, and for the most part, get along with and talk to other PHB readers. We even threw a rocking Multiverse party!

It’s only the first of many epic Author Nights to come. For everyone, whether you were able to make it or not, here’s a picture for the memories:

Hope to see all of you again next time, and if you didn’t get to come, be there next month! It’s a blast, and you don’t want to miss it! Thank you all for coming!
