School’s out, member gifts in

What’s up, Poptropicans? It’s Lucky Joker here, and even if out you’re not out of school quite yet, June’s member gifts are here and it’s time for the summer fun to begin (if you’re in the northern hemisphere, that is 😛)!

This month, if you’re a member, a Skater Outfit, Ice Cream Cone, and Water Balloon Prank will all be added to your inventory upon login. Pretty rad. 😎

Over on the Instagram post announcing the new items, Poptropica received a few comments asking about the future state of Poptropica.

One user asked, “Are you shutting down due to Adobe Flash shutting down?…” to which the Creators replied with “Nope, We’ll still be here! Our devs are working on porting to a new platform.” That’s a great relief! I’m sure most of us thought Poptropica Original would be no more in 2020.

The same Poptropican also asked, “…Also are new islands ever going to come?” The Creators responded, “We’ll see! 👀” Could this mean we’ll be finally getting a new island adventure soon? I certainly hope so! It’s been quite a while now, to say the least….

In other news, there’s a new video ad for the upcoming Toy Story 4 movie on Home Island. All you gotta do is hit play, watch the trailer, and voila! — a Forky Follower just for you.

So what do you think of this month’s member items? (I think they’re pretty cool.) How do you feel about new islands coming to Poptropica? I’m excited just thinking about the possibility! This month, the member gifts are going retro! Active members will receive some pixelated goodies: a hat, a donut, a rainbow mohawk, and a familiar-looking pair a glasses. Pretty cool, right?

On social media, the Creators posted a GIF of Dr. Hare sporting these pixel glasses, complete with the iconic drop animation! 😎 This is the icing on the cake — er, donut in our case.

April’s “bazaar” Member Gifts have blossomed

Hello, Poptropicans!

It’s Lucky Joker here with the member gifts for April! If you’re a member, these items will be automatically added to your account’s inventory upon logging in.

The special gift items this month are:

  • Blossom Power
  • Daisy Pot Hat
  • Bunny Car

I quite like these items as they’re perfect for the season, well… for those of us living in the northern hemisphere that is. It’d would’ve been really cool, though, if we got a Dr. Hare car instead of just a generic bunny, haha! What do you think? Are you a fan of these items? Sound off in the comments!

In other news, over on the Creators’ Blog, new author Blue Tooth gave some sound advice on how to get past the palace guards on episode 1 of Arabian Nights: “How Bazaar.” They also shared this cool artwork to go along with it. Pretty neat!

What’s up, member-tropicans? It’s Lucky Joker here along with the excusive member gifts for March! (And even if you’re not a member, at least check out the sneak peek to come…)

If you’re an active member or purchase a membership anytime throughout the month, these items will automatically be added to your inventory:

  • Green Power
  • Pie Day Pie Toss

I love that the items resemble the festivities this month. (It would’ve been cool to see a green and purple jester hat and mask for Mardi Gras too!) The Green Power and Pie Day would make great sabotages in multiverse parties, hehe.

In other news, Poptropica just released a sneak peek on Instagram of some accessories for pets that are coming soon! Take a look:

They’re really cute, but unfortunately—from what I can tell—most of the stock will be member exclusive. But hey, you never know, right?

And one more thing: Poptropica has a new screen for when players need to activate Flash in order to play Poptropica, featuring the likes of Shark Boy and other Poptropicans (and even a pet chameleon) surrounding him!

Sweet gifts with Kim-POP-pible and Fruity Pebbles

Hey again, Poptropicans! It’s Lucky Joker here with the sweet member gifts of February.

If you’re a member, you will receive these five festive items upon logging in: Valentino Outfit, Heartbreaker, Crushing Outfit, Sweet Heart, and Candy Storm. According to the Creators, these gifts “will never be released again,” so get yours while you can.

How lovely. Remember, if you buy a membership any time within the month, you will receive all five of these gifts!

In other news, there are two ads currently pestering Poptropica with four total prizes to be earned. Let’s check them out!

The first one advertises the upcoming Kim Possible Disney channel movie, which premieres on the channel on February 15. To get the goods, all you have to do is watch the short video trailer. What you’ll win includes a cool grappling hook (which functions similarly to the grappling bow tie in Spy Island) and quite possibly the strangest follower I’ve ever seen — a Rufus follower.

The second one advertises America’s fruitiest cereal, Fruity Pebbles; this ad is also just a video. After you watch the ad, you’ll get a Cereal Guitar (I remember making one of these when I was little!) and a neat Robot helmet. Yabba Dabba Doo!

That about covers it for today! What do you think about this month’s member gifts? My favorite is definitely the candy storm power. After all, they’re not going to be available in real life this year… RIP.
