There are a couple of glitches concerning Survival: Episode 3 that I wanted to mention, mainly because they’re preventing people from finishing the island…
The first glitch is the lemon glitch, and it occurs when you break the lemon box onto the ground. You won’t be able to click on the lemon and obtain it no matter what. To fix this, go to another scene, such as the nearby ad street, then come back. It will have reset, and you can pick up the lemon.
The second is a little harder to fix — it happens when you try to assemble the radio while on the radio tower scene. When you do, the wires that are necessary to fix it don’t show up. Try logging out and back in, then trying to assemble it on a different scene. If that doesn’t work, you’ll have to restart the episode and assemble the radio in a different areaย than the radio tower.
Hey Poptropicans!ย The Poptropica Shop is having a spring sale this weekend, and you can get 30% off any purchase of custom Poptropica t-shirts/sweatshirts by entering the code SPRING30 at checkout! (Note: these shirts currently only ship if you’re within the U.S.!)
And OMZ (whichย I imagine can only meanย oh my Zeus), did you hear? Mythology Island has been added to the Poptropica mobile app, which is available on all iOS devices! It’s the same as the online version, so if you need a walkthrough, check out the PHB’s Mythology Island Guide!
Android users, there’s some good news – according to the official Poptropica Twitter, the Poptropica mobile app will be available on Google Play around July, which is only a couple months away!
Also, there’s been a strange glitch with the inventory (thanks to KeithSammut for pointing this out!) – the “Vent Blueprint”, which belongs in the 24 Carrot items, can be found among your Shark Tooth items! What’s up with that? ๐
Anyway, don’t forget that the PHB magazine (now known as POPCORN) is looking for creative Poptropica fan stories, artwork, fashion, island ideas, and more for its next issue, which is coming June 1st! Check out the Magazines page for more details, and remember to email all entries to phbpopcorn(at)gmail.com! ๐
Hi Gs, whatย isnโtย happening in the world of Poptropica? Prepare to have your mind blown with all the new things happening in the Poptropica universe!ย ๐
Also, I made a new Poptropica-based wallpaper, showing washed up villains after we take their evil. I’ve recorded the making of the poster, and you can check it out along with other speed art here. ๐
Deleted ad rares
Recently, something happened that was feared for quite a long time — rares from old ads were deleted. Among the deleted items are the Barbie hair, the lion mask, the popcorn suit, the penguin hat, and the Flint Lockwood hair. For some, those were key parts of their costumes, and they’ve been around so long that it’s sad to see them go. The Barbie hair was the most influential, and it was quite a glitch classic. Will we ever see these items again?
Advertisement updates: CapriSun & HTTYD 2
A new advertisement has popped up recently, being for the CapriSun Roarin’ Waters campaign, that I found on Early Poptropica. ย When you go inside, you can play either of the two games: Save the Swimmer or Save the Sunbather. For the first, you have to surf out into the ocean to save a swimmer from an octopus, and in the latter, you have to make your way through an obstacle course to save a sunbather from… sun burn. Hmm, which premise sounds more dangerous?
There areย a couple of things that are worth mentioning about the ad, not counting the stupid cards that you get for completing the quests, first being the host of the interior ad — if you’re a boy, the host has somewhat straight hair, while if you’re a girl, the host has curly hair and sunglasses. I find that a bit strange, so tell me what you think in the comments!
To finish the first quest concerning the swimmer, click to jump on your surf board, and avoid mean fishies/rocks while boosting your heightย by touching flying fruit baskets in the grasp of seagull’s claws. (Quite a mouthful, I might add. ๐ )
The cool part is that while you’re playing the game, you have a shell in your hand that you blow on to calm the octopus. To keep the shell after you play the game, press ctrl+shift+s to change your skin color and keep the item! Same goes with the second game, where you’ll get a bottleย of sunblock. When you press the space bar with the shell equipped, you perform a musical motion, while the sunblock is just presented with pride.
Another ad showcases the upcoming movie How To Train Your Dragon 2, where if you watch a (way too long) trailer for the movie, you get a neat “Toothless Dragon Fire” power. When equipped, it gives you a strange looking smile, and when you press spacebar, fire bellows out from within. If you’re close to someone, it will give them a burnt look — priceless! Although when you think about it, sort of painful.
Tip: Save the mouth to your closet, and after the ad is removed, you will still be able to use the power!
Upcoming island updates
First of all, the fourth episode of Survival’s name has been uncovered: Cabin Fever (unrelated to the Wimpy Kid book. ๐ ). This episode looks like the best one so far, and I’ll be revealing the awesomeness in upcoming Survival Files. ๐ In the meantime, check out this awesome scene:
You can also check my Survival 2 video walkthrough below. ๐
With the release of Survival 2, many things are revealed about how they’re going to do things with episodes — but first of all, I want to express my feelings about something… ARRGGG!!! What have they done to the first page of the map?! Obviously, they took the two SUIs from it and moved them to the last page, but why?! It just feels so wrong! And the last page is so squished together now… I’m a long time Poptropica player, and when you start to change the layout in drastic ways like this, I don’t take to the updates very kindly.
I know, it seems sort of ironic since larger updates have been made, e.g. the new map, the Friends feature, etc. But don’t do small things that mess up my orientation! It may seem like a small change, but I’m not happy. ๐ The one thing that I am happy about would be the way that they’re going to be presenting episodes: there are pop up screens that let you choose between episodes — genius!

Thanks for reading, and I hope you enjoyed. ๐ The Poptropican Portraits Season 1 Finale Livestream is coming soon, so keep on a look out for details. ๐
Update: I’m playing it on an alternate computer ๐
Wonderful, lucky old me. So when I first came on Poptropica, everything seemed normal. I know that Hook, Line and Sinker is gonna come out today, I figured I’d just go closer to the blimp- I was in the Control Room on Super Villain Island. However, as soon as I got out, there was an error image on my screen where the gameplay screen once was. Then, a pop-up talking about add-ons appeared on the top left of my screen. Unsure of what it meant, I closed it.
So I refreshed the Poptropica home page and I tried to log in. However, this screen keeps popping up:
This infamous Poptropican Blue Screen of Death. I checked and double checked to make sure that my settings complied with the instructions on the error message, and it did. I tried logging in again and again, yet it wouldn’t go. I even tried rebooting my laptop but it is still not working. I even deleted the cookies on my laptop. But still.
If you guys have any suggestions, let me know- I have no clue why Poptropica decided to be mean to me TODAY of all days.

Complete Poptropica game on mobile
PHB reader and PTFP owner Silver Wolfย recently informed everyone that for a small price of 5 dollars, you can play all of Poptropica on mobile — not just the islands that have been released on the Poptropica app! See below for the steps.
It works for both Apple and Android devices, which is something that the Poptropica app currently does not feature. Do note, however, that you will have to have an internet connection of some kind for this to work.
Here’s a basic outline of the steps involved:
Download the app “Photon” by Appsverse on the iTunes Store or Google Play Store. It costs US$4.99.
Wait for app to finish installing, then open it.
Enter “poptropica.com” in its search bar, then tapย the lightning bolt to activate Flash. Enjoy!
To improve your mobile Poptropica app, click the gear icon to enter the Settings, and set the mode to โGameโ and bandwidth to 6. You can choose from a few formats to play the game, but drag works best for Poptropica.
You can read her extensive directions here — rememberย that I have not been able to try this out, so if you do try it, tell us the results in the comments. ๐
Yesterday, the card was re-uploaded to the store, now with Master Mime on the front of card! If you had the original Avatar Studio Card in your inventory, it too isย updated.
I’m sad that Shark Boy was replaced by Master Mime on the card; it just doesn’t feel the same.
New iPhone handheld
The iPad handheld for the Poptropica App was recently removed from everything — inventories, costume closets, etc. — that is, until it reappeared in a new ad that I found on Main Street of Early Poptropica andย Monster Carnival. The video ad standย awards both the iPad handheld and a new iPhone handheld for watching the app trailer!
In case you haven’t heard, the official Poptropica game app is now available for iPhones and iPod touches! You can read more about it in Sam’s post below.
Puterpop at age 7
I recently uncovered a video that I had made four years ago, with me playing onย my second account, puterpoptropica. I had to share it with you guys, so here it is — humiliation and all. ๐
Making a green-starย ad account
Ad accounts are special accounts that always show up on the front of your friends list and have green stars instead of yellow –and now you can make your own with the video walk through below! (Thanks Raqk for the tip)
