Howdy, Poptropicanos, my name is LJ! Iโve been playing Poptropica for as long as I can remember, and Iโve been blabbing about it here on the PHB for over 8 years. Wowie, the time sure goes by fast when youโre having fun. Beyond the realm of Poptropica, some of my hobbies include drawing, taking long strolls, collecting way too many cool things I donโt have room for, creating unique characters, and letting my imagination run wild in my daydreams. In real life, I tend to be pretty extremely shy, but online, Iโm usually bursting with cheerful energy. Donโt be afraid to chat me up in the comments or on the PHC. Also, follow my IG and DeviantArt if you wanna!

Hey Poptropicans, this is a guest post by Magic Kid. Enjoy!
Alright Poptropicans! Magic Kid is back again with the final part of the fanfiction, Murder at Myronโs. (Read parts 1, 2, & 3 first! ๐)ย
The villains are pointing fingers, investigating, and analyzing everything and everyone in order to figure out who murdered Myron Van Buren. It’s extremely difficult, however, to figure out. All the shifty suspects are 100% capable and dangerous, but all claim innocence.
They had just discovered a secret tunnel and some more interesting variables when another well-knownโ yet uninvitedโ villain turned up. More contention will break out as they blame the newly arrived Dr. Hare for the murder. But what happens to him, to our Narrator Merlin, and to every villain at that dinner-gone-wrong?
Youโll have to read this shocking conclusion to the series in order to find out for yourself what happens in the endโฆ
Murder at Myronโs
Part 4/4
All the Villains except Dr. Hare were shock-quiet as Dr. Hare, pink bunny suit and all, stepped inside in the warm house and shivered in the sudden temperature change. And then more chaos, more arguing, and just more contention in general broke out for probably the millionth time that evening.
Captain Crawfish pinned Dr. Hare against the Lincoln Log style walls of the cabin and shouted at him. โWHY DID YOU KILL MYRON? AND TO HAVE THE NERVE TO COME BACK TO THE SCENE OF THE CRIME LIKE AND INNOCENT LITTLE SHRIMP? HOW DARE YOU, RABBIT!โ
Everyone else was ganging up on Dr. Hare and joining in on the shouting now. โI see how it is! You got mad you weren’t invited and decided to get a little bit of revenge, right? Daphne poked at him.
โNโno! I got anโโ
I was accidentally pushed roughly against the wall by the villains gathering and this kind of behavior continued.
โWho are you working with?โ demanded Mademoiselle Moreau, who had been the one to discover that breakthrough of the window having to have been unlocked from the inside.
โWhy would you DO this?โ asked Ringmaster Raven angrily.
โMโMyronโs dโdead?โ Dr. Hare asked, barely managing to talk because of Crawfishโs grip on his throat.
โAYE, YOU MUCK OF SLIMEโโ
โWhat should we do with him?โ Director D asked in cold rage.
Gretchen replied in equal anger โI donโt know! I think we should just let Crawfish have him at the moment!โ
โNo! Waitโ I didnโtโโ
โWhy else would you come here uninvited?!โ Mordred shouted.
Hey Poptropicans, this is a guest post by Magic Kid. Enjoy!
*poof* Heyo Poptropicans! I come bringing you Part 3/4 of Murder at Myronโs! Read the previous episode here, or if youโd like to go to the beginning, you can reach that here.
Okay so quick recap: A lot of Poptropicaโs villains come together for a dinner party at Myron Van Burenโs cabin, but after searching for the host, they find Myron DEAD in the trophy room.ย *DUN DUN DAAAAAA*
Last episode was a game of โWhereโs Myron?โ but now itโs time to figure out who, out of the choice of many dangerous unpredictable villains, killed him. Can Merlin figure out who the villain of villains is before they take another victim?
Perhaps this episode will be the answerโฆ
Murder at Myronโs
Part 3/4
Pandemonium.
Black Widowโs scream reached the dining room and brought in a rush of people, spilling in through a door and crowding the entrance of the trophy room. Everyone gathered around Myronโs body, whispering loudly and shouting questions repeatedly until someone answered it.
Winston went over to investigate the commotion, and seeing his masterโs body, he quickly sat down in a nearby chair with a small, โOh, dear.โ
โALRIGHT, WHO DID IT?โ Director D shouted over the noisy crowd, already exhausted from the arguing that was happening.
Everyone clambered to answer.
โIt wasnโt me!โ Isabella, the chef, said.
Daphne shouted over the noise, โMORDRED AND BLACK WIDOW WERE IN HERE FIRST!โ
โDonโt look at me, I didnโt do it!โ Mordred protested after several heads turned to him.
โTo be fair, neither did I!โ Black Widow added.
Gretchen argued back. โYou two were in the room first, you both had opportunity.โ
โBut whatโs our motive?โ Black Widow shot back. โI, at least, had no desire to murder Myron Van Buren. I swear, I just found him like that! Mordred, on the other handโโ
โExcuse me?!โ Mordred said. He was about to argue but was cut off.
โI think it was Moreau, she hasnโt said a WORD since entering this room, unlike everyone else,โ Daphne accused bluntly.
โThatโs MADEMOISELLE Moreau to you,โ she replied coldly. โAnd silence is no admission to guilt. Would it be impossible to believe that all this noise began to give me a headache and I would rather not contribute to the tumult?โ
โOh.โ
โWho said ve vas murdered? This could have EASILY been an accident!โ Count Bram wondered.
Hey Poptropicans, this is a guest post by Invisible Ring. Enjoy!
It’s that spooktacular time of year again! Thrilling parties, chilling movies, tricks and treats all around! Yes, Halloween is upon us like the brisk autumn air that just blew in out of nowhere. Speaking of which, you best put on a hat! It’s only going to get colder from here…
Once you’ve grabbed your hat and picked out some pumpkins, go find a costume, and hurry! Time is running out and you can’t trick-or-treat without a costume! I mean, maybe you can, but what fun would that be?
If you’re having trouble deciding what costume to choose from, try rooting through your closet. If you have no costumes in your closet, you can either get creative with a clever combination of clothes and accessories from your inventory or swing by the nearest costume shop and pick something out!
Most importantly, grab a bag or a Halloween basket to put your candy in. Grocery bags and pillow sacks work great, but if you don’t have those go get a happy meal at McDonald’s! They always have Happy Meal “Boo Buckets” this time of year!
But I know what you’re thinking: “Aren’t we a little old for this trick-or-treating business?” My answer is no! Why? I know people who still go trick-or-treating even in their 50s! Plus, there are whole families who trick-or treat in group costumes like the Flintstones or the Incredibles.
Besides, we all have masks on so nobody is going to really know how old you are. Just play nice and blend in with the crowd. You’ll be just fine.
But if your neighborhood has grouchy neighbors who tell you that you’re too old for trick-or-treating, then I suggest you try trick-or-treating at the mall. There are also fall carnivals, trunk-or-treats, and harvest festivals everywhere on Halloween night, so try finding events like those as well!
P.S. Feel free to attend as many Halloween parties and events as I do, because it isn’t just bonus candy; it’s bonus costumes and Halloween fun too!
I hope that you found this post spooktacular and that these Halloween tricks treat you well this season. Thank you for reading and I wish you all a very Happy Halloween! ๐
Hope you enjoyed this guest post by Invisible Ring.
The Poptropica Help Blog welcomes interesting Poptropica insights from anyone in the Poptropica community with thoughts to share. Interested in writing for the PHB? Weโd love to hear from you!
Howdy Poptropicanos, it’s LJ starting up a brand-new series here on the PHB called ImPOPtu!โa Poptropica version of Mad Libs. Longtime players and followers of Poptropica might recall Poptropica’s release of an official Mad Libs book over a decade ago. (You can check it out under the miscellaneous section on our merchandise page.) I’m here to revive this concept and to hopefully carry it on.
What are Mad Libs: Mad Libs is a well-known word-based game characterized by stories interspersed with multiple blank spaces. These blanks can be filled with various types of words, including adjectives, nouns, and names.
How to play: Players are tasked with filling in the blanks without any prior exposure to the story. Once filled, the final story is read aloud, often resulting in humorous and occasionally absurd outcomes. That’s it! Are you ready for a laugh?
Below, you will find three completely random (and incomplete) stories inspired by Poptropica, all thought up by me. As noted earlier, the arrangement of events and the selection of some characters are determined by you at random. So, what are you waiting for? Discover the entertaining tales you’ll come up with!

After some convincing, Amelia agreed to help, but under the condition that she got free [#8-plural noun] and a front-row seat to the concert. Hip Hop, desperate and determined, agreed to her demands. With time to spare, they landed [#9-adverb], and Hip Hop made it to his concert on Backlot Island with a few hours to spare. I think it would be really cool to have a comments section showcasing everyone’s diverse outcomes, so please share yours below! I just love imagining the game characters in a variety of scenarios.
Thank you all for reading, and I look forward to chatting with you again soon. Until then, pop on! ๐
Howdy, Poptropicanos and welcome to a special edition of Pop Fan Artist Spotlight, featuring the works of our very own Gentle Dolphin!
I initially became aware of Gentle’s art in 2018, making this showcase a long-anticipated one; she’s actually been making Pop fanart on a regular basis since 2017. To begin, I would like to share one of my all-time favorite Poptropica fan videosโthe iconic PHB parody of the “Who Broke It?” scene from Parks and Recreation. ๐คฃ
Gentle Dolphin is consistently cooking up remarkable Poptropica artwork. Whether she’s illustrating her original character, designing costumes, or developing material for our April Fool’s pranks(which she has done a lot of btw!) her art creations are both charming and refined. Her artistic style has become quite distinctive to me, although she has explored various techniques on a few occasions. Take a moment to admire this beautiful gallery featuring some of her proudest creations from over the years. (Click for the full glory and titles!)
Alright, I just couldn’t help myself… Here are a couple of my personal favorites in addition if you weren’t done looking at great art yet. ๐
“Smash! Crackle! POP! Fighters Banner”“Angie And Demi”
I asked Gentle Dolphin to share her main sources of inspiration when designing her captivating pieces. Here is her response:
My normal art style takes inspiration from a few things: MLP G4, Dork Diaries, and anime. My Poptropica style mixes my usual coloring with Poptropica Worlds’ anatomy. When coming up with ideas, I like bouncing off of friends and family. Staying motivated can be a challenge, especially when you’re dealing with burnout. When I have low motivation to work on a piece, I’ll either work on a different piece or take a short break from creating (I’ll have a snack, clean up, play a game, or chat with someone).
I can certainly identify with some of those feelings about motivation, and it’s quite intriguing to witness how different fandoms influence the artwork she creates. Furthermore, Gentle Dolphin graciously offered some guidance for fellow artists. The floor is yours, GD!
Practice by knowing what and how to improve, experiment with new techniques, take 10-minute breaks every hour or so, search for constructive feedback, and have fun!
That’s some sound advice. Thanks to her for sharing that with us!
GD is active across a variety of platforms, including Instagram, DeviantArt, Tumblr, X, and her own website. Check out any of her pages to familiarize yourself even more with her work and consider the possibility of commissioning her. Seriously, each time I come across one of her artworks, I find myself in awe. It was quite a fun process to compile all of them as it allowed me to appreciate a wide array simultaneously. ๐คฉ
It’s not just me though; even the creators of Poptropica have taken notice of GD’s impressive designs and stylish flair. In September 2021, her Pumpkin Punk costume design (pictured in the collage) won a contest and was added to the game the following month.
On top of that, former Poptropica creator Jonathan Pitcher (notice the banner on his LinkedIn & X profiles ๐), who we’ve highlighted and talked to before, mentioned that he once pitched the idea of creating an island inspired by her art style! Even though that idea didn’t come to fruition, it’s still an incredible recognition. ๐
On the topic of art and GD, I should highlight that she is currently hosting anart collaboration in celebration of Pop’s 17th birthday. Tomorrow is the final day for submitting your entry, so if you have not yet participated, I recommend that you do so as soon as possible. This is a party that you’ll certainly want to be a part of! (Edit: You have until the end of the 29th!)
And that’s a wrap! Do you have any favorite artists that we have yet to showcase on the blog? I encourage you to submit your suggestions in the comments section below. I hope you found this Pop Fan Artist Spotlight as enjoyable as I did. A big thank you for reading as always and I’ll talk to you again very soon, pop on! ๐
