Winter Realm Tour with Invisible Ring ❄️

For years, Master Creators have showcased the best pieces of their Poptropica Realms here.  But some of these creators don’t just decorate one or two sections of their Realms, but many, or even all the scenes, like me! So what now?

Well, when I shared my seven Clubhouse Tours here on the PHB, it reminded me of Realms the whole way through. So I thought, why not make Realms tours, too? I have seven Realms I think everyone will really enjoy… so let’s do it! It’s my great honor to introduce the PHB’s very first full-on Realms Tour, starting with my newborn winter Realm, Erjenoop.

Look out the window! It’s SNOWING!! And listen to the radio! It says the schools are closed today! You know what THAT means…

…SNOW DAY! Time to run outside and catch some snowflakes! Time to climb trees and build snow forts! Time to sled down hills and make snow angels and ice sculptures!

LATER: …Whew!  That was fun, but that was also exhausting. It’s also getting colder out here. Better slow down and rest by the igloo a bit and make a campfire… Ahh… this is nice. Just like the Survival Island game. Maybe even better!

I’m glad I got to this igloo campsite when I did, because now the snow’s REALLY coming down! …Hey, I can see the mall from up here! Maybe I should head down THERE to warm up.

At the mall:

Lady: Hi, welcome to the—  Invisible Ring!

Ring: Hey there, Red Coat! What’s up?

Lady: YOU’RE here, that’s what’s up! What on earth were you doing out there in that freezing snowstorm??

Ring: Oh, snow forts, snow angels, igloos, climbing trees… Is it really that cold?  Well, I guess it MUST have been, because that snow was WAY too cold and dry to make snowballs.

Lady: The temperature dropped all the way down to zero Fahrenheit!  Everyone is snowed in, even me!  We’re not even supposed to be open today, but I had to work late last night and the snow piled up all the while, so, yeah, been stuck here since last night.

Ring: Ooooh, bummer.

Lady:  Actually, it’s not that bad. Kind of an adventure, actually! …Like Night Watch Island! And the heating and lights are still on, too, so I’m actually pretty lucky.

Ring:  Cool! Hey, I’m kinda hungry. Am I still able to buy lunch?

Lady: Absolutely!  Free samples if you don’t have your wallet, or a full meal for 20 Poptropica credits. Credits only, mind you. We don’t take credit cards here.

Ring: 20 credits? You got it!

Lady: Thank you!  Have a great snow day, Ring!  But I advise you to get home soon.  It’s so cold that even the children aren’t keen on playing outside today.

Ring: What about you, though?

Lady:  Oh, don’t you worry.  I’m having a great time here! And the boss’ll be proud that I held down the fort, just like when Kevin guarded his house in Home Alone!  …Say, wait a minute, what am I thinking? You can stay here, too, if you can’t get home tonight!

Ring: Thanks, Red Coat, but I’ll be fine. I have places to go after lunch anyway, and this isn’t the only time I’ve run around wild in hot and cold deserts!

Lady: Ok, then. Good luck on your adventure, too!

Wow! I get out the door and run into the woods, and what do I find? …An entire forest of Christmas trees!  I’d even call it a river of lights!  Who cares if Christmas vacation is over? In this place, it feels like it’s still HERE! Ohhh… And it’s snowing again, too!  This is so beautiful, I wonder what else is out here?

…It’s a church! A church at the end of the Christmas tree forest, and it’s all decorated with luminaria… I hear music in there. I wonder what’s inside? Let’s take a closer look.

It’s the church choir, practicing Christmas carols! …And Linus from Great Pumpkin Island is practicing a sermon for this Sunday! I guess I’m not the only one out and about today after all.

Linus: Why, hello, Invisible Ring!  Have you come to practice sermons, too?

Ring: Well… actually, I was just passing by… It sounds interesting, now that you mention it, but… well, for some reason, I always have a hard time talking about that sorta thing.

Linus: That’s ok. Public speaking is a very scary thing. And many people fear that religion, politics, and the Great Pumpkin are things you should NEVER discuss!

Ring: I hate to say it, but I think that, too. It’s just every time I speak my mind, hour-long banters, or even FIGHTS break out, and… and… I dunno.  Maybe I’m just not brave or confident enough to preach up there like you. I just don’t know if I can do it right.

Linus: Sure, you can! And if you can’t say it, you can express it in your writing and art! Just like when you shared the story of Jesus this Christmas!

Ring: Oh, yeah! …You mean you saw it, too?

Linus: Yes, and you did a great job. You did more than share truth—you made it fun.  And even more importantly, you made it relevant.  It’s a new year and a new century, and we all need to know how God’s word can still apply to us and our world today.

Ring: Wow… I don’t think I could’ve said all that if I was the one up there on the podium!

Linus: Well, I’d love to stay and chat, but it’s getting late. I gotta get my coat and go home now, but it was great talkin’ to you, Ring!

Ring: You too! Thanks a lot, Linus! You’re my favorite pastor!

I’d better get home too, but before I do that, I wanna make one last stop before the sun sets.  There’s a nativity scene right next to the church here, and… oh! I just found a flower!

…Excuse me, three kings… I know that Christmas is over, but I also know we’re encouraged to keep Christmas in our hearts the whole year, so… I was wondering if I could still give something to the baby Jesus? …What’s that? “Ladies First”, you say? Why, thank you!

Mary and Joseph? …I have something for your baby King! I wanted to give him a treasure called Poptanium, but it’s so big and heavy that you can’t even lift it without a Viking hammer! 

But then I found this pretty flower, and I thought of what Jesus once said… about how flowers don’t wear clothes, but Jesus can dress them to be even prettier than the richest king! So… I think this kingly flower should go to you, King Jesus. I hope you like it…

Sniff…  What? What’re you lookin’ at, Mr. Sheep? …NO, I’m not gettin’ choked up!  It’s just that my eyes… my whole FACE gets red if it’s outside too long… sniffle… And my nose… It’s started snowing again! Doesn’t YOUR nose get runny when you’re out in the snow, too? Anyway, I gotta go home. It’s been a big day…

LATER: Wow, what a day.  I think I just got really tired at the end… Touring a whole frigid realm ALL DAY while everyone else was inside, reading books by the fire? Say, that sounds like a good idea! I should do that before I settle in for a long winter’s nap.

How ‘bout this book? It says, “What’s your favorite winter activity?… Snowball fights? Christmas decorations? Skating? Staying indoors and relaxing by the fire…”  Hey, wait a minute, this is MY book!  I wrote it just a few months ago so I could plan what fun to have when the snow comes…

But it looks like I came pretty close to doing everything in this book today anyway, so that concludes my first Poptropica Realms tour.
