Hey guys, BT here to try and bring in some good news after the downer of the 7 sponsored members-only islands news.
Timmy Failure Island is officially announced, in, I shall say, in a unique way. Instead of the standard YouTube trailer, we’re given a short gif revealing an approximate release month for the island: September 2015.
There is an emphasis on the fact that this island is going to be in full color, similar to how Wimpy Boardwalk was advertised to be (as opposed to Wimpy Wonderland). Captain Crawfish also notes to keep an eye out for more “news, giveaways, and other great stuff” on the Creators’ Blog. I’m particularly curious about the giveaway part.
Although I have never personally read the series, I’m still semi-curious. HPuterpop told me it was about a kid who solves mysteries. I can see that working in a Poptropican environment. Can’t judge a book by its cover, so I’m willing to give this island a chance.
While we wait till September, please enjoy what I assume to be the product a bored Creator who must’ve been playing Silent Hill lately. And then decided to show a Poptropican version of a gore-free Pyramid Head off on the Daily Pop because why not.

Wait by giveaways do they mean Promo codes such as the Lego Cuusoo or now it’s called Lego Ideas, Dr. Hare Lair ? If so I wonder what the promo items will be ?
Isn’t Poptropica supposed to be kid safe? Then they post something from Silent Hill
Something I’m wondering about is that all the islands that have been made for Members only are sponsored. Speaking Timmy Failure is also sponsored, I’m questioning whether it will ever be released to Non-Members… Hopefully it will, but I have my doubts. :c
My theory: It could be members only to start, like all islands, then be opened to non-members for a while, then closed to just members.
i totally would like a harry potter island! ok, so its not really for kids, but i think it would be a cool storyline and… im a hogwarts fan too. 😛
*sighs* Excuse me, moody tuna, but Hogwarts is real, and it’s most certainly not “an island”, and neither is Harry Potter – he’s a wizard. And you are correct in the fact that Hogwarts is not for kids, at least halfway, since ages eleven to perhaps thirteen could still be considered in the childhood stage. And it’s not a “cool storyline” if it’s REAL.. alright, well, the witch J. K. Rowling has enough advertising already with her website, “Pottermore.” It’s unjust that she reveals more about the wizarding world than she already has with her books solely focused on Harry Potter.. but since she has her own website, she certainly doesn’t need her own island on another website not owned by her. Logic, moody tuna, logic.
P. S. Seriously, I don’t think it’s going to happen since there’s Pottermore. Sorry if this seemed pretty rude 😛 Just saying the facts like narrow-minded Hermione would..

I actually never read Timmy Failure – never seemed like it was the book for me, there’s way too many books these days that’s the same exact genre as Timmy Failure – but I know my librarian promoted it a lot and encouraged a lot of kids to read it – and some of them did. All I know was that they thought it was HILARIOUS – like, really funny. I think that could be a good quality in an island – humor (humor is always appreciated in books, as the famous Matilda said that even though C. S. Lewis is a good author, he doesn’t use humor in writing, and she thought all children’s books should have humor) And yes, I love GIFS – Timmy Failure sounds like a “moderately” enjoyable character and I like the logo! It’s good that book islands are coming to Poptropica – I really enjoyed some of them, like Red Dragon Island and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (of course, who could forget the two Diary of the Wimpy Kid islands?) Even though Poptropica hasn’t been making awesome islands lately… (I didn’t really enjoy GHD or MoTM (my friend hated MoTM so much, she said, “I don’t know WHAT that is, but it’s not an island.” It’s now her new least favorite island, slightly edging out her old least favorite, S. O. S) So.. I hope this island turns out to be quirky, humorous, and one of Poptropica’s better islands (plus available for non-members too!)
I am extremely disappointed. My son has been counting down the days for Timmy Failure to open today and it isn’t . What is going on with it? You build it up for months and then this?! Very disappointing.
He is a paid member too!
