If you’ve been to a Target store recently, you might have seen something interesting in the electronics section. Something that looks a little like this:

Introducing the Poptropica Game Card! Poptropica Members can use Game Cards to extend their existing Memberships by 10 weeks. Non-Members can use them either for a new 10-week Membership, or 1,000 Credits to use in the Poptropica Store. Either way, you win!

Poptropica Game Cards are available now at Target, and are coming soon to many other retailers. You know, the holidays are right around the corner…

Thanks. For today’s next update, there is a new ad called Pair of Kings! So far, it has been seen on Skullduggery Island, and might be for all ages. I saw it on my 12 year old account and also my 8 year old account. The kings have been kidnapped and you have to find them in a cave maze while avoiding tarantula people, mummies, and volcano lava geysers.  The prizes for completing this ad are a Volcano Totem, and a Pair of Kings outfit. Loud Shark from the PHC has provided a helpful walkthrough to this ad:

I spent so much time fooling around on Steamworks Island that I completely forgot about trying to finish the quest! And now here we are, on the eve of the Island opening to everybody, that I can’t even brag anymore about being a Member and having Early Access. C’est la vie.

Anywho, I was intrigued in my travels to come across this strange sort of lever on Steamworks Island.

One side was clearly much longer than the other.

Standing on that side did nothing.

Odd. But standing on the other side…

It began to drop!

Once I reached the bottom, the whole thing locked into place.

Right then, I really, truly was ready to stop messing around and get started on my Steamworks Island adventure. But look at that! Early Access is already almost over, and soon the floodgates will open.

We hope everybody enjoys Steamworks Island when it opens to the public tomorrow!

I sure hope the creators have more CCs in store, because Captain Crawfish III might’ve been protected from walking the plank, but he was prone to NOMNOM NOMMERS!

Steamworks Island is a creepy place, but that’s no reason you can’t have fun there. I found one rotating platform that reminded me of a Ferris Wheel.

Actually, you don’t stop. This thing will keep going as long as you want to ride it. Don’t worry about finding anybody. Just ride those G-forces!

I’ve seen many of you in the comments wondering about how the Creators will fit all the other new islands on a teeny tiny map. And they have heard you! In this new post, it tells you how they pumped up the map and they also tell you of the new island they are working on and are giving us a sneak peek! Before you run off, read this:

Pump up the map

Since we’ve added so many new Islands to Poptropica recently, you may have noticed the map screen has gotten a little too full. Well, no more! We’ve made a brand-new map. And it has plenty of room for even more Islands.

In fact, if you go to the map now, you’ll be able to see the next Island we’re working on — along with a sneak preview that’s open to everybody! Check it out!

Let me explain how the map works. When you leave the island, you get to control the blimp as it flies around the Poptropica map. as you pass over each island, it shows you the difficulty rank: Easy, medium, or hard. I’ll post the ranks later, because I’m sure you want to know what the new island is. If you really want to know it’s:

GREAT PUMPKIN ISLAND!

I’m sure you’re wondering WHAT THE HECK? or if I’m kidding, but i kid you not. The new island they’re working on is Great Pumpkin Island. It’s animated like Big Nate. When you get there you see a couple of signs and you also see Linus. You can talk with him about the Great Pumpkin. I wonder how this quest will turn out…. I just wonder what pumpkins, mansions, SUV’s, and driving dogs have to do with each other. Are they even on the same island? Anyway… before I forget, here are the ranks the Creators say the islands are. Bye guys! 😀
