Wazzup Poptropicanos, it’s LJ here! 🤟Who’s ready to play Kahoot? Mark your calendars. I’m hosting a Poptropica Kahoot Challenge on Sunday, April 13 @2:30pm PST, on the Poptropica Help Chat (PHC), and you’re all invited to participate! (must be 13 or older)

If you’re not aware of Kahoot, it’s a multiplayer quiz game where players can join by entering a pin on a mobile app (on Android and iOS) or via the website and compete in friendly competition.

Your device acts as a remote control to answer questions displayed on the host’s screen (mine). When the game starts, everyone has to answer the questions before the 20-second timer runs out. Also, the faster you answer, the more points you’ll earn if you’re correct. The player with the most points at the end wins! (see prize at the bottom of the post) 🥇

Here’s how it’s going to go down: To get in on the game, you’ll need to join the Poptropica voice channel on our Discord server. You’ll find it on the bottom left corner of your screen. If you’d rather not share your voice, just click the microphone icon to mute yourself. I know many of you are familiar with how Discord works, but this is for anyone who might be new or not quite in the loop.

For an optimal experience, you’ll need two devices—one for viewing my shared screen and another for answering the questions. You can try your luck at one device, but personally I find it more difficult to keep up with that way.

You can expect 20 questions that vary from super simple to those that require a bit more thought, so be prepared for anything!

Other than bragging rights, the player with the top score will receive a portrait of their Poptropican created by me if they would like it! 😁 Check out some of my artwork to see what you can look forward to. You’ll be able to choose between a more realistic style or a style akin to the OG Poptropica look.

I know some of you are longing for the next Tribal Tournament, so I figured it’d be a blast to play a competitive game together to help make that wait easier. Come join your fellow Poptropicans for a fun time and put your knowledge to the test! Remember, Sunday @2:30pm PST. (Use a time converter to find out what time it’ll be for you.) Howdy Poptropicans, welcome to Pop Protips — your guide to the PHB and the many awesome resources available to the Poptropica community. We’re kicking off this series especially with newer Poptropicans in mind, to share fun stuff you may not be familiar with.

For our first Pop Protip, we’ll be covering our Discord server, the Poptropica Help Chat! The PHC is a fun and safe environment to chat about all things Poptropica (and more) and is moderated at all times.

To keep the good vibes going, the PHC has a few rules, which include keeping things kid-friendly, being kind, and no spamming (other than in our spam channel). You must also be at least 13 years old to join, per Discord’s terms. Breaking these expectations may result in a ban.

Channels host different discussions so that they don’t get in the way of each other. You can find the list of channels to your left. The PHC includes lots of fun channels, including #🏡home-island for Poptropica and off-topica discourse, #🎨pop-art where fandom art is shared and admired, and more! A couple more highlights: the PHC includes tons of custom Poptropica emojis, from facial expressions to PHB staff to Ringmaster Raven as a cute birb! 🐦 You can also give yourself roles to display your Poptropica tribe and personalities based on iconic Pop characters.

Every once in a while, you might already know that the PHB is likely to throw a party — and that the PHC is a big part of the event, where we come together. (We might even have one coming soon. 😉)
