The PHBโ€™s Pop Carnival Birthday Collab ๐ŸŽ‚๐ŸŽช๐ŸŽจ

Welcome to the Poptropica Help Blog! My name is Gentle Dolphin, I’m your host, and I’m here to invite you to the most game-changing, art-making, BIRTHDAY-CELEBRATING artistic collaboration you’ve ever laid your eyes upon! The theme for our fourth annual Poptropica birthday art collab is… ๐Ÿฅ๐Ÿฅ๐Ÿฅ๐Ÿฅ๐Ÿฅ

๐ŸŽ†๐ŸŽชCARNIVAL๐Ÿคก๐ŸŽ†

Our previous birthday parties were sweet, nostalgic, and mysterious. It’s time to let loose and have some silly fun before Poptropica turns two decades old next year.๐Ÿ‘ด We’re asking you, Poptropica fans, to step right up and draw characters having some good old-fashioned fair fun! Make sure to read the rules before going on this ride:

๐Ÿง‘โ€๐ŸŽจDraw a character having fun at the carnival! They can be a canon Poptropica character, a Pop OC, or a character from another piece of media. Please save your drawing as a transparent .png image so it can be easily added to the collage. Here’s a picture of Gentle for an example, although she may not be having fun in this moment:

๐Ÿ–ผ๏ธUpload your image to the internet.ย Post your drawing to a website that supports transparent images such asย Imgur,ย Discord,ย DeviantArt, andย Twitter/X.ย You may send us a maximum of three images.

๐Ÿ’ปComment on this post with a link to your drawing. Copy and paste your image link to a comment on this very post so we can see it. Along with the link, please add your Poptropican name and/or one social media username that you want listed in the artist credits.

We will be accepting submissions until Tuesday, September 29th @ 11:59 pm EST, so don’t miss your chance to join. Per tradition, we’ll gather everyone’s art and put them into a colossal collage! We hope you can join us for Poptropica’s 19th birthday celebration, and let’s hope that won’t be like the last carnival to grace Poptropica. ๐ŸŽช

Thank you for reading, and have a good day!

Haxe Javascript

Message to all: the Fall Festival is here! ๐Ÿ‚๐ŸŽก

Come one, come all! Poptropica’s first Fall Festival is now open to all players! This limited time event includes thrilling attractions, collectible prizes, and plenty of autumnal joy!!!

The Fall Festival is only available on the Haxe version of the game. If you don’t have a Haxe account, you can either make a new account or use idk’s Format Loader and select “HTML5 (Haxe JS)” to switch to Haxe.

Once you log in, you can find the Fall Festival on the first page of your map, where the Zomberry Hero event used to be. On a side note, the mysterious envelope next to the Poptropica logo has disappeared. Where did it go? More on that later… ๐Ÿ‘€

The festival’s decorations take some influence from Monster Carnival Island, as seen with the Snack Shack and the heart-shaped tunnels. Th area itself is one big common room, so you can run around, talk to other players and challenge them in head-to-head games.

Speaking of games, you can find three arcade cabinets to the right of the festival. The three games availableโ€” High Dive, Bubble-Loons, and Star Linkโ€” are carnival-themed versions of three classic common room games: Sky Dive, Balloons, and (of course) Star Link.

After playing with some friends, check out the newest thrill ride: “The Swirly.” You may recall seeing this attraction in an Instagram teaser last month. Unfortunately, you can’t ride it as it is currently being occupied by other Poptropicans.

Anyway, jump to the hill next to “The Swirly”. You’ll find a scarecrow wearing a cozy outfit and holding a steamy beverage. Click on it to obtain the “Chill in the Air” outfit.

Every festival has to have a Ferris wheel, and this one is no different! It’s unfortunate that wheel doesn’t spin (they may have lost the transformer), though you can jump on the carts to get a view of your surroundings.

When you’re on the Ferris wheel, you can spot a shiny red lever on the Fall Festival sign. Pull this lever to unleash a storm of raining pumpkins! Don’t forget to bring your umbrellas and helmets!

Head to the hill on the left to see the winners of the butter sculpture contest. That cow sculpture looks friendly, so why not befriend it and have it become your Butter Cow Follower.

Looking at all of that butter is making me hungry. Jump down the hill and grab some cotton candy at the Snack Shack. Next to the shack, you can find a small plush bear sitting on a giant version of itself. This cuddly teddy is the perfect companion for fairgoers of all ages.

That was a tour of Poptropica’s first Fall Festival! It’s a pretty simple but fun event for players who want to hang out and enjoy the setting of a county fair. Who knows if this will become an annual thing? This is a limited time event, so don’t miss out on the fun!

Going back to that mysterious envelope, it seems to have moved from the Poptropica map to the player menu. Open your menu and click on said envelope to access the brand new messaging system.

This new messaging system will notify players of new updates and events in the game. The interface is similar to the cellphone on Paradise Island, which is what players used to check out new updates.

That’s all for now. Will you guys check out the Fall Festival? What do you think of the message system? Leave you thoughts in the comments below.

Thank you for reading, and have a good day!

Monster Carnival Island

The Mystery Revisited

Not everybody knows it by name, but a lot of long-time players know it very well. It’s a something.

It’s a forgotten something. It’s a wonderful something. It’s a curious something. It’s a spooky something. It’s a festive something. It’s a mysterious something. It’s aย whimsical something. It’s an amusing something. It’s a monsterous something.

It’s the carnival. Of monsters. Monster Carnival.ย Yup. A ringmaster to lead them all in a circus. It would’ve been dazzling! It would’ve been wonderous! It would’ve been all this…

… if it wasn’t taken off the map. (Okay, I’ll stop talking like a ringleader now.)

Monster Carnival had always been one of the greatest mysteries in Poptropica. It was an island that was put on the map back when Time Tangled (back then called Time Twisted) Island had a coming soon sign. I heard old tales of this mysterious island, although I never was a witness to the events. One day, Monster Carnival mysteriously vanished from the map, replaced by 24 Carrot Island. If you want to read more about this mystery, check out the PHB’s Mystery of Monster Carnival page!

However, Captain Crawfish made a curious post today about some old notes he found in his notebook:

One from the archivesย

Digging through my desk today, I found an old notebook. Inside I saw some long-forgotten ideas for a Poptropica Island.

This is probably from late 2007 or 2008, right after Poptropica got started. As we developed it a little more, the “Haunted Amusement Park” took on a slightly different form (and name), but it didn’t end up becoming a real Island.

You never know, I guess.

CAPTAIN CRAWFISH

The Creators seem to be recognizing that us Poptropica fans are curious about this never-released island, and now we know that the original title of this island, before Monster Carnival, was Haunted Amusement Park.

Also, there’s some interesting notes on here- the column on the left talks about some of the things that would’ve been in the island (both circus and amusement park related), and the right side seems to talk about other things, information.

“Ringmaster has cursed/enslaved zombie carnival workers.”

Is that a good or bad thing?ย To me, that doesn’t sound veryย good. ๐Ÿ˜

“Scare him into a cage? Make him eat cotton candy?”

“Horror-themed park infiltrated by real zombies.”

Wait… so Monster Carnival might have not started out as real monster-infiltrated? ๐Ÿ˜

“The ringmaster has lost prized possession and is withdrawn, moody. Prized possession is bullhorn.”

Wow. This is some pretty good information that the Creators slipped to us. And Captain Crawfish’s last words sound a little strange to me:

You never know, I guess.

That sounds… like… could it be? Could the Creators be taking a closer look at this? Could they have realized our true curiosity of Monster Carnival? Could, if even possible, it be that they might be planning to go back to it?

We’llย never know- until we know for sure.

BT out!
