Virus Hunter: Pandemic Panic! (Part 6 of 6 & Printable PDF)

The end, or only just the beginning? This last page of the Virus Hunter prequel story happens to be both. All we’re left with at the moment is a lone strand of Patient Zero’s hair and a Canadian coin…

The story continues in Virus Hunter Island, which will hopefully be out soon! In the meantime, if you need to catch up on the previous Pandemic Panic! comics, we’ve got them right here on this blog – part 1part 2part 3, part 4, part 5, and part 6.

[UPDATE] You can now view the entire Pandemic Panic! comic with the free printable PDF!

Take a deep breath if you’re brave enough to venture into some dimly-lit lungs…

It’s a crazy world inside the human body – are you ready for it?! 🙂

LEGO Poptropica

We DID it! (new code: DRHARE10000)

Hey guys, BT here with an awesome announcement!

Rejoice, because yesterday, the Dr. Hare’s Lair LEGO CUUSOO project finally hit 10,000 supporters!!!

cuusoo

As a thanks to us Poptropicans who helped support the project, Dr. Hare wrote the following:

Minions,

It’s been a long road, but at last we’ve done it. We’ve reached 10,000 supporters for our LEGO CUUSOO project!

Now, it’s up to our friends at LEGO to review the project and decide it’s something they want to move ahead with. We hope they do. If not, we still had a great time working on “Dr. Hare’s Lair,” and we enjoyed being able to share it with you.

Of course, we’ve got one more item to give away to thank everyone for their support. The Dr. Hare Light and Shadow Outfits are available now, absolutely free! All you need to do is log into your Poptropica account and enter the promo code DRHARE10000.

(Not sure how to redeem a code? Find out here.)

That about wraps it up! Thanks again for all your help. And keep an eye out for more exciting Poptropica announcements!

Yup, the DRHARE10000 code is now available! Not only is the goal reached and we get our prizes, we don’t have to worry about Dr. Hare nagging at us anymore… for now. Well, here’s the video that he also posted along with the post:

The Creators have done so much for us, and it was great of us to help return the favor by supporting this project.

BT out!

Virus Hunter: Pandemic Panic! (Part 5 of 6) & LEGO panic!

The penultimate page of the Pandemic Panic! comic is here! If you missed the previous parts, you can catch up from our previous posts. Here we see Dr. Lange finally realizing her deathly mistake…

Well, at least there’s still that last cup of maple syrup she can attempt to calm her nerves down with… assuming it’s not contaminated too, of course.

Also, the LEGO CUUSOO project Dr. Hare has gone on and on about since last winter is almost to its 10k goal, currently with 9,325+ supporters! A final prize has been promised for when we do get there:

So, let’s keep going! These Dr. Hare Light & Shadow outfits won’t be available until the 10,000 mark – so if you haven’t supported the project yet, be sure to cast your vote and earn the bragging right to say you helped with the project (which has gotten over 2 million views)! LEGO has closed comments on the project page on the grounds that “there were too many off-topic comments,” but, of course, you can still share your thoughts here on the PHB.

Virus Hunter: Pandemic Panic! (Part 4 of 6)

The latest installment of the Virus Hunter prequel story (part 4) is here! If you missed the earlier pages, you can see part 1, part 2, and part 3 on this blog or on the Creators’ Blog.

Wait, how did he even eat his snack with that blue mask covering his entire face? And, yeah, when you leave a jar of contained virus that happens to look like jam right out in the open… BAD THINGS HAPPEN. Looks like someone’s been drinking too much… (maple syrup, of course!)

In more picture-related news, I have a new Gravatar icon, a persona I made partially based on my Poptropican, so you’ll see that around the blog next to my name now. Also, as you may have noticed, earlier this week the PHB header was updated to include the Poptropicans of our current 8 staff members. Hope you like it!

What will happen in the last two pages of the Pandemic Panic! comic? Share your thoughts and predictions in the comments!

Contests, Merchandise, Virus Hunter Island

Australia, New Zealand, and the whole world of champions

For a long time, Poptropicans have always rushed to be among the first to complete a new island right when it came out, hoping to be listed as one of the top ten finishers on the Creators’ Blog. But 10 just doesn’t do everyone justice – which is why, starting with the coming-very-soon Virus Hunter Island, this tradition will be replaced with something bigger – a live player map!

Not only will you see the top 1000 finishers with this World Champions map, you’ll also be able to find where you rank among the many others before and after you and check out all the places in the world where the island has been played! It seems like it’s only available for Early Access players, though, meaning you’ll need to have membership before the island officially opens to everyone.

In other news, Poptropica Game Cards, previously only available in North America, are now purchasable in Australia and New Zealand exclusively at EB Games. For $10, you can get a month of membership with the card, but it’s worth noting that the same amount of membership time is only $3.95 if bought with a credit card. Still, if you’ve got a card, you can redeem it here.

Lastly, just a reminder that the big Create Your Dream Island Contest has begun (you’ll need a copy of the entry form)! If you want to have a higher chance of winning, check out this Creators’ Blog post which explains tips like a setting never done before, interesting time period, twist on a familiar tale, and no licensed properties. Good luck!
