Well, basically, the title sums up what I want to talk about 😛 Here we go!

1. Cannonballs

The Creators on Monday posted a what-should-be-familiar-to-Members scene from Vampire’s Curse!

"Look at that! Someone shot a cannonball through my roof!"

Must be some bad neighbors, huh? Unless it was you who shot that… *whistles awkwardly*

2. Comics

On Wednesday, the Creators did a reminder post about the comics in the Daily Pop.

Believe it or not, there was a time when the daily newspaper had pages and pages devoted to comic strips. I know what you’re thinking: “What’s a daily newspaper?”

Used to be that somebody brought a stack of folded papers to your house every day early in the morning, which had all this information about news and sports and things that had already happened, and to read it you had to turn the pages instead of swiping a screen, and — well, it’s not important.

Anyway, we at Poptropica still think that the funny pages are worth your time and attention. That’s why, for some time now, we’ve been publishing some of the very best comic strips in the Daily Pop.

Make sure to check it out (again)! My personal favorite is Peanuts! 😀

3. Dryads

What you might be thinking: ” What dryads?”

What I’m saying: The ones that are involved in the new island in some way! On Thursday, the Creators posted up a picture of this unique creature:

How do you know it’s a dryad? Look at the original link, and it says dryad in the link! So what do you think this little guy has to do in the plot? Leave your suggestions in the comments!!

4. Vespers!

Who’s familiar with The 39 Clues series? It’s a brother(Dan) and sister (Amy) who discover that they are part of the biggest family of history with a secret! They go around the world in search of the 39 clues, which, when mixed together, uncover a treasure! The series went up to 11 books, with a companion book. Now, in this sequel series, Cahills vs. Vespers, six of their own have been kidnapped, and it’s up to Amy and Dan to rescue them by doing tasks for a mysterious fellow known as Vesper 1. The card that you will receive is about the 3rd installment of this series: The Dead of Night! I highly suggest that you read it! I myself will be getting it on Saturday! 😛

5. Ads

A new ad has stopped by the Poptropica world! Goldfish: Team Xtreme!

Basically, what you do is shoot hoops, and at the end you get a basketball!

Another ad is also on Poptropica called Dizzy Dancers (credit to Scary Catfish for the info and pic!)

"All you need to do to complete the ad is walk in and click the photo booth. This will take you to an area where you can design your own Dizzy Dancer. After you finish designing it, you receive two items… A “Dragaloo Follower” (What a lovely name…) and Dizzy Dancer hair for your Poptropican. A sign inside the ad says that you can come back March 19 for a special quest.." ~ Scary Catfish

March 19? Don’t they usually put the quest in when they put the ad in? Hmm…

Also, there’s some new things in the store for St. Patricks day coming this Saturday! They are a leprechaun costume and Shamrock Gum! (Thanks Lewis for the info and Flamez for the Goldfish and store item pics!)

In case you’ve been hiding out and avoiding the sunlight, Vampire’s Curse Island is OUT! Non-members get a demo, and Members get a special bonus quest! They added in two extras for all. First, they gave us a Vamp Curse wallpaper!

And second of all, a free downloadable poster! 😀 Link is below, because it’s too big to post here:

They also updated the homepage with vampire fangs! Also included below are Vamp Curse related ads. (Thanks Flamez!)

Some changes on VI that I need to note: There’s rain and thunder, with SOUND! 😮 The whole island will be released to all on 3/22/12! The demo ends when you attempt to get into the castle.

Have you heard that Poptropica is now at Applebee’s?

Now, when your family dines at your neighborhood Applebee’s restaurant, you’ll get a Poptropica activity book full of games and puzzles starring your favorite Poptropica characters.

These activity books will be there until May 7 in North America! So go persuade your parents to eat at Applebee’s today! 🙂

Looks like the PHB hasn’t been updated for a while, so here’s a Mega-Post of all the updates for this week! 😀

1 Cactus…von…Garlic?

First update on the blog, on Tuesday, was about a character that you might possibly meet on Vampire’s Curse! And his name is Cactus von Garlic?

Bow, garlic, sullen stare…. Could he be a vamp hunter? 😮 Let’s see! And look at that metal “necklace” thing!

2. Picture Perfect!

A new update that the Creators have been working on has been previewed on Wednesday! It appears to be something like a photo booth or editor. What do you think?

It shows a scene from Astro Knights with a caption, and there are some clothing and trash icons in the corner! What’s your opinion on this feature? They’ll be releasing details soon!

3. Oxygen Rich!

An edition of Poptropica Tips and Tricks was released on Thursday! It’s about having more oxygen the second time around on SOS Island!

One problem: The diving suit is only if you play through the Bonus Quest, which is only for members. Anyway, if you wear it, you get more oxygen! You could even play a tune on the piano! 😀

4. Countdown and Map Changes

An official release date for members has been set for Vampire’s Curse! It comes in about 5 days, so that would be… either February 29 or March 1st (depending on your time zone and where you live)!

Also, some changes have been made to the Poptropica map! Gray Wolf/Tough Hawk first notified us through the comments! Looks like the map has turned into a book! The islands are arranged in order by release date from bottom to top. Thanks Flamez and Alice for the map and countdown pictures!

Well, anyways, pixies or sprites or dryads or fairies or whatever you want to call them are now appearing in the Daily Pop. Is it from the same island?
The description reads: Have a Sprite: Could one of these dryads be coming to Poptropica?
Well. We’ll just have to wait and see…

Wolves In Cabins In Cages With Magicians

I decided to post about a very special and informative feature on Poptropica often neglected on this blog – Daily Pop’s Sneak Peeks! As I roamed, I screenshot five of some very interesting photos that looks like they need to be shared and could probably tell a lot about what to expect out of our favorite virtual game in 2012. Herrrreee weee go!

Behind Bars - Something here might hold the key to an entire adventure.

If you look very closely at the photo, you could see a golden key.

CC: *smacks MT behind his head* Of course, ignoramus! It’s very obvious.

MT: *rubs back of head* I was just trying to be helpful and informative – wait, where’d you even come from?

This could – obviously – be the start of an adventure. So, if a future island comes along and mentions various hints about a certain key *wink, wink*, remember this photo!

Escape Artist - This cage is impregnable, whether you want to get out or in.

MT: *puts on football helmet and protective gear* Okay, I’m ready.

CC: *rolls eyes*

This beautifully designed photo contains a Poptropican disguised in a Magician costume ( which happens to be available in the Poptropica Store for 75 Credits ;D ) trapped in a cage with a lock on it. Be warned, Poptropicans! You may get captured in the near future! Be careful and limit who you trust – especially Captains.

Hot Tickets - You don't get a first-run theater out here in the boonies.

I think I might be both excited and scared for a creepy island. The scariest part about this picture, I must say, is the Twilight poster. It gives me the shivers, man!  Back on topic, if you have no idea what boonies is, it basically means the middle of nowhere. Does this mean an abandoned island with magicians, keys, and cages? And do I see an iPhone? Oh wait, there’s more..

Hungry Like The Wolf - How a real wolf might become Poptropicanized.

I probably won’t be able to sleep tonight due to that hungry face the wolf is making towards me. If you thought the artists on Poptropica can’t draw because you think they actually draw people like that, you’re wrong! Very funny how my current Poptropican’s name is Happy Wolf, though these wolves do not look very happy. Does this mean an abandoned island with cages, keys, magicians, AND wolves? The only thing bad about this so far is Twilight. Don’t worry, it gets better..

A Cabin In The Woods - What a peaceful place to live. We hope.

Creators, I have no idea what’s peaceful about a moderately-beautiful cabin mysteriously vacant in the middle of nowhere. When they said that they hoped it would be peaceful, I got startled by the house – just like how I apparently get startled by everything.

CC: *sneaks up behind MT* Boo!

MT: *jumps high in the air, hangs by chandelier* That wasn’t funny! D:

I really need to wrap this up before I lose my cool. *breathes* You might be wondering, How could it NOT be peaceful? I mean it’s moderately-beautiful! Not that many people have cabins! There’s a crucifix on the door! And it looks very nice in the Winter! Your eyes could deceive you, especially on these islands. The Creators sure are tricky and they’ll just keep you guessing!

I hope you enjoyed this fun-to-make, carefully-typed post! Now if you’ll excuse me, I have to go fight a certain man by the name of Captain Crawfish!
