Poptropican Portraits: details for the season 1 finale livestream

Hi Gs,

As stated recently, I’m going to be hosting a livestream as a finale for season 1 of Poptropican Portraits — and the details are decided! This event also coincides with the PHB’s Poptropica party this Saturday for our recent milestone of 12 million hits, so we hope you can make it for a couple hours of fun on the PHC, Poptropica, and Google+! 😀

The livestream and Poptropica party will be on the 14th of June (3 days from now), and will start at 4pm EST, ending at 6pm EST. The reason for the extra hour is because this livestream will be a little different than the rest — I’m going to be drawing 4 of the creators in real life as Poptropicans!

As for special guests, yes there will be two of them. Because I’m not going to be drawing Poptropicans from the community, there’s no username form, but you can vote below to choose the 4 Poptropica Creators you want to be seen drawn! You’ll find the livestream here when the time comes. 😛

Again, this will be happening along with the PHB’s Poptropica party for our dozen million hits, so come out to watch the Poptropican Portraits livestream on Google+ as well as chat with Poptropicans on the PHC and hang out in Multiverse rooms!

It’s been a long ride… is it coming to an end? Or is it just taking a break? Read on for more… Also, I have about four more portraits to do, so keep an eye out for those on the post soon. 🙂

I hope everyone is satisfied with their portrait! 😀 If you don’t see yours in there, just tell me in the comments. Rumors have been going around that I’m quitting Poptropican Portraits, and I sorta halfway am. For the summer. Season 1 of Poptropican Portraits is now complete with 100 portraits and over 100 fans. Thanks for having me draw your Poptropican — I apologize for being so lazy at times. 😉

So, what are you going to do to finish the season? Have a live stream, of course! This one will be special, however, where I try to draw multiple Creators’ real life faces in a Poptropican form! (And I wouldn’t mind if a creator or two popped up during the live stream 😛 ) The details are undecided, but lookout for info in the next couple weeks!

How to Save Your Poptropican Portrait

  • You might not have known this, but if your click on the portrait in the gallery, it will maximize and you can see/save it in full quality.
  • After you right click on the maximized portrait and click “Save image as…”, save it to a folder in your computer.
  • You can then go to the Gravatar website and sign in with your WordPress account.
  • Add the photo to your Gravatar, and your done! A high quality perfectly shaped portrait! 😛

Hey everyone! Remember when the Creators announced last week the fourth runner-up for the CYDI (Create Your Dream Island) contest – House of Cards Island? Well, actually, the person who made it saw our PHB post and sent us a more in-depth look at the island he invented that won him a prize of all the Poptropica books! (Just to clarify: This is not going to be a real island, as it was just a runner-up in the contest.)

Joel (Giant Foot) – the island’s inventor – commented on my post talking about his island. I asked him to email me the plot, its characters, and more miscellaneous info about House of Cards, and here’s what he shared. Thanks Joel! Click Read More to read on!

I’m going to disappear from the community for a while, as some big tests in school are coming up in a couple weeks. During those two weeks, I won’t be active on the blog, and won’t really have time for email either — so remember that when I don’t respond.

After about two weeks, I’m going to release the long-awaited Poptropican Portraits Round 9 (Poptropican Portraits are ancient relics 😛 )!  Anyway, just wanted to let you guys know, so it doesn’t take you by surprise. 😉

APRIL FOOL’S, gamers and Mocktropicans!

In case you hadn’t guessed – rest assured, yesterday’s “Mega Fighting Bots Help Blog” tomfoolery was all part of an April Fool’s prank thrown together by the PHB team. Did we fool you? :mrgreen:

MFB April Fools

We loved Gamer Guy on the Creators’ Blog and decided to bring a taste of his atrocious spelling and grammar (not to mention his obsession with Mocktropica’s Mega Fighting Bots) over here to the PHB, and what better way than on the Day of Jokes? 😀

So in addition to a typo-ridden post, the comments section of said post was also flooded with both Mocktropicans standing by Poptropica’s side, as well as elite gamers espousing their favorite game, which of course can only be Mega Fighting Bots. I mean, kicking bots all day long? That’s the dream!

Several of the PHB authors were commenting as “Gamer Guy”, and we did our best to answer most of your comments, which we hope kept you entertained! 😆 Also, Blake made a post encouraging Gamer Guy’s arrival and admonishing all the haters, because, well, GG may have offended a few n00bs.

Plus, we’re not sure how many of you noticed, but we also fixed up a brand-new About page (as mentioned in GG’s post) to introduce ourselves as pro gamers (check it out!). 😉 And did you see Gamer Guy’s Gravatar profile?

And as you probably saw, we added a header for the MFBHB, changed to an MFB background, and turned the theme color gold to match it. Did you like the change? Not to worry, we’ve reverted back to the regular PHB graphics and are back to typing with proper grammar. 😛

We hope the prank didn’t scare you too badly!
