Good morning/afternoon/evening/night, fellow Poptropicans.

Here goes another PHB post informing you on the first island of 2012 – S.O.S. Island ( ironic, huh? ).

With S.O.S. Island on the way, we thought we’d share a cool new thing we’re working on for this Island. We’ve had water on many islands before, but we’ve never before had water this wavy, or water that allows you to dive and resurface as you’ll be able to do in the flooding corridors of the good ship Pequod.

Here’s a little look:

Surviving this shipwreck is going to take a lot of courage — not to mention a lot of air in your lungs! S.O.S. Island is coming soon.

This tells us that we’ll be able to swim for the first time and it’s coming very soon! Prepare yourself for a shipwreck in this island, Poptropicans! Because it’s coming soon.

Thanks again, Creators. We’re hooked!

SOS! SOS! The trailer has arrived!! 😀

This video shows some scenes in SOS Island! One of the scenes shown is the sinking ship! It’s not quite sunken yet! Another scene is the emergency control room and someone asking you if there are any survivors! The last scene shown is of the character swimming down in the depths of the ocean blue encountering an anchor! Looks exciting! 😀 Release date and more to follow!

Here’s another picture of Dr. Hare! Have you guessed where he is yet? If you haven’t guessed yet, he’s at the Harvard Museum of Natural History in Cambridge, Massachusetts! 😀 This place looks cool! I’d like to visit this someday. Wouldn’t you? 🙂

Happy New Year!

And we are back! We hope you all had a wonderful holiday and are ready for a terrific 2012. We’ll do our part to make sure it’s a great new year. To start it off right, we’ll have some exciting new details about S.O.S. Island… well, just a few days from now.

Another new island? But they just released Ghost Story! 😮 Well, then, here’s the new island! All those pictures on the Daily Pop is from this one! Looks like it’s called…

When a whale-watching expedition strikes an iceberg, a pleasure cruise becomes a disaster scene. As the ship sinks deeper and deeper into the frigid waters of the North Atlantic, can you rescue everyone onboard before it’s too late?

SOS Island looks like it’s Titanic based. In the 1900’s the makers boasted that the Titanic was unsinkable. While on a voyage, they struck an iceberg and sank. Many people died in this tradegy.

Now the title is based of an Owl City song, which was written because of the Titanic tragedy. Listen to it on Youtube! 🙂

Following the release of Ghost Story Island, the members of Poptropica are now faced with a new challenge, with new items, stories, and excitement! Those who are need it can now use the PHB for help, because our Ghost Story Island Info page has just been updated with a written Guide with pictures by Brave Tomato, as well as a Video playlist on our Poptropica Help Videos page.
