Fanfic: The Chronicles of Friendly Thunder 🌩️ Chapter 4

Hey Poptropicans, this is a guest post by Serious Heart. Enjoy!

Hi! Serious Heart here. It’s been a while, but let’s get back into The Chronicles of Friendly Thunder! Catch up on the last chapter here.

NARRATOR:
It’s been a while since we last saw Friendly Thunder, hasn’t it? Anyway, last time we saw him, he was sailing away from 24 Carrot on a blimp, heading off into an adventure. While most residents of Poptropica are still having lunch, the crew are trying to decide which island to go to next…

FRIENDLY THUNDER:
We should totally go to Astro-Knights!

ICY SNAKE:
No, we should go to Counterfeit!

PURPLE CLAW (speaking up for the first time):
Maybe we should go to Timmy Failure! It’s got a fun name, and it can’t be all that bad!

NARRATOR:
They head to Timmy Failure Island. It takes a while, considering the huge gap between 24 Carrot and Timmy Failure, but they get there.

FRIENDLY THUNDER:
Wait, why are we all covered in… smelly trash?

ICY SNAKE:
Beats me. Hey, look there’s a girl, and Timmy, and… a polar bear eating garbage? What the heck?

TIMMY FAILURE (pointing at the girl):
At last, I have proof of your misdeeds, you nefarious huckster!

CORRINA CORRINA:
What are you talking about? I was trying to help you!

TIMMY FAILURE:
Save it for the magistrate. You’ll be in shackles for the rest of your natural life!

CORRINA CORRINA:
I don’t have time for this. Good luck washing off the garbage stink.

NARRATOR:
Corrina Corrina runs off to wash off the stink.

TIMMY FAILURE (turns to look at the trio):
Joke’s on her. Garbage stink is the ideal olfactory camouflage.

That’s it! I really wanted to end this particular chapter on a comedic note. And it’s been a while since I’ve said it, but…

अच्छे समय के लिए चीयर्स,
Serious Heart

Fanfic: Zombies, Zombies, ALWAYS ZOMBIES! 🧟 Ep. 13: Monkeying Around

Hey Poptropicans, this is a guest post by Magic Kid. Enjoy!

Hello! I’m alive! I hope you guys have had a good month. I’ve been slacking and doing absolutely nothing productive working tirelessly on this episode! (Catch the last episode here, or first episode here.)

I dunno if any of you guys are superstitious, but with this episode being the 13th, I can’t help but wonder what misfortune will befall Jazzy Hawk, Icy Stone, and Birdy on Monkey Wrench Island as they plan a way to save Witty Toothpick on a mysterious island far out to sea. With Poptropica in such an apocalyptic state, what could go wrong?

Hut and Stuff: Quit your jibber jabber.

ZOMBIES, ZOMBIES, ALWAYS ZOMBIES!

A Zomberry Series

Episode Thirteen: Monkeying Around

Hawk, Stone, and Birdy were standing on a jungle island. The pirate ship that had saved them was flying away, leaving the three to an uncertain fate.

It was extremely late in the evening, so late in fact that the sky was lightening up as morning was coming upon them. They were exhausted after an exciting day, and a long night, who wouldn’t be?

But they couldn’t stop. It was like an invisible clock was ticking, and they had to save Toothpick before the time was up.

From the place where they had been dropped off, they already saw a bunch of rope, rusty gears, and other tools. What they had to do was to find the guy on the island, and see if he could help.

Hawk

Come on! Crusoe should just be over here!

Birdy

Okay.

Stone

Crusoe, isn’t that the guy who was marooned on this island and has monkey friends? Sounds like great help!

Hawk

He should be! Hopefully…

Bringing Mighty Action Force cards to life: Astro-Knights Edition 🪐🃏

Hey Poptropicans, this is a guest post by Invisible Ring. Enjoy!

Hey there, everyone! Did you enjoy my Mighty Action Force card game kit and my story of bringing it to life? Well, that was just the beginning…

BEHOLD, a new Mighty Action Force card game kit… or should I say, Astro-Knights inspired booster pack. This “Astro Force” game kit is completely interchangeable with the original Mighty Action Force game kit, so don’t hesitate to mix and match the Mighty Action Force fun by printing and playing with these cards in real life, too!

How did this come to be, you might ask? Well, there I was, back in the fall of 2020, minding my own business, making my own cards, and playing Mighty Action Force, when an unsuspecting post from the Poptropica Help Blog crossed my path: a Ramble Review on Astro-Knights Island.

This post, and everyone sharing it at the time, was yearning for Astro-Knights to be more than just an island. They said it had serious potential for movies, TV shows… or, as I thought, potential for some shiny new Mighty Action Force cards.

And although this is just one Poptropican’s opinion, I’d say that the Astro-Knights are finally living up to their potential now. Don’t forget to have a laugh with the Mighty Action Force video outtakes, too:

TTFN: Ta-ta for now!

Fanfic: Zombies, Zombies, ALWAYS ZOMBIES! 🧟 Ep. 12: Let’s Do This!

Hey Poptropicans, this is a guest post by Magic Kid. Enjoy!

Hi there! I’ve finally written the next episode in Zombies, Zombies, ALWAYS ZOMBIES! (Catch the previous episode, or start from the beginning.)

Last time we ended with poor innocent Toothpick being left to a mysterious and dangerous helicopter, with an unknown fate. The other three, Hawk, Birdy and Stone, got saved by a flying pirate ship, captained by three kids (yes, it’s cameo time, baby! 😀) and will now decide what to do next. Should they go back to try to save Pick, or stay with the trio in questionable safety? Let’s find out…

Sack Lunch: Don’t forget to pack the produce.

ZOMBIES, ZOMBIES, ALWAYS ZOMBIES!

A Zomberry Series

Episode Twelve: Let’s Do This!

The flying pirate ship was soaring through the cool night sky, gently parting past fluffy, cotton-like clouds and over the damp gray ones. After all the tension and thrill of the previous events, Stone, Hawk, and Birdy felt somewhat dejected and dismal. Even though they were quite high up in the air, they couldn’t have felt more down.

They needed to get back to Pick. They couldn’t just leave him behind to the zombies, and to whatever was going on with that helicopter.

Maybe the helicopter would help Pick, Birdy thought, but somehow the thought of that strange helicopter made the three surviving friends even more concerned.

Hawk leaned against the side of the ship, and looked down, down, down. It was night, so he could hardly see the sea below, save the shine from the waxing gibbous moon.

Stone was walking in circles on the other side of the ship. After a few circles she almost tripped over something. She bent down to pick it up.

Stone

What is this—oh.

Bringing Mighty Action Force to life 💥🃏

Hey Poptropicans, this is a guest post by Invisible Ring. Enjoy!

Welcome back, Poptropicans! As my new Future Machine News show states, the grave silence on Poptropica’s official blog has kept all of my new guest posts from coming in, including this one.

Upon completing that news show, I saw this Pop Petition on the PHB about Mighty Action Force trading cards, and decided that enough was enough. Here is my all-time most important guest post, and your long-overdue gift that’s sure to hit the charts here on the PHB. Enjoy!

It’s anyone’s guess as to whether I’m a pirate still on a major motion quest, an average visitor at PoptropiCon, or just lost.

Perhaps I’m all of the above.

It all started when I quested across Poptropica to keep making my movie. I wound up in PoptropiCon while it was in full swing, so I blended right in.

…And then I got lost in the hallway awhile. It was excruciating! Dozens of others got lost in there, too, so it was very NOISY for a pirate with hypersensitive ears. You’ve got mech pilots and aliens and wizards complaining about this maze of identical halls making them miss the convention’s events. And others still, complaining that they’re hungry, thirsty, and tired. There was even chatter of wanting a PoptropiCon map and a functional drink machine.

But among the ruckus, I heard an alien say:

“Wish I had one of those card games to pass the time.”

The Mighty Action Force card game… That gave me something to think about.

When I finally made it out of the halls and into the tech lounge, I took a rest break and thought long and hard about it.

For years I’ve visited this place. More than any other Poptropica island I’ve ever been to! I challenged every player there I could, countless times, from the easy-going hippy player, to the challenging hallway player, to the super-challenging high-tech player.

I loved playing the Mighty Action Force game so much that I wanted to play it outside of PoptropiCon. How would I do that? I’d make my OWN Mighty Action Force game. So from the summer of 2016 to the summer of 2020, I built my own private game box with Mighty Action Force cards and game boards and everything.

…Boy, was that fun. But today, as I met all these Mighty Action Force fans once again, I realized there must be so many others who want to play Mighty Action Force anytime, anywhere. I once thought that marketing the game was a must, but after all the archives I researched from the Poptropica Creators’ Blog, I realized the one sure way to go…

Downloadable PDFs. And unlike most kids, I’m no tech wizard. But I’ve learned enough about computers by now to know how to make these PDFs. And with all my practice back in the day building my own game set from the ground up, I had EXACTLY the skills I needed to make it all happen, just as sure as I was that THIS would be the groundbreaking news hit of the year. So now that you have the story, I won’t make you wait any longer.

Behold! 💥 The ULTIMATE Mighty Action Force printable Game Kit PDF. 💥 And it only took me 3 months to put it together!

No joke, everyone. This is for real. And to prove it, here are two videos I made to go with the game. The first video demonstrates how to construct your own game board:

And the second video demonstrates how to play the game. True, you can always learn how to play on PoptropiCon Island, but PoptropiCon isn’t gonna last forever. So, you’ve got both videos.

That’s a lotta work for one happy camper in a pirate outfit! But it doesn’t end there. My original goal was to press on with my pirate movie, now summed up in this new pirate movie trailer. Mission accomplished!

Wow… to think about it all: seven years of PoptropiCon playtime and projects, all wrapped up into this one tremendous tale! Thank you all for reading, and you’re welcome for the grand game kit and videos. PoptropiCon Pirate out. PEACE!
