Hey Poptropicans, this is a guest post by Magic Kid. Enjoy!
Hi there! I’ve finally written the next episode in Zombies, Zombies, ALWAYS ZOMBIES! (Catch the previous episode, or start from the beginning.)
Last time we ended with poor innocent Toothpick being left to a mysterious and dangerous helicopter, with an unknown fate. The other three, Hawk, Birdy and Stone, got saved by a flying pirate ship, captained by three kids (yes, it’s cameo time, baby! 😀) and will now decide what to do next. Should they go back to try to save Pick, or stay with the trio in questionable safety? Let’s find out…
ZOMBIES, ZOMBIES, ALWAYS ZOMBIES!
A Zomberry Series
Episode Twelve: Let’s Do This!
The flying pirate ship was soaring through the cool night sky, gently parting past fluffy, cotton-like clouds and over the damp gray ones. After all the tension and thrill of the previous events, Stone, Hawk, and Birdy felt somewhat dejected and dismal. Even though they were quite high up in the air, they couldn’t have felt more down.
They needed to get back to Pick. They couldn’t just leave him behind to the zombies, and to whatever was going on with that helicopter.
Maybe the helicopter would help Pick, Birdy thought, but somehow the thought of that strange helicopter made the three surviving friends even more concerned.
Hawk leaned against the side of the ship, and looked down, down, down. It was night, so he could hardly see the sea below, save the shine from the waxing gibbous moon.
Stone was walking in circles on the other side of the ship. After a few circles she almost tripped over something. She bent down to pick it up.
Stone
What is this—oh.
It was Pick’s backpack. He should have left it behind, Stone thought bitterly. But she rested it gently on the mast.
Fast Lizard
We should be back at base in a few minutes! Uh, do you have a place you want us to drop you off at or do you want to chill at our fort for a bit?
It was THE question. THE choice. Should Hawk and the others risk everything to try to save their friend, or stay safely in a base with fellow survivors? With a glance and a shake of head from Birdy and Stone, Hawk concluded that they would go to an island with lots of tools and stuff so they figure out where the heck Pick was. Their friend was more important than their comfort.
Hawk
Is it okay if you could drop us off at Monkey Wrench?
The pilot
‘Course we can! Do you need anything? Face paint, some tools, do you have a way to travel?
Hawk
Monkey Wrench has enough stuff there I think for us, thank you though.
Dragon
Of course!
The pilot shook her head and adjusted the wheel. The ship was gradually heading downwards.
Dragon and Lizard bickered over an unopened bag of chips, and eventually tore the bag apart.
Birdy was still leaning on the edge of the ship and Stone was talking to the pilot.
Hawk had the strangest feeling that he had seen these three kids before.
Dragon started scratching his cheek and some of the blue face paint faded away.
The pilot
Yo! Don’t take off your face paint until we’re back at base!
Dragon
It’s itchy though!
The pilot
Oh I’m SO SORRY that we couldn’t find another kind of face paint on Goofball when the zombies raided the place!
Then Hawk remembered where he had seen these three before.
Hawk
Hey! Were you guys at the Goofball Island City Hall when they were rounding up everyone?
Pilot
Oh, yeah, that was fun! Well, until the zombies raided the place.
Birdy nodded. She remembered the three kids too.
Birdy hadn’t said anything since they left Time Tangled Island, and she remained silent, but Hawk continued the conversation.
Hawk
Cool! So, so you guys are still around?
Lizard
Heck, yeah! We ain’t gonna let those mindless things take us out!
Pilot
The zombies are the easy part of the apocalypse! It’s the drones you gotta look out for!
Hawk
Drones?
Pilot
Drones, yeah! These white circular drones that spy everywhere! Have you seen any?
Hawk
Uh, not that I can think of…
Dragon
Well the drones are the brains, and the zombies are the muscles!
Lizard
It’s not the zombies you gotta particularly be avoiding, ‘cause they can be fooled with face paint and chalk in your hair!
Stone
So, Hawk, your theory of something bigger than just the zombies—!
Hawk
It’s probably true! There’s probably some villain in a secret base, plotting their domination over Poptropica!
Dragon
But why? Why would anyone want to do that?
The pilot flicked Dragon’s ear.
Pilot
Clichéd villain reasons! Obviously!
Monkey Wrench is just over here…
Are you sure you guys don’t want to go back to our base?
Stone
Yep. Thanks for the lift and stuff…
The pirate ship was lowered, its engine making a loud clanking sound.
Hawk picked up Pick’s backpack and slung it over his shoulder. The night sky was dark enough so they had to be weary when stepping out of the ship, but lit enough by the moon so they could find their way alright.
Hawk
Birdy, come on!
Birdy hopped off the blimp too.
Hawk
Thanks again!
Pilot
‘Course! Best of luck to you guys!
Stone
Yeah, thanks! Goodbye!
They waved as the pirate ship went higher and higher into the sky, soon disappearing into the darkness.
The three were left alone. And if they were going to save their friend, they had to get working.
Birdy
Let’s do this!

Oh, so Monkey Wrench’s here…that means:
1. They’re probably going to meet the Baroness and/or Amelia (i wonder where is that pirate ship from);
2. They are old (i mean, most of the greatest fanfics here are telling stories in Flash….:)
