It’s time for a Poptropica popularity contest! As requested through this guest post by Smart Icicle, share your favorite non-Poptropican creatures from the game in the comments, and we’ll see who comes out on top.
Hello! This is Smart Icicle. Now you may have recognized me from my poll on favorite villains (and its Pop 5 follow-up) or from a post on cultural connections of a famous Poptropica villain, Captain Crawfish.
This time, the focus is not on any villains, heroes, or islands.. it is going to be on animals. Allow me to ask a question: who is your favorite creature from Poptropica? Since there have been so many, instead of doing a poll, I’m asking everyone to share your faves in the comments of this post. To get you thinking, here are a few of mine:
Mother Phoenix (Astro-Knights Island) 
Dryad (Twisted Thicket Island) 
Jersey Devil (Cryptids Island) — known as the scariest to players! 
Cerberus (Mythology Island) 
Hydra (Mythology Island)

True, although in the end you kind of (sadly) turn him into a creature, ’cause he thinks he’s a chicken, but yes, he’s not actually a creature.
Don’t worry Dangerous Dragon, it’s counted. Whoever picks a poptropican from the creature list will be counted under “Favorite Poptropican” category. Only one poptropican will be picked for the section. (Whichever Poptropican has the most votes).

If you went in the common room of Arabian Nights 2, the camel is in the common room, on a giant cushion.
The camel is so cute!!!!! The only reason why I didn’t choose it is because it’s SUPER stubborn.

Wait, if the thieves wanted the camel for some evil plot (I assume), then how did the camel get in the common room? Hmmm… very suspicious… 🤨
My theories: The camel was a god and was forcing everyone to treat it kindly, the thieves were kind enough to be nice to it, or it was wearing the camo suit from Spy island and was hiding. If the third one is correct, then somehow, only we could see it.🤔

I LOVE the Sphinx from Mythology Island. She’s my favorite creature.
My votes are for the Nøkken (big surprise there), Sprocket, Merlin, the werewolf from Vampire’s Curse, the Mythology sphinx, the Dragotank, and lastly Fluffy from Spy Island.

Elmer the Horse from Wild West Island. TBH he may be my favorite Poptropica character just in general. If you ever watch a walk through of Wild West Island, it’s like he was animated to have a personality when he moves. The horse literally smiles when he’s running yet looks super annoyed if he’s reduced to a simple trot. Feisty! I really hope they bring him back.
P.S. You could say he’s a “free SPIRIT”!

I love Elmer so much! I have a horse in real life, named Wrangler, so I just kept accidentally calling Elmer “Wrangler”. 😄
It was so much fun riding him! I always wished there would be an island where you got to ride a horse!

It’s this movie that’s coming out. I haven’t watched it, but I think it’s about a horse named Spirit. I don’t watch much TV either.😛

The movie is “Spirit: Stallion of Cimarron.” Dreamworks made it back in 2002. It has some sweet music by Bryan Adams in it. One song, “Get Off My Back” literally makes me think of that mini game where you have to tame Elmer.

I’ve never known why, but how come the Jersey Devil is abnormally creepy? It literally scarred me for life. When I did that part, I almost had a heart attack, and I knew it was coming!
