Hey Poptropicans, it’s Slanted Fish! 🐠 If you’ve been checking the Poptropica Creators’ Blog lately, you may have seen my first guest post shared there this week. And if it’s your first time here, perhaps because of that post: welcome! Here on the PHB, we’re all about Poptropica. 😄
You can see the post for yourself over on the official Pop blog, but it’s basically about creating your own Popsona, or Poptropica persona for your game character. It’s a fun activity that’s been part of the fandom for years, and you can find even more Popsonas from the PHB team here.
Of course, the PHB is a big part of Slanted Fish’s Popsona story, so I had to include it in there as well — and am grateful that the Creators included a link here, to the “Poptropica fan publication known as the Poptropica Help Blog.” Still, the PHB is bigger than just my story — it includes all of you who read it and follow along with us! 📰🏝

Here’s my popsona:
Young, wide-eyed Icy Crown was born and raised in Survival, so she was very used to the cold! Eventually when she grew up, she decided to escape the cold and traveled to Arabian Nights, and to the Wild West. She still to this day follows back to her roots and enjoys revisiting her homeland! (Even though she at this point knows every inch of the place!) ❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️ She’s thought many times of changing her name, maybe. But she just can’t get over the thought of ditching her icy oasis 💞.
Cool Popsona! (literally too ❄️) I like how the name matches her island identity. She might consider a new nickname for when she’s on the desert islands!

Wow, what a throwback! Looks like not much has changed. I am still an INFJ-T, plan to be a veterinarian (two more years to go until vet school, hopefully), and enjoy reading and playing video games. I have to say, I wish I had a private island of pets like my Popsona.

Here’s my popsona from an au!:
Name: Noisy Snowball, but called Snowy for short.
Home Island: None!
Snowy lives in a word where Poptropica is a computer game, and was always a fan of it when it launched, and always wanted to work there, especially after making her own island called Opposites Island. When she graduated from a random university, she applied for a job, and got it! She became one of the best employees because of her skills and creativity. However, one day, people from Mega Fighting Bots.com tried shutting Poptropica down, but she managed to stop them. Thinking that this was over, she noticed one if the villains called “Slash” hiding in alley way. Slash told her that she wanted to do harmless evil things, not the stuff that happened in the headquarters. Snowy helped her get a job, and they worked on Mocktropica island which was inspired by the attack, making them good friends. But their adventures are only just beginning.
(I know Slash is from Mocktropica island, but I changed her for this au a bit.)
