Catch up with Poptropica’s comic strip 📰💥

Hey Poptropicans—did you know that Poptropica has its own comic strip? It’s true, and now, you can catch up with most of the series here!

In these comics, two young heroes, Oliver and Jorge, get thrown into the foreign world of Poptropica and have to survive as they hop from island to island full of silly and unpredictable challenges. You might recognize these boys from the Poptropica graphic novel series, which actually came out after the comic strips did. Both were illustrated by Kory Merritt, and the comics were written by Paul Gilligan.

Poptropica’s comic strips ran daily for a period of time from 2014–2016 and were available on various online platforms. These days, though, they’re harder to find. Fortunately, one super-fan recently put together all the comics so the rest of us can enjoy them without much digging.

Thanks to weeks of searching and piecing by Invisible Ring, the Poptropica comics are now available on Google Slides, with Part 1/2 starting from the beginning (as the above strips show) and Part 2/2 picking up from where the first part left off. There are over 300 strips in total, so settle in for a nice leisurely read! ☕️📰

The adventures entail monkey people, vegetable Frankenstein monsters, a Wizard of Oz world, and more—funnily enough, none of the places they visit are actually from the game, but as these are official comics, they can still be considered canon!

Believe it or not, Invisible Ring mentions there have been more strips published, though they have yet to be found. These missing strips explore islands featuring themes of black and white, Atlantis (though not in the style of Mission Atlantis Island), and even a library.

Anyway, enjoy the comics from the links above, or find them again anytime on our Comics page under Pop Plus from our site menu. Merry Christmas and happy holidays from the PHB! 🎄

  1. Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night! It is a HUGE honor to be recognized in the most recent post here! I am especially excited that they called me a super-fan! I was happy to get all those strips together because I REALLY wanted to see those comics very badly again. And when we want something badly enough, we find a way to make it happen! I deeply appreciate how specific and accurate this post was, and I couldn’t have summed the whole story up better myself!
    PS.
I will keep looking for those mystery strips of Atlantis and black and white and the library. I hope to find all of those as well. Until then, happy reading to all of you who have been longing to read these unreleased strips again!
    PPS.
This so-called “super-fan” (that’s me) has been working on more than just the Poptropica comic scavenger hunt. I have made Poptropica holiday videos all this month as a new tradition and advent for myself and for Poptropica fans. The link down below will take you to my first December video.

If you like it then subscribe to my channel and head over to my Poptropica Holiday Playlist and check out all the holiday videos I have made so far.
    PPPS.
If any one of you find this message after New Years, my holiday list will be complete as of then and you are welcome to subscribe and check out the entire list at once instead of waiting for updates every day. I will continue to post Poptropica videos after the Poptropica holidays are over, and you can check out my earliest videos in My Poptropica Dimension Playlist.
HAPPY HOLIDAYS FROM INVISIBLE RING AND THANK YOU PHC!!!

    1. Hey Invisible Ring I know a way to get those Mission Atlantis and the other comics. If you go to Daily Pop (go to server.idkonpop.com and click API Refernce and scroll down a little until you find Daily Pop) . Then go to comics and bam!If you need help getting idk’s teleporter to work, you can join Poptropica Club on Discord.

      1. Hey, Dangerous Icicle! Unfortunately, the teleporter is not working for me and it requires a lot of browser, software, and membership changes. I am not willing to take those chances because my folks need to use my laptop every now and then. My oversensitive touchpad is frustrating enough for them and glitching my computer to a huge level is not gonna end well. Besides, as long as I have been in the daily pop, Poptropica never showed any strips beyond even the desert island so I doubt that may work anyway. I appreciate the help though. I will just have to find another way to get those strips

      2. Oh well. If you just want to check it out you can
        1. Get Resource Override and load the file on it
        2. Go to the Wikipedia page on the unlocker thing
        3. Copy char.sol to server.idkonpop.com
        4. Copy vdilitycheck.sol and char.sol from server.idkonpop.com to static.poptropica.com
(There are walkthroughs on YouTube so don’t freak out if you can’t understand it)
And what do you mean by “never mind”. Sorry I don’t exactly understand.
