Earth Day

Until we put an end to pollution, there’s no way I’m going to leave my hazmat suit. Check the Poptropica store for a new FREE Earth Day quest. Not only will you be helping to save the earth, but just for helping out, we’ll give you some free Poptropica credits!

Hazmat Hermit sure is paranoid… anyway, there’s a new quest for Earth Day (which is on April 22)! You can buy it from the Poptropica Store for free (YAY! :D) And when you complete it, you’ll get 50 credits and an earth day shirt…

It’s fairly easy compared to the other ads/quests, which has disappointed other people. I honestly don’t care because, hey, credits are credits, aren’t they? 😀

So when you get in the house in the quest, you have to turn off the electronics that were turned on by “energy hogs”. I seriously thought that there were gonna be hogs chasing my poptropican, but my hopes and dreams were crushed when I found out that poptropicans were gonna be the energy hogs. 😐

There are only 3 floors, and to turn off the electronics, you just click on them. You have to keep turning them off so that your meter stays in the “Acceptable” (blue) part. Pretty easy, right?

When you’re done, you’ll get 50 credits and a cool earth day shirt. =D So, yeah… happy early earth day everyone! I’m gonna be looking for recyclables in the lunch trash cans at school with the rest of the environmental club. xD Don’t worry, we’re gonna have gloves on. 😀

This Time it’s Revolution!

Ahoy! What “arr” the Poptropica Creators up to this time? Posted on the official Poptropica Facebook page under the picture album titled “The Making of Poptropica”, is a cool sneak peek of some Poptropican characters you may encounter in the future!

Fear God, not man. 🙂

In the top-left corner of this picture, we see an old sailor with a green cap puffing on his cigar after a hard day’s work. Next to him is a simple-looking pirate cabin boy with a brown bandana wrapped around his head. And on the top-right, fearfully, are two pirate captains with golden peg legs!

The lower row of this sneak peek is occupied by four British (Redcoats; right)/American (Patriots; left) soldiers who look like they’ve stepped out of the Revolutionary War. Armed with guns with bayonets at the tip; you don’t want to get on their bad side! But freedom comes at a high cost, sometimes even requiring bloodshed… are you up for the battle?

Word on the street is that goth girls do brush their teeth. True. Goth girls are very cool, pretty and typically have minty breath. I just happened to meet one on Astro – Knights Island that must have just eaten some garlic bread.

So if you find a goth kid roaming the streets of Arturus, don’t be afraid to say hello. They’re not as scary as you may think! 😉

Knights Take Over

Astro-Knights don’t cut it – we need real brave, strong knights to fight for Poptropica’s truth and justice. At least, that’s what Poptropica Creator Master Mime thinks. On the Creators’ Blog, he gave us all a sneak peek of two upcoming knight costumes coming soon to the Poptropica Store – Earth Knight and Dark Knight.

Oh my stars, it’s a NEW ASTRO – KNIGHT!

I guess meeting an Astro Knight isn’t enough anymore. Now you can be one. The Poptropica Creators are about to release the Earth Knight in the store. This knight has a leafy trail that follows behind and a helmet that can be open or closed while dueling death-defying deeds.

Hmmmm…this kind of helmet might come in handy for rescuing maidens. Note to self: Keep helmet open for pretty maidens that want a kiss. Keep it shut for the maidens that don’t brush their teeth.

Believe it or not, Master Mime sounds like he’s trying to impress the girls.

Heh, at least he gave some pretty cool descriptions for the battle suits. ^_^ Anyway, Poptropica will also soon be releasing a fearsome purple set of armor for the tough gals out there, too… so just watch out! You never know when someone might strike you next. 🙂

I must be having a knightmare

Speaking of knights and maidens, here is a maiden you don’t want to mess with. This is the one and only Dark Knight suit for girls. Challenge this furious female to a duel and you might end up looking like shredded paper.

You might want to take a look in the store later this week and see for yourself.

Update: Here are some photos from Poptropica’s Facebook page, in an album titled “Astro Knights Costumes.” Apparently boys will be getting their own version of the Dark Knight, which is black. Girls can look forward to a Heart Astro Knight as well.
