Buckle up—you’re about to take off into space!

You’ll get to watch an introductory cutscene in which you fly around space, passing Pewter Moon, Ice Planet, and Lava Planet. Then, you’ll come across a jungle planet (not the mechanical jungle planet from Astro-Knights). Space sure is peaceful…

As if on cue, explosions will arise from the planet. Curious as you are, you go down to investigate. When you arrive, you see a bunch of alien animals running away from… something…

ls1

Go to the right, and then go up. You’ll notice a cave. Go in.

Cave

Navigate through the cave. Drop then go to the left to see a hidden thing that isn’t important to the plot: a broken robot. Yikes.

Go to the right and go up, and you’ll see bats fly away. Creepy. Go to the right.

Continue going right. A pop-up will appear on the bottom, pointing out the stone in the stone. Click on it to receive the first storyline sword in the game: the Rusty Relic.

ls2

The pop-ups will give you a little tutorial. Before you face off against anybody, try out some moves. Why not? Might as well.

ls3
ls4

When you go to the right a little, you’ll encounter your first health crystal in the game. Whack it with your sword until there’s nothing left. Later, when your health bar decreases, you can boost it back up with these health crystals.

Somewhere in this cave, if you go to a section with bones on a dark cave wall, there’s a shiny skull. Click on it to obtain a Skull Mask. It’s optional, but why not pick it up as a souvenir while you’re here?

skull mask

Continue on right, and you’ll encounter your first enemy robots in the game: two bats. That third one with the camera on its head? You can’t attack it. Just attack the two other bat-bots instead. Like a little tattletale, the camera bat flies out. You’ll encounter camera bat later on when you encounter your larger-sized robots.

If you got hurt, take a health crystal or two, but make sure to use them only when you need to. (Before I got the card, I purchased a costume with a sword, so I’ll be using that for now. You can use swords from Store costumes that have them in this game.)

Robo-Territory

Continue on to the right, where you’ll see two robots discussing a plan for invading Poptropica, led by a guy named E. Vile. Sheesh, how many overlord wannabes will be in Poptropica? The Charge-Bots (as I call them) will notice you. Jump. Attack. You get it.

Then, continuing on and fighting on, you’ll encounter a Laser-Bot. Careful, because it shoots lasers at you (hence the nickname). Fight, fight your way on through (don’t try to lead the bots into that pond—E. Vile must be smart to make the bots water-proof).

legendaryswords10

Next, you’ll encounter Rocket-Bots: turtle-like bots that shoot rockets at you. Use your sword to deflect the rockets. Fight. Destruct. Fight. Destruct. Heal. Go up. Go right.

Cliffs

Then, you’ll encounter a bigger version of the rocket-bot, whom I’ll call Momma Turtle. Camera Bat will tattletale about the human who has been reducing the robot population (you). Momma Turtle will start attacking now. Go to the middle of the bot itself and attack. There will be targets on the ground every once in a while to indicate where rockets will be heading. Unlike the smaller version, the rockets don’t follow you.

legendaryswords11

Try to make it so that Momma Turtle will be damaged by its own rockets as well as the fury of your sword. Once you defeat it, heal yourself and climb up the vines. On the first platform, there is a health crystal, so collect it.

Along the way, you’ll notice boulders falling, and you’ll encounter Laser-Bots. If there are multiple at once, take your fight to the main ground. It’ll be worth it to give yourself more space to fight.

legendaryswords12

After you defeat all the Laser-Bots, a vine will drop down to allow you to continue up. Watch out for the boulders, and go up.

Clifftops

You’ll encounter Mr. Boulder. He flexes.

ls5

Mr. Boulder will start throwing boulders at you. But for now, it’s only one at a time. Dodge ’em. Make sure you get to those health crystals first. Fight. Be careful when he starts picking up and throwing boulders like crazy. Go a little bit in front of him and run! When he stops, he’ll pause, since he’s exhausted. (Get it? Exhausted? No? Stop with the pun? Okay.) Attack. Repeat this a few times, and he’ll explode eventually.

legendaryswords13

When you defeat Mr. Boulder, the rock next to him collapses, revealing another sword! It’s the most powerful in the game (so far) and it’s called… The Bolt! I like to call it the “Zeus Sword” but oh well. Get it, and a few bolts of lightning will appear. Go to the right. I think it’s a good idea to hold onto the Zeus Sword for the rest of the game.

legendary swords bolt

Tip: Different swords have different attack powers. You can also get new swords from some costumes in the Poptropica Store! Here are the two you’ll encounter in Legendary Swords:

  • Rusty Relic: This sword only has one attack, a basic swing.
  • The Bolt: This sword has many attacks. Just tap space to swing your sword. Hold space shortly to swing and then you will hit the ground with your sword, causing massive damage. The next move is to hold space for a long while, which makes your Poptropican power up and then release a ranged attack of lightning, capable of hitting enemies from far away and dealing massive damage.
ls6

Forest

When you go right, you’ll see Charge-Bots and Laser-Bots, providing you the opportunity to try out your new sword. As you’ll learn, it’s pretty powerful. 4 stars. Woo.

Defeat the few robots and snatch the health crystals. Camera Bat tattletales again to a robot I like to call Master-Laser.

legendaryswords14

He’s pretty easy to defeat though. Go to the middle of the bot, and jump when he uses the laser. Fight him from the middle, and eventually, he’ll explode.

Spider Forest

Continue on to the Spider Forest. Here, there are little spiders, and then there are big spiders—and all of them will start getting feisty if you get too close! Slash your sword when necessary.

legendaryswords15

Take some time to laugh at the Charlotte’s Web spiderwebs on the way.

legendary swords spiders

Navigate through the trampolines and vines, making your way up and fighting off spiders as necessary. At the top, go right.

Final Boss Battle

Go. You’ll encounter a health crystal that only gives you two, but two powerful health crystals. You’ll encounter a robot five times your size, but be relieved because it’s off…

Wrong. Camera Bat goes into its head and turns Big Fella on. Eep…

ls7

Nice kettle head, though. Anyway, go on one of those platforms that shoot you into the air. The robot will follow you. It is immune except for one spot: the area where a clock and a tube is.

Jump when it attacks the ground. When it pauses for a second, attack the area that is glowing red (the clock and tube). Repeat this several times. Heal when necessary. And eventually, the thing will explode… revealing its… boxers?

Awkward.

Then, a mysterious flying gold thing will fly in and open… revealing… him. E. Vile. As a hologram.

ls8

You’ll have a conversation with him, and he’ll admit to trying to take over Poptropica. He wants to get rid of you first – but not if you can help it! At the end of the verbal showdown, you tell him, “You’re going down!”

E. Vile’s hologram will shut off and fly away. Your space shuttle will appear and you go in.

ls9

Wow. A possible recurring villain?

………

We have come to the conclusion of this adventure. For now. Will we see E. Vile again?

ls10

Maybe. You will win a Bully Bot costume as a prize, which you can find in your Store items inventory along with the Rusty Relic and the Bolt swords from the game. You’ll also win the Legendary Swords medallion and 150 credits to spend in the Store.

In the past, they’ve also promised a battle arena coming soon—but after about three years of not delivering on this, they’ve stopped showing this message. 😦

ls11

The mystery of the battle arena was covered more in-depth in this PHB post. Plus, if you’re interested in costumizing E. Vile’s helmet, check out our Glitching page and search for it among the “ASG” list.

Hope you enjoyed this legendary adventure! ⚔️

    1. Legendary Swords is my favourite mission, and I hope they make a lot more quests. Could you please put this in the description as a tip? Tip: Different swords have different attack powers. Rusted Relic: This sword only has one attack, a basic swing.

The Bolt: This sword has many attacks. Just tap space to swing your sword.

Hold space shortly to swing and then you will hit the ground with your sword. causing massive damage.

The next move is, hold space for a long while and your poptropican will power up and then release a ranged attack of lightning, capable of hitting enemies from far away and dealing massive damage.

Slanted Fish: Thanks for the tip! 🙂

    2. help, i want to go back to the poptropica map but it won’t let me, when i click on to the Back to Poptropica rocket and press quit, it reloads and I’m still in Legendary Swords. How can I get out??

  1. Hey, that cavern with the rustic relic sword? There’s a secret bonus skull helmet item in that cave!!!!!!!

  2. Also…… i really really wish you didn’t have to have membership to continue!!
And a battle arena………. That sounds awesome!!!!! I wonder if it means you get to battle other poptropica players. If so, I’m really hoping that it’s not memebers only, and that those playing without membership can still battle.
But then, if that’s the case, then members are going to have the advantage because of the Zeus’s Bolt Sword. Perhaps it will have the option “battle non-members, battle members” or something. Or maybe they’ll just give you the bolt sword anyway. That would be awesome.

BTW…. in conjunction with what i said earlier about the skull helmet…. Whell, this avatar studio link shows my main character wearing it.
    http://www.poptropica.com/avatarstudio/avatar.html?a=bWHlNY3h4YldGbmFXTnpkRzl5YlRNPQ%3D%3D

    1. Okay, using that Poptropica Avatar thingy, but check out this link to see my Poptropican:
      http://www.poptropica.com/avatarstudio/avatar.html?a=bSTVIMWcyUVc1cGJXRnNhbUZ0Y205NE1UUT0%3D

I used 4 outfits; Pop Star, Mythology Surfer, Biker Girl, and Swan Ballerina. Just use the Blue dress from Swan B. Use Hat, Lips, Belt, and Vest from biker. Use the Hoop Earings from the Pop Star. And use the ponytail from the Surfer. 😀 I got the outfit from this blog, but I forget from who.

  3. I really want to play the rest of it. D-: Maybe if they release more Legendary Swords non-members will get the first part to play. 😕

    1. Experienced that too, once in a while. That probably is because of a glitch. If you hit spacebar too quickly, it will act normal. I hate when this happens, especially if I’m caught in a mob of bots.

    1. Oh, and I forgot to mention that one of the spiderwebs in the woods (the ones you enter post battling the large laser-wielding robot) cleverly spells out “some pig.”

  4. i have no membership and continued. it never said you need to be member to continued. also i beat it twice got no credits and no bully bot costume please help 😦

    1. When Legendary Swords was first released, you had to have membership to complete it all (non-members only got to play up to a certain point). Now, it’s completely free for everybody. You don’t win credits for completing it, but you should get a “Bully Bot” costume as a prize, which you should be able to find in your Store items inventory.

  5. Just telling you,BT,I have a tip for defeating the final boss,tea-bot (I call him this because his head is shaped like a tea-pot):

When he slams the ground with his arms, the top of his head will steam (like a tea-pot). Try to reach it somehow and hit it. Then tea-bot will be temporarily stunned. His weak spot will turn red.Hit it several times. Do this repeatedly and you will defeat him easily. 😉

    1. Idk what happened, but the final boss ended up just standing around and completely vulnerable. He just stayed still and let me beat him up XD easiest fight ever

    2. That’s actually in the guide, except you don’t need to hit the top of its head when it steams. When tea-bot slams the ground, you jump to avoid the attack, and regardless of whether you hit its steaming head, his weak spot will turn red in a moment. The important thing is hitting its weak spot, not the top of its head. 😉

    1. yesh (4get the rest of my comments) i beat the island, but the boss or Tea-Bot (credit to A Very Merry Boxing Day) was glitched for me, once it was about 50-75% health it wouldnt attack or move so i tauted it for like 10min then killed it, thx for all ur guides!!!!

      steelerdcv

  6. I can’t get past the cave where you get the mask? I haven’t fought the bots the wont come, I can’t get past it is it a glitch?

    1. Me too 😦 i’m scared of ALOT of things on pop. Example, the GIANT spider on early pop, The viking cave on TTI, and EVEN MORE.

  7. I need help getting off the stupid game (i dont want to restart it because of Mr. Boulder…(
annoying). And I read the comments And saw that you get a 50 or 100 credits reward, but never saw it in my credits now (i have 50). Also i might not have bully bot but im pretty sure they did add it…

Slanted Fish: You can click on the space shuttle icon to leave the Legendary Swords area.

    1. I also couldn’t equip my new sword (which i already got before (BEFORE completing the game. So i had to kill stuff with the rusted relic

  8. i got the skull mask but it wasn’t in my inventory what happened to it also you can save poptropils games now YA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  9. umm… I don’t know where I am but the place has a little red car at the bottom and when I entered my poptropican said “im gonna have 2 climb the vines to get to the top” which I did but its not doing anything!

  10. I got 2 things to say
On-topica: Why didn’t the creators release the Battle Arena?
Off-topica: I am currently working on a trailer for Revenge Island, an island that will reveal why E.vile is against Poptropica, on my IMovie app.

    Sorry for being off-topica

  11. When i gone in mr boulders room i got broomy ( aka: witch’s broom from haunted house ) then i got so confused that i pressed spacebar then i got my sword. is this a little glitch?

Slanted Fish: It’s a glitch; try contacting Poptropica so they can help you, or restart the island. 😛

  12. Hey I found a kind of new move. If you duck or roll before you swing you will do a cool two-blow move. The first blow shoots whatever you’re fighting into the air (only Charge Bots, Laser Bots, and Turtle Bots). The second blow looks more fierce than the first but it’s pretty much useless because it happens while your enemy is sailing through the air. Not extremely helpful, but it looks really cool.

  13. I can never get past the spider forest! By the time I get there I don’t have enough health crystals. I want to restart the quest so I can have enough, but I don’t know how to since there’s no map, only a rocket back to Poptropica. Help!

  14. as much as i jump on the vines, i cant getr to the top right of the spider forest. I se\e where im supposed to go, but i cant jump that high. PLS HELPPPP 😥

  15. Yeah your walkthrough is pretty good, oh wait it’s not htat good anymore because it’s an island now. And that part of E.ville coming’s like 20% of the island, good for 20% but still good. I liked it alot.

    1. It’s an island in the sense that it appears on the map as one and has its own medallion (which it didn’t use to until recently), but it’s also not a traditional island in the sense that it’s not as much about solving mysteries through interacting with characters and collecting items (there is a bit of that, but the main focus is slashing the robots). Plus, you’re away from planet Poptropica, where the rest of the islands are.

  16. Is it just me or is it that my bag doesn’t exist on the screen?? Cuz it’s like invisible and I can’t click it but items just fly into it and there’s a rocket where the bag should be and it says ‘back to poptropica’ but where is my bag???

    1. Me neither! There’s also no way for me to access the items I’ve won after completing the island, they just disappeared. I went to my bag via the swords and then store, it just says it’s empty :/ no mask, swords, or anything. All gone
