Are you ready to unlock some super secrets and become a glitcher?

Glitching, the term used for using glitches to one’s advantage, has a big part in the Poptropica community, and its users are known as glitchers. On this page, we link to several resources for Poptropica glitching. Up your game!

๐Ÿ‘š Avatar Studio Gift ยป

ASG gift

Our Avatar Studio Gift is a present to the Poptropica community, containing a compendium of usernames that will allow access to rare (typically uncustomizable) costumes on Poptropica by way of the Avatar Studio Glitch, commonly known as ASG.

๐Ÿ”ฎ Name Genie ยป

Just by filling out a quick form on this site by KeithSammut, you can automatically have your very own custom named account on Poptropica!

namegenie

Please read and understand the following before sending a request:

  1. Custom names can only be applied to new accounts (as in, not existing accounts), so you will need to specify the username, password, and gender you want for the account you want.
  2. Names that are not a standard Poptropica name (see list here) will appear in-game (in common rooms and the friends list) as Poptropican Lizard, but will retain their custom appearance on the Avatar Studio. You may request up to four parts to the name (three spaces maximum) or else there will be an error. We recommend one or two parts. Be creative!
  3. Note that inappropriate names will be blocked by the filter.

Have fun with your new custom name!

๐Ÿ Old Island Directory ยป

A mid-2019 update to the island map removed all the old-school islands, but with this link directory from idk, you can still play your old favorites.

๐Ÿงฅ Poptro-Closet ยป

This tool created by supersiu allows you to store your character’s outfits separate from your in-game closet. Your data will not be stored.

Easter Eggs

Easter Eggs are secret surprises often found in many games, including Poptropica. Listed below are just a few of the many secrets of Poptropica.

Nabooti Phone Codes

The cell phone can be found at Mountains of the MoonNabooti Island, inside the cave lying on the bottom left corner of the scene. Enter certain number codes into the phone to get a cool new costume. Note that this can get rid of something you’re wearing.

  • 1225: Santa Hat and Sack
  • 911: Police Outfit
  • 411: Brain Helmet
  • 1337: Nerdy Outfit (Comic Kid/Ned Noodlehead)

Skull Mask

There’s a free “Skull Mask” wearable item hidden in a cave in Legendary Swords. To get it, enter the cave from the beginning and pass by the first cave area. In the second cave area, near the place where you find your first Legendary Sword (Rusty Relic), go left and jump up until you reach a brown space filled with strange fossils. Keep going left until you see the Skull Mask, then click to receive it!

Viking Suit

  1. On Time Tangled Island, use your time device and click on 831 AD, the Viking time period.
  2. Walk over to the cave area but donโ€™t go inside.
  3. Put on your glider from Leonardo’s workshop.
  4. Jump on the right side of the cave to get the bonus Viking Suit. Glide from the Viking mountain until you land on the ledge with the suit tucked away in the upper righthand corner of the Viking time period.

Hypnotic Costume

Here’s how even non-members can get an otherwise members-only costume! The prize is hidden at the Poptropica Towers on Early Poptropica Island. Go left until you stop at a green tower, jump up four stories high, and find the window pane in the middle with the orange flower pot. Click on the top-left corner of that window, and you will receive the โ€œHypnoticโ€ costume!

Poptropica SWFs

There are links to Poptropica SWF (Shockwave Flash) files, eg. http://static.poptropica.com/items/item13.swf, where you can see various Poptropica item cards. Replace “13” in the URL mentioned with different numbers for more item cards! Items in the 1000s = island medallions, 2000s = advertisement items, 3000s = Poptropica Store items.

Find more backdoor Poptropica files on the Behind the Scenes page!

  1. You know, if all of this is possible it makes me wonder why there’s not a glitching/hacking community for other popular games like Webkinz.

    1. Yo evryone im having a glitch in my game da fairytale island, in the part wher u wake up the princess who wants 2 b a vet. My character is supposed 2 run 2 the spot wher i ask questions and get answers but i just stand stil! then it glitched and my mouse turns into a circle and i cant click anything i think its da shoes i wear

  2. I found a bug so its random if it will happen to you or not (i think) Put on the Wings of the gods (If you dont have them you can use Card Collector, and the new sword that is on the shop ( the Fairytale one) Go close to the right blimp and jump with the wings while moving to the right and while you are about to jump press the space bar to use the sword, it may take several tries but eventualy you will be able to enter the blimp while the fly glitch occurrs, when you go back to home island (Dont go to any other island before going to home island or you will have to do it all again) you will appear above of the left blimp, the game will freeze and you will be able to see the blimps hitbox on orange

    1. oops sorry i meant (If you dont have them you can use Card Collector), and the sword that is in the shop (the fairytale one), not (If you dont have them you can use Card Collector, and the new sword that is on the shop ( the Fairytale one)

  3. Just a thought, has anyone else figured out the sweet spots for the Baroness’ free credits plane game? I’m not sure it’s even a glitch but I’ve gathered some info. She’s currently gone from my Home Island but her ship can still be accessed via the evite in the Messages section. If you place your plane in the direct center (slight leeway there, no huge deal if it’s not perfect) then without fail it will get you through, hands free. If you don’t want to have to move your plane each time due to moving the cursor to click Play Again, there’s an easy method for that too. If you place your cursor at the far left of the button, as close as it can be to not being able to click the button anymore as you can get it, it works too, so all you have to do is click each time the round ends. If you wish for an even easier method, just hit Play, place the plane wherever, and do something else. You can have your computer’s desktop, another tab or window, pretty much anything selected as long as it isn’t the game. The game will appear to freeze, but it’s still running. Each round is about a minute (I haven’t timed it) so just click back on the tab after a minute, it will unfreeze and display the Play Again screen, and you’ll have 50 more free credits. It’s a lot easier in practice, and it is tried and true, I’ve been farming credits on and off for about a week now, probably gone through several hundred rounds, and I’m up to 5,418 credits and still going strong. Honestly much of the stuff in the main store doesn’t interest me, my sights are set on the lost-in-time type stuff the Baroness sells, but it’s nice to be able to buy freely due to being wealthy and you never know when you’ll need a spare chunk of in-game change. Hope you all can benefit from this as well, stay schwifty ๐Ÿค™๐Ÿป

      1. No problem, I actually hooked mine up to an auto clicker so it’s 100% hands free. Of course that means I can’t do anything else on my computer with the auto clicker running my cursor, so that means I have to set it up when I’m not on it. All things in moderation I suppose lol

  4. It’s a flawless method due to the game’s new style of set winnings, you get 50 credits for winning, no matter your score, so you earn no more or less for hitting fewer ships and getting a lesser score.
