ASG gift

Our Avatar Studio Gift is a present to the Poptropica community, containing a compendium of usernames that will allow access to rare (typically uncustomizable) costumes on Poptropica by way of the Avatar Studio Glitch, commonly known as ASG.

How to ASG

👕👉 The ASG can currently be performed using the ASG Machine created by idk. Enter the following into the tool:

  1. the username of the costume you want to clone (a list of usernames is found below — hover with your cursor to see their name),
  2. the username of the account you want to copy the costume onto, and
  3. the password of the account in step 2.

Don’t worry, your login information won’t be stored—it’s simply used to perform the ASG.

Important notes

  • This could also change your character’s gender if your gender is not the same as the ASG account.
  • In the case of the costume appearing on a new unsaved account instead of your own account, try doing this on a different web browser (e.g. Chrome, Firefox).
  • An ASG-able account (for those interested in making their own) must be wearing one of the following: jetpack from Early Poptropica, glider from Time Tangled, bowtie from Spy, or chameleon suit from Spy.

*Rare accounts for ASG are listed below with pictures. Check out the pictures to find something you like, then perform the ASG with the username corresponding to the account pictured to obtain the costume.

  • highSpeed_ASG allows you to run 30% faster on non-SUIs, and adds a cool little blurring motion, but does not work on SUIs (sound-updated islands).
  • WKF_ASG_AN-Princess includes fire hands as seen on the character from Monkey Wrench Island (not pictured in Avatar Studio).
  • PopASG16 can only be ASG’d on a SUI and the costume is not visible on Avatar Studio.
  • idk_customField_ASG – Just use the item card (it’s included with the ASG) and jump. You’ll have a forcefield of green, blue, and black!
  • special_booga_ASG is a special power that summons a bunch of Booga sharks. Like all ASGs, this still changes your costume.
  • idk_suiGlitch_ASG gives your character special glitch eyes (black with white pupils with red crosses). Only works on SUIs.
  • idk_suiGlitch2_ASG gives your character special glitch eyes (black with red pupils). Only works on SUIs.
  • MidasTouchASG turns island NPCs and other players in common rooms gold. To use, click on the action button, then click on a character to give them the gold effect. It doesn’t work on yourself in Haxe.

    1. I don’t think I’ve ever seen that version of the Elf Queen costume in-game. It may just be a prototype that didn’t make the final cut.

  27. the bottlecap and black window asgs aren’t working and they don’t seem to be wearing the asg-able items like the jetpack or spy bowtie. Also, rosemoji77, 79, 83, 86, 87, and 88 are finally done, feel free to add!

    1. One ASG isn’t enough to be its own category; we’d need several. Also, the placement of categories is based on island release dates (if they’re from islands) or alphabetical order (for most everything else).

      1. Hey, I can’t use ipop on my pc. Can you make the bottle cap ASG-able or a dummy, it would be very convenient.

      2. Alright, I made an ASG you could use: asgbottlecap (however, since it needs one of the ASG-making items, in this case a jet pack, it loses the giant pencil it carries on its back). I don’t have the ability to make a dummy, unfortunately. Maybe someone else can – you could ask on the #glitchers channel on the PHC.

      3. thanks but the jetpack isn’t there, also can you use the camouflage suit to save the entire outfit including the pencil?

      4. Try again; the jet pack should be there now. Also, unfortunately not—I played around with it on iPop, but applying the camouflage suit anywhere would result in some part of the bottlecap costume being removed. (Update to this comment: Check out bottlecapdummy created by KeithSammut.)

        If you want to use iPop on a PC, what you need to do is open iPop.exe after you unzip the iPop file. If it doesn’t work on your PC, try a different one—you can always delete it from the downloads afterwards.

    1. also I tried using JP_PurpleFire_ASG but whenever I remove that stupid shirt, the hand orb disappears. Is there another ASG I could use to get it? Also looking for a male ASG with devil wings and horns

      3. I made that ASG a very long time ago so idk what the shirt glitch your talking about is. You can use iPop to clone the handheld fire to another look. I could make another ASG of the fire though.

  77. Recently i figured out how to get patched clothing (no longer available ad clothing) the only downer about this glitch is it wont save the outfit on your account. First you go to the poptropica login page and click Returning Player. next you go to this link http://www.poptropica.com/avatarstudio
    now log into your account. now go to a non SUI island. now type a patched clothing avatar in the avatar studio. it should show the clothing on the avatar. if it does not, you did not do this glitch right. once the patched clothing appears on the avatar, use the Avatar Studio Glitch and you will get patched clothing on a non saved account. i have a lot of patched clothing on my ASGs. they are

    I’m-Jacob21 through I’m-Jacob89. some of my ASGs do not work yet, but i am working on them.

    1. If anyone sees this, could you please make a Wild West Hero outfit with the lasso? I had the outfit but it disappeared and I haven’t been able to retrieve it again.

      Also, I see the point in keeping the “Name Genie” method a secret because someone could create inappropriate names or something but I don’t see the point in keeping the trick to customize all items (handhelds, ad apparel, etc.) a secret especially since this page isn’t updated that often…

      1. I don’t make the ASGs, but maybe someone else here can make your request. Also, Name Genie is now (and has been for years) available to the public, and includes a filter so it will not produce inappropriate names.

        The “customize everything” glitch is no longer available, but it was kept secret in the past because the Creators would check fan sites like this one and fix exploits like that one. However, they’ve kept the ASG around, perhaps because it’s a big part of many Poptropicans’ reasons for logging into the game.

  79. I did the ASG on a non-SUI island, and got the outfit. But when I go to a SUI island, my outfit returns to its original one. So, how to save make the ASG outfit appear on a SUI island too?

    1. I realized that the other ASG outfits show up on SUI islands. But, the ‘Rosemoji’ ones are not showing up on SUI’s.

    2. I had the same problem with a few ASGs. I found two solutions that worked for me. I am a member so I saved the ASG to my closet and customized it from there. I also tried clicking the “load” button a few extra times (even when the ASG already went through) and that worked in some cases as well. I do think that there are some ASGs that won’t show up at all though on SUIs. I know that the wings for the ThePinkLadyDummy will show up for a little while after you load the ASG but they will disappear on both old islands and SUIs. They also disappear in your closet.

  82. Hey. I’m creating an ASG for a certain video game character I like. My problem is, that she has got long and wavy hair (which I got, no problem). The problem is that she wears a beret. Now I can only find berets on Counterfeit Island, but they come with the hairstyle. Is there anyway I can get the beret without losing the character’s hairstyle?
