Found Footage of Track & Find

Why hello there everyone! SD here to bring you a cool video that idk put together for us. Yes, in fact idk has tracked down some footage of the unreleased “Track & Find” game that has not been found before. *contains possible spoilers*

From the video we see that to play this game, you would need to find whatever character you’re given in a lineup. Carefully though, since you only get one chance per character and the lineup always looks very similar. Get 5 points first and you win! Kind of like an odd game of Hide-and-Seek, don’t ya think? Obviously Track & Find was meant to be a battle option in common rooms, but it has yet to see the light of day.

The battle seems a tad slow, but still fun, so who knows? Maybe it will one day be available to everyone. Until then, check out some of idk’s other cool Pop videos on YouTube! 😀

The Beach Party continues!

Hello, everyone!

Lucky Joker here, bringing you an update regarding the Poptropica app!

beach-party

If you remember, a little over a week ago Poptropica released some all-new store items. Not winter coats nor fall fashion, but beach gear and a couple of pet followers to fulfill our wishes for the summer season! (Although, that’s already covered if you live in the Southern Hemisphere. 😉 )

Well, now they’re all FREE on the Poptropica app, so there’s another thing to be thankful for this Thanksgiving Day!

The items are as follows:

  • Tropic Beachwear 1 for boys
  • Tropic Beachwear 2 for boys
  • Tropic Outfit 1 for girls (pictured here)
  • Tropic Outfit 2 for girls (pictured here)
  • Scuba Gear for both boys and girls
  • Spray Tan
  • Tabby Cat
  • White Terrier

If you haven’t already, go and download or update the app and pop on over to the Poptropica store to pick up these freebies! Happy Thanksgiving, and see you soon!

Drawing Poptropicans over to a Lunar Colony!

Hey Poptropicans!

If you’re looking for a book to read, one of the Poptropica chapter books, Lunar Colony (which, as you might guess, is similar to the plotline of Lunar Colony Island), is now available for free in its entirety over on Funbrain! You can click here to flip through the 135-page, illustrated book online. Enjoy!

(Thanks to Shaky Skunk for the tip!)

If you prefer a hard copy of the book, you can buy one online or in a bookstore.

Over on the Creators’ Blog, Skinny Moon has reposted an old video tutorial from Pop Creator Jon Pitcher about How to Draw a Poptropican Head. You can view it below:

Notably in her post, she gave a shout-out to the PHB’s How to Draw a Poptropican guide, now updated with more art examples! It’s been one of the few times the PHB has been mentioned on the Creators’ Blog. Thanks Skinny Moon!

Once you master drawing your Poptropican’s head, the body should be a piece of cake — but if you want a little guidance check out the Poptropica Help Blog’s tutorial. They give some nice tips for drawing clothes and accessories.

She also hints at something to come…

Is there a reason we’re helping you brush up on your Poptropican drawing skills? Hmmmm? You’ll just have to wait and see… 😉

Wink, wink. ;;))) All we can say is, something’s up and you’ll want to be ready to get your creative juices flowing! Also, if you like Poptropica fan art, be sure to also check out our We-Love-Poptropica group on DeviantArt and the #art channel on the PHC. New stuff comes up frequently! 😀

Stay popping, Poptropicans!

Creepy Puppet and other Halloween updates!

Hi Gs,

Another update? With actual content?! This is insane.

Skinny Moon updated us yet again today, this time regarding a new costume. The “Creepy Puppet” costume is now available in the store for 400 credits (pricey!). The costume itself has two versions, one for each gender. I can’t decide which one I like better.

Strangely enough, the costumes actually aren’t the same as the ones in the promo image; instead, they have white skin and in classic they don’t have eye shadow/mascara. You will need to adjust your own character’s skin color to pure white so it matches the jaw of the puppet.

In other news, the Ship Wheel on Home Island has been updated with a Halloween aesthetic — and a new portal to the Haunted House mini quest has been opened next to the Arcade. Nothing new in the quest, however.

I’m excited to see what is unveiled next for Halloween this year (as she promises there’s more at the end of her post). Fingers crossed, substantial updates on New Poptropica.

See you next time, Poptropicans.

Credits for all – at least 100 credits for replaying an island once!

Hey guys, my name is Brave Tomato, and I’m here with a quick post about today’s update to the Creator’s Blog!

In the wake of long-time Poptropicans complaining about not getting any of the newly-increased credit amounts for playing an island they already played, they answered! The latest post by Skinny Moon, in a nutshell, is best described by this picture:

100 credits.png

Now, players who have replayed Poptropican islands get to join the first-time island players in the money pile as there is now a bonus for replaying a Poptropica island (but only once)! Now, this is how the island credit reward system works:

First time finish (Island of the Month): 500 Credits

First time finish (any other island): 300 Credits

One replay (Island of the Month): 300 Credits

One replay (any other island): 100 credits

This month, the islands of the month are Mystery of the Map and Virus Hunter Island, so if you want the extra credits, play either of those, whether it would be for the first time or as a replay! On the PHB, you can find the MotM Guide here, and the Virus Hunter guide here.

Once again, I’d like to acknowledge that in the postscript, Skinny Moon made a shout out to this very blog, the Poptropica Help Blog, once again, as well as popular Poptropica YouTuber Thinknoodles. However, this time around, it’s with a disclaimer-y touch.

“Our friends Thinknoodles and the Poptropica Help Blog also have lots of Poptropica walkthroughs (but note that we haven’t wanted them all).”

I private messaged Skinny Moon asking about this statement, and she explained to me that she had to do this when talking about other people’s walkthroughs since they are not personally responsible in case there’s anything inappropriate or any misdirection within the walkthroughs. We assure you our walkthroughs are trustworthy though. 😛

Skinny Moon also dropped us some comments in our earlier post about IOTM, letting other Poptropica bloggers and content creators know that if you’d like her to notice your work, you should tweet her @Poptropica!

So now that island finishers can join in the fun, what do you think? Was it a smart move, or are the Creators just cashing in to the fans? And also, will the Creator’s do a ninth birthday event this year? Share your thoughts in the comments!

BT out!
