And the new island is…

I’ve seen many of you in the comments wondering about how the Creators will fit all the other new islands on a teeny tiny map. And they have heard you! In this new post, it tells you how they pumped up the map and they also tell you of the new island they are working on and are giving us a sneak peek! Before you run off, read this:

Pump up the map

Since we’ve added so many new Islands to Poptropica recently, you may have noticed the map screen has gotten a little too full. Well, no more! We’ve made a brand-new map. And it has plenty of room for even more Islands.

In fact, if you go to the map now, you’ll be able to see the next Island we’re working on — along with a sneak preview that’s open to everybody! Check it out!

Let me explain how the map works. When you leave the island, you get to control the blimp as it flies around the Poptropica map. as you pass over each island, it shows you the difficulty rank: Easy, medium, or hard. I’ll post the ranks later, because I’m sure you want to know what the new island is. If you really want to know it’s:

GREAT PUMPKIN ISLAND!

I’m sure you’re wondering WHAT THE HECK? or if I’m kidding, but i kid you not. The new island they’re working on is Great Pumpkin Island. It’s animated like Big Nate. When you get there you see a couple of signs and you also see Linus. You can talk with him about the Great Pumpkin. I wonder how this quest will turn out…. I just wonder what pumpkins, mansions, SUV’s, and driving dogs have to do with each other. Are they even on the same island? Anyway… before I forget, here are the ranks the Creators say the islands are. Bye guys! 😀

As a follow-up to the post that the Creators made yesterday, this new post by Hades concerns the SUV that we saw being oddly driven by a dog. O_o. Weird right? Who knows why a dog would be driving an SUV? Anyways….

Four-wheel drive

Yesterday you saw an overhead shot of a vehicle from a new Poptropica Island. We’ve managed to get in a little closer to show you a more detailed picture.

Looks like fans of Poptropica have some off-roading in their future! But… what will you find off the beaten path?

Answer: A muddy road, dinosaur tracks, and who knows what else! This might be an island of horrors after all… though i can’t find a relationship between dinosaur tracks and mansions, but we’ll figure it out soon enough. And now on to…

THE SECRET POPTROPICA CHAT!

This interesting chat was discovered by Maroon Fire from the Poptropica Help Chat! There’s five topics to choose to go to: Vacation Spots, Raising Teens, Keeping Your Family Happy, Mental Health, and TV Influences. If you go into each room, you find a multi-colored room with the name of the topic in the sign!

To chat, there must be another person in the room with you. Click on the person and click the button marked chat. They you get to type in anything. Yes, I said anything! You can spam! You can swear, though it’s not advised. 😉 The catches are that you can’t use your own Poptropica character to get into the room and the characters are girls. 😐

Sneak Peeks

Big house on an unknown island.

^The title is a spoof of the Little House on the Prarie books. Just if you’re wondering. Anyway, back to the post. Recently, the Creators have been posting versions of houses for a funture unknown island. In my opinion, I think it’s one of the best houses of them all. To see what I mean, our very own Captain Crawfish will show us the sketch!

In the big house

Before we move onto the next phase of the design, here’s one more approach to the big mansion that will serve as an integral part of a new Poptropica Island.

Those columns certainly are regal. You’d have to be a pretty big hotshot to have columns like that around your front door.

But which of these designs will ultimately make it into the new Island?

See what I mean? A really rich guy must live there. There’s also a poll on the right of the PCB asking “Which of this week’s mansion sketches is your favorite?” I think that we’ll vote which house will be on the island, so which one do you guys think it should be? House #1, House #2, House #3, or this house? (On the poll, Mansion 3 from Wednesday was winning, but Mansion 2 from Tuesday took the lead.) Post what you think it should be in the comments! As for me, I’m going to leave with a bang.

Alpha and Omega ad in Poptropica!

EDIT: i just realized i forgot to add info as to where you can find it and age limit. I found it on Spy Island, and LS found it on Skullduggery. I found it on my youngest acocunt, which is 8. 😉

There’s a(n) (EASY) new ad in Poptropica based on a new movie coming out called Alpha and Omega. The movie is about a girl wolf which is the Alpha(leader) of the pack and a boy wolf, who is the Omega (the bottom) of the pack who likes the Alpha wolf. When they get caught, they have to find a way from Idaho to Canada. Anyways, back to the ad.

There is going to be a wolf race, where the wolves collect flowers (REALLY CREATORS? REALLY?! Why would wolves pick flowers?) to win. You have to collect flowers floating in the air while dodging boulders and things, and beat the wolf to the finish. There’s one catch though, you MUST have 5 flowers before you reach the finish line to win. The prizes are a wolf outfit, and a pretty cool Bluebird follower.
