Fan Comic: PoptropiCon Saga – Epilogue (and bonus MAF cards) 💥

Hey Poptropicans, this is a guest post by Invisible RingEnjoy!

This is it, Poptropicans!  After parts 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 of my pop-tastic PoptropiCon Saga comic series, I promised you an epilogue to wrap it all up with, and now it’s finally here!

…Now you have 771 pages of gut-busting graphic novel pages to read all in one spot! …At last, my 5-year PoptropiCon Saga is finally finished! YAAAAAAY!

…Wait a second… five years? Did it really take that long? …It only took me six months to draw my 136-page Dream Island graphic novel prior to that! I can’t believe my PoptropiCon Saga took me so much longer! …On second thought, yes I can. A lot has happened to me during all that time…

…I kept switching schools that tested my limits, just like Invisible Ring getting switched from Guard Duty, to Hero Duty, to even Janitor Duty during my PoptropiCon Saga!

…But then… I got really sick for a few years straight AND suffered a long-term creative burnout all at the same time… And it all made me as miserable as the Invisible Ring that kept losing her fights to E.Vile and almost lost her best friends in the process.

Needless to say, this difficult chapter in my life really hit the brakes on my comics for a while… Just like when Invisible Ring was bed-ridden for a total of half of the PoptropiCon event due to her injuries and to her burning both ends of the candle.

Then after I recovered from that mess, I spent this past summer and fall moving 1,300 miles out of state… Just like Invisible Ring leaving her sick bed and moving out of “Dimension Poptropica” to face the final battle of E.Vile.

…And by the time I was drawing my last comic book, I had stacked up a surprising list of achievements! …And so did my PoptropiCon self. While she won every PoptropiCon battle after the E.Vile war, I had created all sorts of PHB posts that had made it to the list of “Greatest PHB Posts“, including all the Mighty Action Force cards I created. So, I decided to have some fun and leak those MAF cards into my Epilogue comic!

But that’s not all… I also created a movie called “Pirates, Camera, Action!” …I mentioned being in the process of it in my PoptropiCon Saga posts AND Mighty Action Force card game posts, so it’s time I mention that I completed that quest! (I had plans for a second pirate movie, too, but after two years of trying and failing to make it a good movie, you learn that sometimes, there’s a Poptropica quest that you just have to quit and come back to later on when you’re older and wiser.)

…Wow! To think I first drew these PoptropiCon comics because I thought my Megatropolis Island comics came out so beautifully, it just had to continue! …Then somewhere along the way, I also wanted to draw these comics out of self-discovery, and become as brave as the Invisible Ring who brought E.Vile to ruin… I like to think I’ve accomplished that mission, but I also find it so strange that my real-life struggles wound up having so much in common with my PoptropiCon comic book struggles after I drew them out!

…But I digress. New projects and adventures await, and it’s time for me to finally close the book on PoptropiCon. Thank you all so much for joining me on my comic book adventures! And for all my loyal fans who stuck with me this long…

I share with you the last of the Mighty Action Force cards that I built back in 2020 (plus the Azure Lily card my sister Blue Ice made to go with it)!

…It’s true. My PoptropiCon comics really did start with my Mighty Action force card projects. My Starstriker card in particular was the very seed I planted into my Dream Island graphic novel, so it was only fitting that the PoptropiCon comics that came afterwards took place in the island from which all my cards came from in the first place. Mission accomplished!
