Hello everyone, Dizzy Feather here with a theory on Amelia and the Red Baron. I’m going to split this into two parts. This is part one, where I’m going to be discussing the theory of the Queen mentioned at the end of Rumpel’s Challenge being the Baron. You might have heard that theory, but I’m not here to prove it right. I don’t blame you if you think it is ā I thought so too, until I played Rumpel’s Challenge.
Let’s get into why I changed my mind, shall we? The picture that stirred it all up was this one from last Thanksgiving:
Some comments on that post suggested it was showing that the Baron was part of the royal family of Fairytale Island, and possibly was even the queen herself. Both the king and prince are crying, which makes sense considering they are afraid of the queen. Overall, this photo is a solid piece of evidence supporting the queen = Baron theory… or is it?
Let’s look at the photo closer, specifically the background. We see a silhouette of the queen and some cats with red glowing eyes. The queen seems to have long pointy eyelashes, but the Baron only has a few black lines for eyelashes like most female Poptropicans. Also, why would there be a silhouette of the queen with the Baron at the same time if they were the same character? Seems kinda pointless to me.
Let’s move on to our next piece of evidence: cats. A while back, the Pop Creators shared concept art of a character for Fairytale Island. Here it is:
The third picture of the character looks like the statue and the silhouette of the queen. But look at the first one: she’s holding a bunch of cats. In the background of the Thanksgiving photo, she is surrounded by cats. So the queen seems to like cats. As for the Baron? We have never seen her with a cat… in fact we’ve only seen her with one pet, Ack the monkey.
Still, need more proof? How about this golden statue of the Baron wearing a crown in the royal treasury of Fairytale Island?
Looks just like her, though she’s wearing a crown here. Meanwhile, the queen gets her own large statue in the middle of the treasury that looks totally different. Considering that most characters in Poptropica keep the same outfit, they are probably two distinct characters. Truthfully, I don’t see the Baron being an exception to this. So my thought is, the Baron is related to the queen, but she isn’t the queen herself.
I came to that conclusion after considering what I shared above. You’re welcome to believe otherwise, but I have my mind made up.

Interesting theories op!! I have a couple theories I have with Amelia and Baron too so I am glad I am not alone- I’ve noticed that after completing Amelia’s side quest, there’s a photo of Amelia hanging out with a group of unnamed characters that are presumably her friends. One of them in glasses even has a statue of themselves in home island though what strikes me as odd is that the player has never met them nor Amelia has mentioned most of her personal life. Though it’s clear that this ‘friend’ of hers uses magic in the picture which I find strange since- Rumpelstiltskin uses magic too right? I kinda thought of it since the purple clouds ARE similar but then again it’s a bit of a stretch- Until the October update comes. I purchased an outfit that looks really similar to what Amelia’s friend wears with the outfit even labelled ‘Fairytale costume’ And I find that weird- and at some point I thought Rumpelstiltskin must be related at some point- but it could just the creators reusing assets as costumes, who knows- wait.
If Amelia’s friend uses magic, she shouldn’t be phased at all by Rumpelstiltskin being the “Magic man”. In her quest we saw the same magic lipstick given by Rumpel so Amelia must be investigating it- right?? Why in comparison Amelia doesn’t seem phased selling a costume of Rumpel in her shop yet when Baroness store has been infested with Rumpel merch, she defintely doesn’t look okay. How come Rumpel doesn’t target Amelia if she’s supposed to be the one closest to the player? Why does Amelia own the lipstick given by Rumpel and is investigating it on her own?
(Sorry I made this long but most of it is just my assumptions and my thoughts- looking forward to some of your theories tho!)
That’s a good point about Amelia being friends with the mysterious magic girl! PHB guest writer Incredible Fire has a Popspiracy post here which suspects that the magic girl may be Rumpelstiltskin in disguise, or at least closely related… but we’ll have to see if Poptropica reveals anything more about their story.

maybe the girl who has got powers is Rumpel, and in Thanksgiving, Rumpel was a turkey in the Thanksgiving photo. It says ”Happy Thanksgiving from Baron’s family. In the photo, there are Fairytale Island Royal Family, Baron and Rumpel. Baron eat Rumpel(turkey version). Rumpel is the evil in Fairytale Island. Maybe Rumpel had an arguement with family. And became bad. And in Amelia’s messy kitchen there is a photo, and there are two people in the photo. But we cannot see it. Maybe the photo has a backstory.
Exactly what I thought, although my theory will focus a bit more on the Baron and Ameliaās rivalry since there is a theory already about Amelia and magic on the PHB.

i think you are right. and i saw a photo in amelias room.(too many unicorns). amelia and two poptropica characters. one of the characters have curly black or dark brown hair and a glasses. she have powers too. and she have a statue in home island, near amelias statue and xaviers statue. and second character, she have pink hair and weird eye makeup. and when you look the picture again you see a cat. like queens cats. idk but maybe one of them is the queen. maybe the pink haired girl.
