It’s Lucky Joker here, showing you a fabulous Poptropica cake!
Over on Poptropica’s Twitter page, Poptropica has just announced that they’ll be celebrating Poptropica’s 9th birthday this month! I’m not sure what Poptropica has in store for us, but we were promised some fun coming soon! 🙂
Moving ahead now! We’ve also got some unreleased items we may or may not see in Poptropica. Courtesy to idk for the photos.
As seen above, we have a Pencil, a Shoe Box, and an Amulet. From the island logos imprinted on the cards, I’m assuming these were items that were cut during development. Both Shrink Ray and Vampire’s Curse logos can be seen, if you look closely. Maybe even items for the New Poptropica?
If I were to guess; I would say that some of the original islands may be renewed in the New Poptropica. Eh… Just something that came to mind. 😛 Here’s what creator, Skinny Moon, had to say in a recent Q&A we held.

So there could have been an Amulet Vampire Detector, possibly to warn if Count Bram was near 😉 ? I think I’ve seen that Amulet design in one of the Daily Pops at one point – cool to see a description finally. Would have been a bit silly to fend off Mr. Silva with a pencil
. I suppose the Shoe Box could have been used for stealth a la Metal Gear Solid 😛 .
I wonder if that Poptropica cake slogan and design is a hint to a cat follower coming up. Looking forward to whatever it may be 🙂 .
I Would throw the shoebox at Mr. Silva and poke Count (Ram) with the pencil so he turns around so i can put the amulet on him and it’ll glow and annoy him like heck XD

Yup! There’s even some left over code in the files for the island. Apparently Count Bram’s cape is supposed to make the amulet glow, but it doesn’t work for some reason. Anyways, the amulet itself is also unused, and is permanently glowing. (For those using iPop, try adding the overshirt “vcamulet”.)

Nice sneak peeks! 😉 And I can’t wait for what Poptropica has in store for us for their 9th b-day – so far it’s been a pretty uneventful year in Pop.

Are they releasing Poptropica 2.0 at Poptropica’s birth day? And that can’t all that they’re going to give out.(Don’t get me wrong, they’re pretty cool)

Can’t guarantee that – all we know is that the New Poptropica is coming later this year, and considering we haven’t seen all that much yet, it will probably not be so soon. We’ll probably have the birthday bash on the current Poptropica. 🙂

Well, if you think about it, the amulet wouldn’t really have come in handy if you inserted it into the Vampire Curse plot we have today, because Count Bram never really shows up until the end when you make him mortal. But there could of always been other plots. The pencil could of been used to write the message down from CJ giving you the morse code! And the shoe box? I don’t know, you can’t use a shoe box really when you’re tiny, and, yeah… Maybe at one point you help CJ set up her project in a rough draft plot? I don’t know. 😛
Skinny Moon has said the New Poptropica is going to be GREAT and all that stuff, so many times, that all these questions are going up, like, when is it coming out, what islands are there, blah blah blah, but it’s almost kinda getting old, to the point that I wonder if the New Pop will not continue or even come out, like how Legendary Swords suddenly stopped, or that Monster Carnival mystery (which has been solved by the way, but it relates). I have almost lost faith in poptropica, like, You gonna do this or not, like, it’s very iffy.

It’s a play on the proverb “The pen is mightier than the sword”, which is a saying that means communication is more effective than direct violence. 😛
