Hey folks, it’s Cobalt, no, Spencer here, with some saddening news, and a lot of commas.

I was here for what, a month, a bit longer? Yeah, I know. I’m sorry if you all became somewhat attached to me. But listen, I’ll never forget this. Any of this. I’ll never forget being Cobalt, and I’ll never forget you. I’ll be 90 something, 100 or more if I’m lucky, on my deathbed and I promise, I swear, I’ll have this place in mind. You won’t know when I die, any of you online pals or fans, but if I were to get in a car crash tomorrow, I want you all to know I died loving you all.

Sorry for getting a tad personal, but I want my goodbye to be genuinely from the heart. I’ve always downright hated my environment. My school, my home life, my family hardships and so forth. I always wanted something just otherworldly to happen to me. Like, turn into The Flash or get a letter to attend Hogwarts. I never got struck by lightning, or an owl flinging himself against my window with an invitation to a wizard school. But, I did get an invitation to work here. The opportunity to work on a blog you’ve been a fan of for roughly half your life? Yeah, that’s pretty otherworldly.

So, why am I leaving? Why am I abandoning this community and game altogether? Well, there really is no way to word this without it sounding like a sob story, but here I go.

I need to work on myself, and pursue other interests and move on. I was the kid in 4th grade that blew his homework to play Big Nate Island on its release day, diss going outside on a hot Spring day to play Mythology Island, and beg my Grandma to buy me membership so I could obtain the limited edition golden renegade robot store item. I’m just not that kid anymore, and sadly, I got what I wanted, but what the young Spencer wanted, not the older Spencer. Does that make sense? At all? No? Okay.

Thank you for the privilege, Slanted Fish. HP, Sam, UIPE, Fishy, Blake, BT, Slip, and SD… thank you for being my buddy pal amigos who embraced my love for circles, and becoming my part time therapists. I won’t be on Discord anymore, nor the comment section. But, I plan on keeping contact with the staff of the PHB, and I’ll still be lurking this place. So, I’ll still be speaking with them, they’re my buddy pal amigos after all, and I’ll be happy to be in the Poppies, along with voicing Cobalt in Orb Legend. Because well, sometimes in order to move forward, you have to look back.

But, what’s next for me? Well, with the help of a buddy pal amigo, I will be attempting to make rap music. So, that’s pretty gnarly.

Guess what else? It’s been a week since the little PHB 24 million hits contest, and I promised to announce the winners. My co-author UiPE will be getting the accounts to the winners, so if you won, stay tuned. Anyway, here they are:

    1. And then there were six… I hope that Omegon isn’t going to take over now! its been a whil- WAIT A MINUTE!!!!!! Omegon its still up to his plans! He has taken Cheerful Singer, Giant Hawk, Quick Wing, Blake, Samwow5, Magic Snowball, Sticky Clown, Nariko/anime, Rasuke, Sasuke, Sakura, and now Spencer! Omegon has taken 13 people. Don’t you see? Omegon is trying to take over Poptropica from the PHB! This is not good! Who is next?!?!

  3. It makes me sad seeing you leave, Spence, but I know you’ll do great in your life. I wish you luck in it, I’m sure you’ll accomplish a lot, you already have! You’re a great friend, and hopefully, cya sometime.

Even though you weren’t able to be here for long, it was pretty cool having you here- it was cool that we even lived not too far away from each other and we both are familiar with certain areas of Manhattan. I do understand why you have to go though, your top lists were pretty fun to read! See you around, Spence ^_^

      1. Anyone is welcome to send in guest posts if they have ideas, but becoming a full-time PHB staff writer (those on the header) is up to the discretion of the current staff team. Some qualities we generally look for are helpfulness, activeness in the community, friendliness, among others.

  7. While I can’t necessarily relate to your situation, I can totally understand what you’re going through. It’s something even I’ve contemplated before.
    We’ll all miss you Spenny. Even though I’ve only known you for a few months, it was great to get to work with you on different projects, namely drAWihn wiF zPNSr.

  9. Well Spencer, it’s been great having you on the PHB. The time was short, but you did a lot in that short time, and I’m glad you got to make your mark in the Poptropica community. Remember we’ll be here for you if you ever want to circle back over, and I wish you all the best with everything else in your life. 🙂

  11. Seriously, that must be, like some 1 month and 18 days. Like, about half a circle We are down to six authors now! If we go on losing authors like this, there will be no PHB left!
    By the way, Spencer, you probably made the record for shortest stay on the PHB, you son of a CIRCLE. *sob* Gonna miss your circles.

  18. How many authors have left now? Blake, then Sam, then Giant Hawk, and now Cobalt? Exactly four authors. Three moons, this is awful. Cobalt, I’ve been around the entire time you’ve been posting here, and I wish you good luck in life. I’ll miss all the circles.

  22. Geez. I’m sad after I heard this depressing news. You were one of the most funniest authors. (No offense Fishy, HP, SD, UiPE, BT and Slip. But hey, I said one of!:)) Even though you were not on PHB for a long time the entire Poptropica Community will miss you. I will forever remember that blue hair under that beanie. It’s pretty sad having 4 authors leave in 2 months.(I,m talking about you, Blake, Sam, GH and now Cobalt.) I was here when you came, and I am here when you leave. I guess there are now only 6 authors, but you wouldn’t understand, Cobalt, because YOU ARE NOT A COUNTER!!:)

    I’ll miss you, Cobalt. You were one of my favourites. It’s always sad seeing someone leave Poptropica and Discord forever. Goodnight, sweet prince. I remember the day you joined the PHB. Now there’s only six.

        Sometimes moving on is best for the authors and the community. Sometimes we need to accept it. Just think about it, a lot of us weren’t thrilled about Samwow5 leaving, and look how awesome we think Cobalt is!

  34. Sigh. Well, this had happened again. We will all miss you, Cobalt. You have only been here for a short time, but, to speak for all of us, as the spectators of the spectacular PHB, you made a huge impression on us in such a small period of time, and you were already one of our favorite authors. And, I get it, Cobalt. It’s like when I begged my parents for months to get a dog, and when I got it, I was so amazingly happy. I still love my dog, but, it’s like, there isn’t that same amazing feeling anymore. And now I want a ferret, but a while after I get him, I’m sure the spark will be gone. Dang it, I sound like I am breaking up with someone XD. But, once again, I understand. Sometimes you just need a ferret instead of the dog.
