Greetings Hawk-tropicans! This is Giant Hawk speaking, and today, the Creators have decided to reveal Poptropica’s next island! Well, at least some info about it… check out this pic:
This is very cool looking! The sign tells us this is “Crusoes Castaway Retreat”, and based on the environment shown, this could be related to the jungle/aviation sneak peeks we’ve been seeing on the Daily Pop. The jungle-esque background is very nice, and is that a giant stone monkey head I see back there? The only problem is that the fruit on this large contraption/fruit stand structure is starting to make me hungry…
So, here’s what the Creators mentioned in their latest post (we’ve taken the liberty to emphasize the important parts in bold):
Well, we’re trying something a little bit different this time. We’ve got over 40 full Islands on the site already. That’s great for most players, but some of those Islands — okay, most of them — are very complex and challenging!
That’s why we’re putting our efforts toward a new Island especially for first-time players. It’s shorter than most, with simpler objectives. The idea is to let new players understand how to approach the challenges of Poptropica and give them the tools they need to crack some of the tougher Islands, like Escape From Pelican Rock.
If you’re already a Poptropica expert, fear not! We think you’ll like this Island too. It’s got some fantastic art, great gameplay, and hilarious characters. In other words, everything you love about Poptropica!
This sounds great – and as you may already know, sounds similar to a request Slanted Fish made in her open letter to Poptropica. (Plus, have you read the response?)

In other news, the Poptropica Creators’ Twitter (and other social media accounts) have recently been updated in a much more personal way with a new identity. The Twitter bio now reads:
The one and only official Poptropica Twitter account, moderated by Poptropica’s community liaison, Jessica (also known as Skinny Moon!)
The account’s avatar has changed as well. Gone is Zeus’ evil mugshot, and in its place is a shot of Skinny Moon, aka Jessica, the Creator who’s been running the Poptropica social media accounts lately. (Remember when we joined her Multiverse party?)

Well, I wrote an entire post about this island on my blog a few hours ago, so check that out if you want to see my full thoughts on it. Anyway, it’s OK, but I was hoping for something much longer. Also, I like the changes made to Twitter. Now we know who tweets on it! Plus, seeing Zeus’ picture on it kept making me thing the tweeter was a man. 😂
A little bit under what I expected, but nonetheless, it should be better. After all, bigger isn’t necessarily better. =D
The island looks like you have to help an inventor do something?
Btw, are the 7 islands that are demos not demos anymore?
As of now, those islands are still members-only, but it is possible that they could change in the future. For now, keep your fingers crossed. 🙂
Wait- on Jen’s letter response to the PHB, it says that the Creators are updating membership this Spring. Maybe the islands will come back for all!

OMG yesshhhh! I can’t wait to checkout this island it looks so cool! The changes of the account? I don’t know as I’m not rly a social media user :P, but I guess its cool 😀
Oh, and another thing. I don’t think there will be an early access period for members. It will probably just release to everyone in a couple weeks. Why? This island is meant for new Poptropicans who have never played before! New Poptropicans wouldn’t have membership yet. So, let’s just say a brand new player tried to play the island. And suddenly it says “End of Demo. You need Membership to play the rest! Or wait a few weeks!” They wouldn’t do that. They want this island out for beginners as soon as possible.
Right. Similarly to how Home/Hub/Tutorial Island appeared on Poptropica without a members only period. 😉
I’d like to see maybe a ‘hint’ option in some of the islands, it’d be very useful to some of the new players, and the younger ones.
Yeah, they could do it according to your age. Like, if your 6, you’ll have hints, but if you’re 15, you won’t unless you really need them.
Mhm, but I think it would work for kids who are about 5-13 since Poptropica can actually be really difficult sometimes
Maybe. It should also depend on the island and it’s difficulty. Most kids won’t need hints on Early Poptropica and the upcoming island meant for beginners. But the problem, however, is that you can’t change your Poptropican’s age. Let’s say that you made your Poptropican when you were, um, 7. Yeah, 7. That was back in 2009. Now, in 2016, you’re 14. But you still get hints when you don’t need them because your Poptropican is still 7. The Creators should add a way to change your Poptropican’s age and a button to turn off hints.

Find it funny how this island is kind of the origin (canon beginning I guess) of Poptropica, and its common belief humans evolved from monkeys, apes, etc. This island has monkey like creatures, so maybe Poptropicans evolved from them too?
Maybe the new island will be called Monkey Quest Island!
I really like poptropica and i really hate the intro because when the dumb woman threw that wrench at me i felt like punching her right in her face so she can see how it feels like and also i like poptropica because everything looks like real life exept the time when you always go to the hot aor ballon anyways hope you guys have a great summer vaction.PEACEPEACE✌✌
