Great news guys! Mystery of the Map Island is officially out for everyone.

If you get stuck, be sure to check out the PHB’s guide for a written walkthrough complete with pictures. And when you’re done, you can check your rank on the MotM World Champions Map!

In other news, for a limited time there is a much faster way to obtain Poptanium. When you visit Poptropica Realms, you have the chance to use a lightsaber, as a promotion for Star Wars Rebels.

The lightsaber allows you to more efficiently collect Poptanium by destroying a huge area, but this powerful tool will only be around for a limited time. So visit Poptropica Realms before the lightsabers disappear! (Plus, check out our Realms guide for more tips and tricks on Realms!)

  4. I was bored with nothing to do, so I thought I would play MoTM Island.. but I was like, “Oh yeah.. it’s only for members..” But I thought I would try so I went on Poptropica and it was open for non-members 🙂 I’m also a HUGE fan of Star Wars so the lightsaber thing = totally awesome.

    P.S. Tamara – What’s overrated? The lightsaber or the island?

      1. Yes.. but didn’t you say that sometimes you are too lazy to mine? I mean, we are all like that sometimes..

        But still, with the lightsaber you can get Poptanium, a lot at a time, so you can use your imagination and build faster. That’s why I don’t think it’s not so overrated.. but it depends on your opinion too, of course 😛

  5. Personally, I think it’d be more fun and less obtrusive if you could just build on Realms without having to waste time collecting Poptanium. But it’s great that it’s now a little easier, if only for a limited time. 😛

    2. Yes, it would be a LOT more easier.. but it kind of gives a sense of ‘determination’.. don’t you think? As you gather more and more Poptanium, you think of all the things you could build with it and what level you could be when you get enough.. I, (personally) work harder if there’s a goal to achieve… Oh, and on Realms, I built an underground house and now I am working on building a house that’s above ground.. my friend (in reality) is going to show me how..

      1. Crazy lightning, you’re right. I DO think of the things i could build when im digging for the poptanium. But when i try to bulid it, i realise that i dont have enough. And that im too lazy to dig for more. For me, not digging would clear my mind of digging worry and focusing on the IMAGINATION!

  8. OMK guys (staff, post this later lol) I just died underwater and instead of that skull that shows up it had Ezra on it with… a ship? idk i dont watch it. and it said “try swinging the lightsaber to destroy water”

      1. Oh-and the cyclops power. When you have the cyclops power, you press the spacebar and you cyclopsify the next Poptropican next to you. There are two prizes, actually. I should’ve put that one in my previous comment.

      4. Technically it was first made by Hephaestus, who gave it to Hercules, who was trained by Chiron. And if you think THAT’S cool; see the weapon Jason has.

Actually, Tamara, as a nickname it could be called “the pen/sword”, because in the first book, Percy was like, “It’s a pen.” And Chiron had to explain that it’s real name was Anaklusmos or Riptide.. it belonged to Hercules and Pleione before it got passed on to Percy.. I think you know all of that, but still 🙂 Cuddly Knuckle, that’s really cool! I’m a pretty big fan of the series, so I would LOVE to have Riptide in my possession. Tee hee.
