What’s popping, Poptropicans? Blake here, back off vacation, coming at you with a very blocky Poptropica ad. This time it’s an ad for LEGO’s new line of Mixels, which go for about 5 bucks at any local store. Pick up one today! One place you can find this ad is Main Street of Mocktropica.
So anyway, this ad features two powers: the Cragster Stomp (below) and the Electroids Zap (above). These are both based on two of the three Mixel tribes. Ideally, I’d like to see them come out with more powers for the ad space when Mixels Series 2 and 3 come out.
There’s also a quiz you can take and win… absolutely NOTHING. As usual. *rolls eyes*
That’s pretty much all you can do in this ad, so on to what the powers actually do. I decided to test these out on some unsuspecting Islanders on Red Dragon, but you can do it wherever you want…
The Cragster Stomp transforms you into a Cragster, which is the black Mixel tribe. You stomp, which shakes the ground and knocks out every Poptropican in your wake. The Electroid Zap transforms you into the yellow Mixel and you shoot static. All in all, pretty lame prizes compared to what we’ve gotten in the past. So, this is Blake, signing off. Stay popping, Poptropicans.
Just when Lego turned down Poptropica’s toy idea.
Ikr?
Yea, Maybe the creator should create a Lego Island.
None of this ad’s powers do anything to the contestants in Reality TV Island
I see Mixels commercials on Cartoon Network and Boomerang all the time. They seem really boring to me. LEGO does not seem to be making good toys since the release of their Chima set.
Why should Lego make another Lego set after they turned Dr Harvey Hare’s Lare ideA?
Probably because LEGO is full of cash cows who sell themselves out to make pointless building toys that REALLY hurt when stepped on. o.e
