Hi Gs,

Today, I logged into my pop account, clicked on return to your game, which was Time Tangled (yes, still enjoying the update).

I was surprised to see not Time Tangled at all, but in fact MEGA FIGHTING BOTS!  And once the screen was loaded, I couldn’t get out!  If I went back to the home page, it would redirect to MFB!  Not only that, but it wasn’t the normal MFB site; it was the new Poptropica format/player with Mega Fighting Bots inside it!

The first effect of Gamer Guy’s ploy, I believe.  You can still make a new player, and you can still go to recent islands through the homepage… but this is just  the beginning, I think.  In the next couple days, I believe Poptropica will start to fall apart!

Edit: Due to comments, I wonder really if this is intentional, or just a weird glitch… jumping-to-conclusionitis is a condition I suffer from. 😉

  3. It’s still not doing it for me, and I’ve been to all of the Islands… I mean since you posted this at least… Oh well, only a couple more days 🙂

  7. I know how you get out of it. It happened to me too. You have to click on one of the “poptropica ads” for a new island at the bottom left corner of your home screen. It should lead you back to an island.

  8. i think this was done on purpose by the poptropica team. i think gamer guy is going to be the new villain on mocktropica. they r just trying to make him more realistic.

  9. Hmm… the MFB thing isn’t popping up for me. Maybe it has to do with the Random House ad I mentioned a few posts back. Also, the Poptropica Blimp is ten dollars off on Toys R Us! 🙂

      1. How do you know I wasn’t a fake creator the whole time? How do you know that my account wasn’t deleted shortly after being fired? How do you know this is all Sam’s doing in the first place. Easy answer: you don’t. I still have a very minor control over Poptropica. For example, for some players, the NPC outside the Time Tangled Common Room, the NPC is wearing a jetpack or grey backpack. Not all gamers are dull, you know.

      2. Well I actually do know that Sam is not behind this weirdness. Sam is a good guy. Plus, that jet pack/gray backpack thing isn’t happening to me. And I think that you’d still be using txt talk, even if you were mad. Gamers do that. -_-

      1. I know… I wanted to…but every time I play a new island that just got a ‘makeover’ I have to wait like, 20 minutes for it to load.

      3. As far as IE goes, I downloaded IE9, and now I can’t play Poptropica using it… The screen shifts to the side oor something, it’s strange, so I use Chrome for EVERYTHING internet on my laptop….

      1. I used to use Internet Explorer too, and then one day, my dad installed Chrome, and I haven’t used IE ever since! (LOL) :mrgreen:

  15. Maybe the glitch “chooses” its victims, so that everyone will think its victims are crazy (I’m not saying you’re craxy, HP).

        But I actually hate Google, sometimes it can be annoying, all I really like about it is its search engine 😆
