You might be wondering, “Why did Angry Wing name his post in such a strange way?” Well, the answer to that is, well, um, next question. You remember the Poptropica books, right? In particular, there’s the Island Creator Kit – which may come in handy for the Create Your Dream Poptropica Island Contest!
Here’s the real story. Starting August 1, anyone can “create” an island and send it to the Creators for evaluation. One lucky winner, just one, will have their island created and put on the map. (Literally, on the Poptropica Map.) Buying the Island Creator Kit might help you get started with some ideas. After seeing a few comments, I am clarifying: there is no purchase necessary.
How exciting! I will be partaking in the contest, but if anyone needs a little inspiration or help as well, so to speak, here’s my card. (I don’t really have a card.)

it’s weird, on the websught, your poptropicans age can go all the way to age 15, and start on age 6, but in the contest, it’s only 8-12. I DON’T GET IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You don’t have to buy it to participate – according to the official rules, “No purchase necessary. A purchase will not enhance your opportunity to win.” However, having the Island Creator Kit might give you some inspiration or at least insight into the creative process of making an island. 🙂

I saw your update and now I’m pretty excited, but the form doesn’t really make very much sense because usually the centerpiece of the island is not on the main street. Such as vampire hunter island or cryptids island.
Yeah, but Main Street is where your blimp is. (BTW: It’s Vampire’s Curse, not hunter.)
Well, I’m too old to participate so here’s some great ideas:
1.) Monster Carnival Island
– you know what this one is about
2.) Skyscraper Danger Island
– a skyscraper is on fire and it’s your job to save the citizens and discover who the criminal is
3.) Jungle Safari Island
– there’s a temple in the jungle with a sacred artifact; it’s your job to find the temple and protect yourself from the animals and evil curse that surrounds it
4.) Journey to the Center of Planet Poptropica Island
– you are in a cavern and fall 50 miles down in a hole and wind up in a new world where unicorns and mystical creatures thrive – a world that’s in Poptropica; but how are you going to get out?
5.) Cyberspace Island (or Computer Virus Hunter Island)
– You get zapped into a computer and experience a world like Tron – but in this version, the bad guy is a virus and you have to stop him
Oooh and I have another good idea –
6.) Where am I Island
– A guy takes you and next thing you know you are in a locked room, and you get out and there are more rooms, then you help the people get out and you all discover you are in a deserted town, and if you try to escape, you get hurt

I think I am going to go with Elphangor’s Journey to the Center of Poptropica Island idea, but with a few tweaks.
In addition to not being in the 8-12 age range, I also don’t live in the US, so I can’t participate either. 😦 If you do qualify, I’d encourage you to give this a try! Hopefully the winning island will be full of awesome. Plus, you can win a full set of Poptropica books. 😛

People in every country speak English! Obviously, if you’re on Poptropica, a site where there is no sound and ALL of the dialogue is in English, people understand and speak English. But yes, that’s absolutely ridiculous.
