Hey there!
This week has given us some new looks at Virus Hunter Island and the currently unnamed battle bot island (possibly Mocktropica Island). First off we got a look at a marvelous hero preparing to save Poptropica from the evil lurking within (literally).
Later, we were able to confirm that this was in fact a screen shot from… wait for it… the trailer for Virus Hunter which you can view below.
At the end we get a statement that Poptropica is “now in sound” which seems to confirm that not only this island will be released in sound, but that all of the previous islands can be looking for a full sound makeover in the possibly not so distant future.
The Daily Pop has also offered up some previews at what we can expect from this upcoming battle bot adventure.
The first preview appears to show a bot in action and the second appears to show something that could possibly be a battle arena surrounded by on watching battle bots. I am getting very, very excited about how these battle bots are going to fit into a story. Is it just me, or are these journeys inside of bodies and giant battling robots reminding you of Jimmy Neutron too?

COOL! 😀 I have been WAITING for this for a LONG time! Hopefully the cursor will stay the same (I’m pretty sure it will)! 🙂 The sound is one BIG step for Poptropica, considering Poptropica has been around for how long with no sound. 🙂 I think this island sounds REALLY fun! 🙂 Still, the only thing I don’t like about how the creators do the island now is that although they still have PLENTY of creativity, it seems as though they put less effort into the islands than they did before (although it does take A LOT to make an island!) and every island seems to be getting shorter than the one before (although they DID include the Bonus Quests, so I guess they thought that might cover up for it). I kind of wish also that they would have stuck to giving us 100 coins for completing an island, but oh well. I still like the new changes (in particular the sound and music)! 🙂

Wait but just wondering, how can you tell that all the previous islands will be getting sound makeovers? How do you know?
It says “Poptropica Now in sound” which with the 24 Carrot update only being beta I take as meaning that once all of the bugs are worked out of the 24 Carrot beta they will eventually apply it to all of Poptropica, not just Virus Hunter Island, or I think it would have only said “Virus Hunter Now in sound.”
