A look behind the scenes.

The creators have released a few pictures of the ‘behind the scenes’ work behind the release of Wimpy Boardwalk. Such as this one, where Jeff Kinney, Poptropica creator and Diary of a Wimpy Kid author, gives some advice to some of the Poptropica designers.

From this picture, we can tell two things. (Well, I can anyway. You may be able to find more.)

  1. It takes a LOT of designers to make a Wimpy Kid island.
  2. The designers are able to decorate their station with toys, posters, and other cool stuff!

So when you play a new island, just spare a thought for the people who have worked hard to make Poptropica the best it can be! 😀

There is probably a great deal of relief and satisfaction (and maybe a little partying) when a new island is released. Look at these lovely, big smiles!

Say cheese!

Gorgeous.

Members can play Wimpy Boardwalk now. On the 18th of July it will be released to non-members. Remember, if you get stuck, you can always refer to our Wimpy Boardwalk guide! (Credit going to Shaggy Tornado, Super Thunder, Clean Shark, MT, and Slanted Fish!)

Cya guys!

  1. Hi there. Slippery Tummy here. I was wondering if the creators actually see these messages. If you’re out there on break or something, do you think you can tell me a little about how poptropica works? Like the game rooms, and if there can be some sort of way ro select what you ask about, like typing the phrase “cell phone” and then letting your player ask the other player if they take pictues with their cell phones, or some system like that.
Thx for even reading this message,
    Slippery Tummy
P.S. Can you make an app so that we can actually play poptropica? That would be HAMAZING!

    1. Even if the Creators read this blog (there’s been some evidence of that in the past), they probably wouldn’t leave any comments. For safety reasons, Poptropica’s questions are all pre-written, so I don’t think they’ll be doing that (cool idea though). We (the Poptropica Help Blog) are not Creators ourselves.

There is an app for Poptropica guides written by the Creators, but no, there’s currently no app for playing Poptropica itself. However, there are plans to bring Poptropica to the Nintendo DS.

  2. I have a Nintendo DS. So That means we can play poptropica in the DS? Is it playing online? Or we just playing the other DS games like normal?

      1. well I want to. And i have been leaving my DS for too long i need more games in my DS and poptropica is the right for me even i got 94 games in my DS

What's popping, Poptropicans?
